"Public hearings won’t begin just yet. Next week the House is going on its fall recess and won’t be back in session until Nov. 12, which would be the earliest date which would be the earliest date the inquiry could resume
And then Thanksgiving, then Christmas and how about a break for New Years? I believe she has the power to keep them in session.
Good luck LAFONDA on getting to the Getty center. Took this off the Web.
The San Fernando Valley's notorious 101-405 interchange linking the Ventura and San Diego freeways - long seen as ground zero for the region's gridlock - has received a dubious distinction: being named the worst bottleneck in the nation, according to a study being released today.
It seems to me, having driven this bit of road a few times, that the 405 is only smooth sailing at 2 AM
I agree EXRED that unsults should not be allowed, but arguing??. Due mean that all blogs and forums should be so bland as to not raise any diff. of opinion?
A one week stay at a casino! If that happened to me I'd probably have to sell off my first born to cover my gambling losses. I hope you mailed your credit card home.
I like that LJ. I've told my kids the same thing . The Veterans Adm will do it all for free. Get me in the ground day or throw the ashes out in the desert somewhere. Do not spend any money!!!
LJ, I liked that comment of yours "WHAT IS A COUNTRY WITHOUT SENSE OF PATRIOTISM" . Although I think it can sometimes be overdone, without it there is no country.
I'm not so sure that i agree with that poll. I rated 50/50. I vote in every election and the last time I voted democrat was in 1978. Although it is true that as I grow older I am moving a tad bit to the left, to say I'm in the middle of the road I believe is absurd.
You're not a supporter of a president whom you think is 100 percent right in this policy? I used to be Democrat until I saw how they bent to destroy this country Oldie. Started with Clinton and then obammer
LJ; I did not say I wsa not a supporter of Trump, I said I was nit a STRONG supported of Trump. My only real problem with him is his arrogance.
This to me is a tricky question. I think we need to stay very involved but with less of the finanical burden. When NATO was first set up the European countries were still in disarary and it was not possible for them to handle what we would, today, consider their fair share. I am not a real strong Trump supporter, but he is 100% right here.
You speak of going back home, there is the old saying that you "can't go back home'. I tried that 20 some odd years ago and found that the saying is true. It had changed so much that it just was not "home" anymore. My memories were now just memories. Probably best to stay in Calif. just stay out of the CASINOS..
Real friends are a rare commodity. I've had a few in my life, unfortunately you reach an age wheren you start losing them. and I'm at that point now. But I believe that it is better to have had good friends and lost them than not to have had them at all.
I'm glad to hear everyone having an enjoyable late spring early summer day. Here in Lancaster Ca. it will be 96 degrres F today and 101 tomarrow. I need a beer.
Actually Ken_19 Korea was not split till after WW2. As for T.Rs. envolvement in Japans acquiring Korea in the early early 1900s I'm not sure that has been proven. It is true sonething was going on back then, but what?
More thoughts on this issue. I'm not sure of Kims reasons for this venture. If it suceeds Trump gets a lot of "hip hip hoorays". What does Kim get out of it. If he ends up with a more open country, he has problems. Dictators always create internal hostilities and make enemies. Which makes his position less secure. I read somewhere he really does like to leave the country because of this. I suspect this is somewhat of a sham on his part.
I'll cross my fingers, but I think it will be at best a very rocky road. Two men who are used to having their own way trying to come to a mutually agreeable sulation?
RE: Snow !!!! No !!!!! Go !!!!
Snow? That is something you go see then go back home where it's 75 degrees.
