THE CASE OF THE COW TICKS This one happened a few years ago. Two female friends and I used to go digging for Taino artifacts in Jamaica. Every sunday we would climb this hill that was several feet above sea level and gave a nice view of the capital Kingston. Now this place with very rocky and busy. Sometimes we'd see cows about grazing. On this particular day one of my companions went off into the bush exploring. Me and the other friend stayed out in the open.
When it was time to leave we were preparing to go home and I noticed something looking like brown dust on the friend who was in the bush. She said she had brushed against some plants and not to worry it was just pollen and since much of the pollen was the same light brown colour as her skin we thought nothing of it. So we merrily hopped into the car and drove off.
However, halfway down the hill, I kinda noticed that the pollen was moving. Then on closer inspeciton discovered that the pollen HAD LEGS! My friend was covered all over in a mass of COW TICKS. Thankfully we had some bug spray and tossing all modesty aside my friend ripped off the blouse and we emptied all the bottles of bug spray on her. Rushed down the hill at top speed down the steep hill to her house where she flew inside. When we called her later that day to see how she had survived she told us she was busy scrubbing with hot water and becoming one with a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
Boy of course you could handle it, if you men so brave and capable of running down tief, running countries and fighting wars what's a little pregnancy. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Well I left the relationship because it was abusive, I would much rather be single than live like that. As for faults I am sure I have many and so did he. I was ready to settle down and my mistake was getting involved too soon. The good thing about making mistakes is that you can learn from them. Some people walk away damaged and bitter from such situations and close off their heart. I got to walk away with a hard lesson and the best gift ever - my little girl. There comes a time when you have to put aside the drama(for me that meant custody battles, arguments, threats etc...) and the blame and get on with your life. I have no more time for the blame game as I have someone now that depends on me to be a good example. As much as I may not like the man or the things he did I have made peace with the fact that without having met him I would never have had this wonderful angel.
