How does a person know if he/she is humble? I was asked this..............my answer.........

Now don't you go technical on me lol
But yes I hear you.

Do you need a "washing?"

NEED WASHING??

A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in 'Mom let's run through the rain,' she said.
'What?' Mom asked.
'Lets run through the rain!' She repeated
'No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit,' Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated: 'Mom, let's run through the rain,'
'We'll get soaked if we do,' Mom said.
'No, we won't, Mom.. That's not what you said this morning,' the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?
'Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!'
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes.
Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
'Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing,' Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories...So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.
I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Send this to the people you'll never forget and remember to also send it to the person who sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them.
If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry.
Take the time to live!!!
Keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need each other -- and don't forget to run in the rain!

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

Just having fun with you girl.
It is your home so...........

RE: "Killing Hope"

Foreigners are concerned about the things that happpen.
What happens in the Stated afects the rest of the world.
That is why we are sticking our nose at times in the US politics.
More than at any other time emotions run high because of the elections.
I believe this will be different, less so, once the die has been cast.

How does a person know if he/she is humble? I was asked this..............my answer.........

It comes natural been brought up with it.
It keeps my balance too.
Being able to laugh at myself, sit here laughing
out loud at times when people send me funny stuff.

I would not make it if it was not for my corny sense
of humour.

I love one liners. Found out one day that my humour
is slightly sarcastic.

This is my family when growning up.

"I went with my leg to the doctor"
Someone would pipe up with the come-back,
"Well it would have been difficult to leave
it at home eh?"

I was "trained" in having a come back all the time.

RE: How do you hide your pain ?

Good points Claayer! comfort handshake

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

Phones for reservations, starts packing.
Calls taxi to get her to the airport.
Oh, need to buy food to eat on the plane.
Claayer is waiting to pick her up.
Tells Claayer to leave the home and come
back when I tell her too.
Claayer comes home.
Claayer is in shock, is this really my home now?
The place is sooo much bigger now.

Yes and remember there is never a van following the hearse.

I would love to organize a pack-rat's place.
Have you ever seen on TV where people were
hoarders, you could barely move in their home?
Don't let that happen too you! lol

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

Right Ken I now remember you told this

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

It makes live easier to put things back in it's place.

How does a person know if he/she is humble? I was asked this..............my answer.........

If you need to ask; No, you are not humble.
A real humble person does not even know he/she is humble.

Yeah me? I am proud to be sooo humble. lol

Do you meditate? Does it help you to relieve stress or do you use other methods?.......

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

I am the oldest of 6 kids.
Very small living quarters. Size of my kitchen today.
My mother was a firm believer in "needing it someday"

You were forever having to hunt for sciscors, a needle etc.
As nothing stayed in its place.
How often I would clean up but it did not stay that way
for long
First thing I got was a sewing box, when I married.
I am organized, yet my home is not a museum, I live here
and you can tell that I do.

My one rule? Use something, then put it back in the same place.

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

You have never seen a moving van behind a hearse.

Get my drift?
I see people with cabinets full of stuff.
One woman needed three cabinets OMG
Most likely the kids don't want it either

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

He Claayer

Would you let me come over and do it for you?
I would love to tackle this.
Be prepared to see a truck parked up front.
Yes Claayer a large and empty truck or two, util
I am done.
Pleazzzzzzz!

Please try this meditation to relax and heal the body mind and soul.

Sit in a comfortable position

Start to imagine that your body is slowly filling with light, starting from the feet and slowly moving upwards

As the light is moving up your body ----- feel that this light is relaxing the muscles and your mind.

Now imagine that any areas of disease or pain in your body is surrounded by a dark shadow which represents the unhealthy area.

I feel the light moving upwards until my entire body is filled with light and every muscle of my body is feeling relaxed.

Now feel that your body of light is radiating the light out from your eyes, the light is shining as if a torch is shinning out from your eyes.

Now feel that you are directing the light towards any area of the body that is giving you pain or discomfort, represented as a shadow on your body.

Feel that you are sending extra light to this area that is in pain or discomfort.

Imagine that the diseased or painful areas have dark shadows surrounding it.

Now feel that you are shinning a loving healing light to the diseased or painful areas so that the darkness is removed.

I radiate my shining light to my body and fill my bodies with this warm healing light.

I now radiate this healing light to the world.

I begin to feel that this healing light is returning me to health and vitality

Perfect health is available to me now.

TM is a technique which allows the mind to settle
down to a less excited state. You experience
quieter and quieter levels levels of thinking till
you arrive at a state of complete mental stillness.
In this state the mind is said to have gone beyond,
or' transcended' the everyday levels of thought,
hence the name-Transcendental Meditation.
As the mind settles down the body follows suit,
becoming more relaxed than during sleep.
It is not a state of unconciousness or hypnotic
trance, its simply a state of mental and physical
quiet along with full inner wakefulness.

The fact that you say this would not work for you,
as your mind will not 'quieten down' suggests that
you would indeed benefit from learning the TM
technique.[/

I know myself very well.
My mind never stops.
My dad used to tell me that I could ask more
questions than ten wise men could answer.

Now how do I start with meditationing?
What your telling here I can see that this takes a
lot of time.

RE: HHmmmmmm!!! Interesting thought..

Not being able to make a decision can be cripling.
I am a analyzer, doing this makes it impossible to get away from yourself.
Still you need to be careful as you can become your own worsed enemy too.

Have been told that some people are surprised how flexable I still am even now.
Yeah, anymore flexability and I will resemble a pretzle lol

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

I don't like shopping either. I just want to get what I need and get out of the stores.

It's mainly the rude people and I get so tired of having people running their carts into me and blocking the aisles while they're busy gossiping about whomever and whatever.
Right on! You ask them to move and they do, but go right back
to the same spot.

Do you meditate? Does it help you to relieve stress or do you use other methods?.......

Meditating on the whole thing, like what thing?

Are you a pack-rat? Save things forever, may need it later, years pass, you still got it?

Even with the many moves I have made I still had to give away things.
What helps me is I do not like shopping.
You won't find me often at a mall.

Yeh just sit and take it all in...

Guys i mean the music..
Good you clarified this. lol

Yeah I believe your right just relaxing while listening.
I did do this when in a relationship, laying on the
bed and listening.
This alone thing changes things somewhat.

12 moves in my 21 year marriage.
Every box unpacked and emptied the very first day.
Pictures were hung the next day and all was done!

I often hear people say; oh I have boxes yet to unpack from
our last move three years ago.
Like you I would say; sell or give it away it is obvious not needed by you.
