My late husband was 6 1/2 years younger than me. I married him when 48 years old. Okay, personally I wonder if now, that I am 71, it is not more a serious matter? Who is going to be there for me ten, fifteen years from now? Yes it could very well be, that I would be taking care of you and not you me. I have learned this much; Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. Leaving today, as The day! None of us knows how much longer we will be around on this planet. I used to think different as forever etc. Not anymore! I have crossed many bridges that later turned out, where never there!
I am alive today and feel alive and tomorrow? Who then lives, who then worries!
We know who we are dealing with in Canada, (I think) and I think it is enough time, for me anyway. Everybody is sick and tired of the lengthy US crap. There is no end to their campaining. For month you don't read, hear, anything else! It amazes me to no end how they still can come up with these two candidates having what how many million people living in the US? Google; Skull and crosbones and you may understand more.
A blonde goes to the post office to buy stamps for her Christmas cards. She says to the clerk, "May I have 50 Christmas stamps?" The clerk says, "What denomination?" The blonde says, "God help us. Has it come to this? Give me 6 Catholic, 12 Presbyterian, 10 Lutheran and 22 Baptist.
I have to smile at some of you Whipper Snappers. "getting there" "over the hill" ect. Yesterday I became 69 and next year will be 68 lol The admininstraters have no sense of humour. I now show 71. Want you guys/girls to know, she ain't over the hill!
Got for sure 30 years to go. That is the plan for now anyway. My mom died at 94 1/2 and I need to beat that one.
Yes some cities had the grand idea to leave bikes everywhere for people to use and then to leave wherever. Many people paint their bikes all colours of the rainbow in the hope no one want to steal them.
When you go to the railway station or department stores you can see hundreds of bikes. How people can find their's is a mystery. No one has to wear a bike helmet either (nor in China) only when motorized they have too.
Crazy; here scate boarders are not made to wear a helmet. Go figure.
While living in Holland we used the bike all winter and yes it rains a lot to. I love to walk in the rain or storm. I walk more now and I know a lot of people do. I also watch that I don't buy at Governement gas stations.
Yes in Europe they pay a lot more than even we do. No wonder the women, who mostly were stay at home moms, now have to work to help keep the car running.
Thank you! I did not use a calculator but Canadianas are paying about. $5.28 a US Gallon? Outch and American think they pay a lot? What are you paying guys in the US?
Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
* Accept that some days you ' re the pigeon, and some days you ' re the statue.
* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
* Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
* Drive carefully. It ' s not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.
* If you can ' t be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
* If you lend someone £20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won ' t have a leg to stand on.
* Nobody cares if you can ' t dance well. Just get up and dance.
* Since it ' s the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
* The second mouse gets the cheese.
* When everything ' s coming your way, you ' re in the wrong lane.
* Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
* You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.
*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today....
If America goes so goes Canada! What I find very, very, scary is that America is in debt for what? about 10 trillion how many zero's is that? and owning that mostly to China. How long can this go on still?
Gas in B.C today was $1.45 a litter am I correct 4 1/2 litters in a gallon? Say I got that one wrong!
Three women friends, one in a casual relationship, one engaged to be married and one a long-time wife, met for drinks after work. The conversation eventually drifted towards how best to spice up their 's e x' lives. After much discussion, they decided to surprise their men by engaging in some S&M role playing.
The following week they met up again to compare notes.
Sipping her drink, the single girl leered and said, 'Last Friday, at the end of the work day, I went to my boyfriend's office wearing a leather coat. When all the other people had left, I slipped out of it and all I had on was a leather bodice, black stockings and stiletto heels. He was so turned on that we made mad passionate love on his desk right then and there!'
The engaged woman giggled and said, 'That's pretty much my story! When my fiancie got home last Friday, he found me waiting for him in a black mask, leather bodice, black hose and stiletto pumps. He was so turned on that we not only made love all night, he wants to move up our wedding date!'
The married woman put her glass down and said, 'I did a lot of planning. I made arrangements for the kids to stay over at Grandma's. I took a long scented-oil bath and then put on my best perfume. I slipped into a tight leather bodice, a black garter belt, black stockings and six-inch stilettos. I finished it off with a black mask. When my husband got home from work, he grabbed a beer and the remote, sat down and yelled, 'Hey, Batman, what's for dinner?''
Adding my prayer to the others for you mom and for you as it can not be an easy thing to see your mom fading awsy. You did not say if your mom is in pain so I prayed that is she does, it will be lifted from her,
Lol you are lightening things up for sure. That was very funny ship. Now just to please the, you no what, out of you here is your favorite little bear ha ha
Oh my momma did not make stupid babies. I understand perfectly. There was a remark earlier about too many religious and political post. So I dug up some jokes trying to lightening up stuff. Then I am told too many jokes on here. Lol I give up can't win for losing. No, my remark had nothing to do with me not understanding or not knowing about the rules either. I am very capable of reading. So it has not a thing to do about what I prefer was simply trying to please some. Cheers to you too.
I am putting some on here to try and lightening things up some. I son't do this for me, as I already know them. Some are repeats but worth repeating I think.
