Undoubtedly, that, and trying to appear as the "truly great" commander-in-chief, while we are "under attack" is his plan. However, I've seen 3 years of his performance. No amount of $$$ can buy my vote.
By the way, perhaps someone can explain to me why a couple making $180,000 a year needs any additional check on the taxpayers back ?
Unless you are giving it to me, NY is not actually my state. It does have it's own fairly unique problem with regard to the pandemic, it contains one of the most densely populated regions in the world, which, unfortunately, plays into the Covid-19's wheelhouse. Dealing with the pandemic in that region is a real challenge. Even people forced to stay home, are not truly in ideal isolation situations.
Mark, remember, that the first report of anyone having this virus was the last day of 2019. Thus, as far as we know, no one died of Covid-19 in the last quarter of 2018 or 2019. Indeed, statistically speaking, it is highly unlikely that Covid-19 was responsible for the increase in deaths at that time. Indeed, considering the size of the population, the increase could be due to other reasons, or it might even be a statistical anomaly. However, that's not saying that deaths due to Covid-19 in the first quarter of this year might be under reported.
D - thanks for the Politico link checking a statement by some comedian, who I never heard of. This does not negate the accurate story from Reuters which details what WAS done. Even the comedian's statement, which was mostly false, was partly true.
OK, so he didn't fire EVERYONE, just most of them. Without a doubt he weakened it, because he wrongly felt it wasn't as important as giving those rich people their PERMANENT tax cuts.
Mark healthcare workers have follow the same guidelines that the rest of us do, or they are going to get infected at an even higher rate. They have to thoroughly wash hands with soap & water after coming in contact that any patient or touching any surface that has had the possibility of coming in contact with an infected person, and they have to keep at least 6 to 8 feet from patients unless they wear face masks and other gear designed to protect the eyes, mouth & nasal passages. Otherwise, they will get infected from the patients and each other.
the other people who look like fools are the ones who voted for Trump and continue to support him. I've consistently said, that Trump is a danger to this country and the people who inhabit it.
Either way, I'm betting, that washing your clothes with soap probably won't increase your chances of getting the virus. Perhaps the contrary. Soap destroys the virus capsule.
Hey, people are trying all sorts of home remedies. I suppose witches brews are bound to be on someone's list eventually. However, I'm not sure the newts will.....see it the same way.
Since I have only been to 3 countries (and not seen ALL of any country), I am unqualified to make the judgement as to which is the best country. I certainly like some things about the USA and dislike some other things. I'm guessing that every country has room for improvement. This one definitely does. For instance, adoption of a universal health plan that insured everyone who needs it would be a great improvement. That's clear. Changing the presidential election to a simple majority would yield better results as evidenced not only by the last presidential election, but also the next to last time the loser won the election, George W. Bush.
I have no objection to your path. I use it myself. Being more inclusive does not necessarily imply, more conclusive. Regardless, preliminary results are still results, that should not be totally ignored, but investigated. Indeed, they can inspire larger scale trials. In this case, the drug appears to be relatively safe, targeting an RNA reverse transcriptase, something some viruses have, and we don't. The larger trials will of course give much more reliable data and science may even improve the drug. The long term solution however still lies with development of an effective vaccine, which also needs to pass human trials.
The point is, that this is THE most dishonest US president in history and it isn't close at all. Unfortunately, it is quite dangerous to this country and it's inhabitants. He should have been removed from office a long while ago. Hopefully, the public will en masse be enraged and vote to remove him, rather than sitting back and assuming others will, as they did 4 years ago.
Will they also attempt to remove the many videos of him stating more than 10 thousand lies ? Perhaps they will bury them in the forest and then rake it. Perhaps Mexico will pay for it ?
That's an important safeguard check - to compare death rates prior to Covid-19 infections to current rates. Without testing, death could be attributed to other diseases and maladies. Thanks for posting that article Mark.
So a 55% death rate just doesn't excite you enough to make a big deal about it ? With that attitude, now I understand why you think Trump is terrific. Compared to your attitude, I guess he is terrific. Compared to a normal human being, not at all.
To me she sounds credible with what I heard. I'd like to hear from the lawyers, who after interviewing her, decided there was a conflict of interest. I hope that we learn the truth about Biden's Kavanaugh's and Trump's misdeeds and that justice is served for all.
~ 2,500 new cased of Covid-19 here today in New Jersey alone. 19 new Covid-19 related deaths too. It's not getting better yet here. I hope things are better there.
A conversation, that may have actually taken place. lol
