c - As a microbiologist, I know more than the average person. But, if the average person listens to actual virologists, rather than the idiot in the White House, they would be much better informed about this virus.
It's very clear, that the virus can easily spread from moisture in sneezes and coughs, and even loud talking, if masks are not worn. If a person does not take preventive measures from this, they become more susceptible. Only a complete idiot would reject this.
While I would not wish illness on anyone, men in the senate are usually not young people. That does not mix well with this particular virus. Ironicly, history may remember Trump, as the man who did clear 'the swamp'...... by serendipity. Does anyone know if Trump kissed McConnell, like he did Hope Hicks the other day ?
If Pence gets Covid-19 and he & Trump can't handle the duties of the president (which they can't do well, even when they don't have Covid-19), Nancy Pelosi will become the commander-in-chief.
Add Chris Christie to the expanding list of GOP diagnosed with Covid-19. Considering how overweight Christie is, this might be especially problematic for him.
I remember my dad doing a similar thing. Except it wasn't the kitchen involved. The BBQ was in the backyard and the TV was in the livingroom And the ball game went into extra innings. And the steaks went up in flames. He ate one of them anyway, proclaiming "there's nothing wrong with these steaks". At least I think he ate one of the steaks. It might have been a charcoal brickette that he ate. It was indistinguishable, just as black & crunchy.
It seems that a White House ceremony for the newly nominated judge, where many guests did not wear masks, nor socially distance, was the focal point for the White House viral outbreak. Everyone who got it, obviously played a role in it's transmission.

L - So far, I'm not sure Trump is even showing symptoms yet. Time will tell how it will progress. Certainly any president has the best in healthcare courtesy of the taxpayers.
At this point, Trump can still be the commander-in-chief. However, if he becomes unable to fulfill his duties, the vice-president, Mike Pence will be in charge. If they both become unable to fulfill those duties, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi will be in charge.
Trump did so bad in the debate, one has to wonder, if this is merely a ploy to get out of the other 2 debates. Perhaps not. But with considering how corrupt he is, one has to wonder.
Yes, I am watching the Breaking News now. While I don't wish illness on anyone, there may be some karma in Trump getting Covid-19 after ridiculing people like Biden for wearing a mask.
Once the rest of the world has seen that debate, they will be shaking their heads and loose even more respect for the USA. Trump is creating decades of problems for future presidents, including Biden.
The last part of your statement is untrue. Biden served the US as vice-president and was elected to 6 terms as a US senator. He will be a very worthy president. Indeed, far more worthy than most candidates and certainly more worthy than Trump, who never served any public service before his only election.
Also, the mike should go off automatically after (i.e. 3 minutes). There should be a good size digital clock in each booth silently counting down the seconds remaining until the mike automatically goes off.
