My blessing, today my daughter was flown in rom Frisco and will drive with me back to the West Coast
Some people count their blessings based on material wealth. I guess there is nothing wrong with that really. For me, I count my blessings with my health (very active at 67, still do 100 push up a day), but most especially the love of my children, and my friends.
I have decided to go back and live permanently in California as I am now fully retired.
I will be very close to all my children and grandchildren and live very modestly and simply. Of course, I still hope to travel the world as I am accustomed to and just smell the roses and enjoy nature which I love very much.
My youngest daughter offered to drive with me and I am more than thrilled with this adventure.
We are leaving today, it takes at least two days before we get back home. I will not be able to baby sit this blog but thanks all for your read and or comment if any.
This was taken in Utah at the salt basin.
On top of the mountain covered with salt.

today in Oakland airport, my first time to use it, and quite stressed free. I normally fly through San Francisco, because of Delta and United but boy how easy and less crowded Oakland is. Jan. 20, 2019
And that's the Pacific Ocean behind me through the window.

Mostly freeways and so the road will not be that bad, traffic is heavy on daytime, though but we will just take it easy.l
I used to lived in Lake Tahoe by highway 50 and it is just a beautiful country. Highway 50 is so beautiful. One of the most scenic road I have been into. I drove from Lake Lausanne, Geneva to Interlaken up to Andermatt and it is one beautiful country. Then my friend and I took the train all the way to Saint Morits and it is so majestically beautiful. Up by Eagle Lake on Highway 80 (another way to Sacramento from Reno) is very similar.
I hope we will not have any trouble with my vehicle. I made sure all the fluids are full and it was checked up thoroughly from the dealership before this trip. I have a 2012 X5 and with gazilion miles now that I am planning on trading it in. Still paying and hopefully I will be able to do just that next year.

Take your time and be careful!
I have driven across country many times. I wish I could ride along with you.
I once drove nonstop from LA to Louisville, KY. That was quite a trip!
Yeah I have done quite a bit of driving 30 some years ago. Twice to Mexico from San Francisco to Guadalajara. My relatives used to live there and have guava plantation. We drove about two or three times.
But now I prefer flying and the only reason I am driving this time is because I will be there for about 90 days.
With my daughter at one of our stop over where we had lunch.
