Another Year Older
Well, today I turn 51. Yikes! I know I should be happy that it's my birthday, but I'm not. I know the alternative is I'd be in the ground, so I have that to be grateful for. Ever since I turned 40, I have not wanted to celebrate my birthday. My parents are coming, from Ohio, tomorrow to celebrate my birthday. So, I will put a smile on my face and act happy.So, how do you face growing older with grace and appreciation?

I hate celebrating birthdays also but its just a number to tell us how many years we have enjoyed.

I face growing older by enjoying the activities that bring me joy and laughter.
I also spend time with family and friends near and far with whom I like to share my experiences,my thoughts with and sometimes with total strangers.
I also try many new activities even the ones I've often found to be boring or not my style.By doing charitable giving of my time to others who are in need.
Spending time on two of my biggest passions is to travel and cooking.
Thank you. You have given me a lot of good ideas and things to think about. Instead of focusing on me, I can shift the focus to somebody else.
