We had 8 days of rain, followed by 2 days of no rain and are now in the midst of day 4 of rain. My grass has grown 2 feet and I can;t do a thing to prevent it while the rain continues.

Ken just go buy some goats, let them do the job and then sell them for a lot of money. Find some Filipinos. In New Jersey my cousin sells them to the Asian community.

Not so beautiful here - overcast but a perfect day to dig a hole to transplant a hostas and pull out and get rid of yet another bush!

Who'd have thought I would have created so much work for myself by people offering to remove my bushes for free.

Because now I have to replace those bushes and do something with the bed. I also had to put down some sod to fill in the grass as it had been overtaken by the bushes. And because the hostas was in the way, I had to dig that up and now replant it elsewhere and dig up all the weeds and moss that were hiding under the bushes.

I hadn't planned on having the bushes pulled right yet, but when two people offered to do it at minimal cost, how could I say no? Kind of like looking a gift horse in the mouth.

I,ve been doing a lot of weeding lately in my field...got rid of a lot of stinging nettles, thistles and ragwort , because my ponies will get ill from eating ragwort, so it must be done
