There's some big differences. Women have turned their backs on Trump. Blacks are more turned off to Trump. Some Republicans are fed up with Trump. And in general, Trump has lost his persona of someone who knows how to do things. Rather than exploiting the money he inherited to publicize himself, America (and the world) got to actually see the results of his ineptness and mismanagement, as well as his obnoxious personality. He did not benefit from having the network cut out the bad parts. We all got to see them. Everyone got to much more know the real Trump. The guy who has no idea how to manage money, treat people, or get things done. He no longer has the allure of a TV star. Now he has to justify kids in cages, a horrible pandemic, all the lies, and his ridiculous statements & decisions. It's no longer, give him a chance. He blew his chance BIG time !
Trump's approval rating is falling and now already BELOW that of Jimmy Carter's on potential re-elections day. With several weeks to go it seems that Trump has a good chance of being the new record holder for worst approval rating on potential re-election day. Since he is officially the worst US president in history, this should not come as a surprise to anyone. Some people on here, have suggested, that Trump might even resign before the election in order to save some face. Some also suggest that he will change his residence to a foreign country to avoid impending prosecution for his crimes against the nation. It will be interesting to see if either, or both of those things actually take place. Either way, it currently appears that Trump will lose the election by a comfortable margin. It may even be a landslide.
Thanks for posting this TED talk. I enjoyed it a lot. It sounds like a very good idea. Something that could help expend radioactive waste and yield cheap electricity in a safer reaction sounds like a triple win, if appropriate precautions are included. Adding to this, that it would replace CO2 producing energy makes it somewhat urgent. The benefits far outweigh the risks.
This was your same statement from you as last year. You have to make some excuses for people to vote for the worst candidate in this century (Trump). However, most people are smart enough to realize, that there is a clear difference between the candidates and Biden is a far better choice than Trump. Even a lot of people who voted for Trump in 2016, see what a horrible mistake they made. You think Trump will win because of corporate cash. But, the public has had more than enough of Trump and his absolutely horrendous "so-called" presidency. It doesn't matter how many ads Trump will buy. Most people are sick of seeing him and more ads are just going to motivate them to vote against Trump Biden will get far more votes than Hillary or Trump. Even before the pandemic Biden was predicted to win.
That's like Jeffrey Dahmer accusing someone else of not using grade A beef in their dinner. Trump is a dope. Sure, he's smarter than his supporters. But, that isn't saying much.
Yeah, it's very possible. He may hold another record. Most lies. Most corruption. And worst approval rating on potential re-election day. Add to that Worst US president ever (officially) and an impeachment and that's quite a record to beat. Hopefully no one ever will again. In the future, we have to verify that the candidates and the voters have well working brains. Clearly that was not the case in 2016. And having seen some of the deleted comments on here, it's still true.
It's the virus's fault. However, those who do not respect it's mode of transmission and protect themselves from that, are more likely to get it.
Unfortunately, the "so-called" president exhibited horrendous leadership, as did not prepare the nation for it's arrival. Instead, he did the opposite, by denying it's potential, ignoring warnings, not following the pandemic response handbook, paring down the pandemic response team, urging inappropriate medical advice, and not coordinating a central distribution center for medical supplies, as well as urging quick re-openings after shut-downs.
You are motivated by your fears. And fears are often irrational. One fear is of the unknown. The more you get to know whatever people you fear, the more likely you will lose your fears and be able to develop friendships incorporating more understanding.
A clear inside look at the dysfunctional Donald Trump and the roots of his dysfunctions.
