Aged about six my daughter fell and got some grit embedded in her knee, the doctor was getting it out she was sreaming blue murder and my son went and hid with his hands covering his ears under a chair, he was four! I didn't know which to comfort and I was losing it myself!
Yet with others children I was always able to cope well.
''My Mom and Dad talk funny when they drink beer and the more they drink the more they give kisses to each other, which is a good thing.' --Toby, 7 years old and the dancing into the pool
Personally anyone young enough to be my child, or old enough to be my parent is not comfortable for me. And as to grandchild or grandparent age difference, just not right at all.
Saying that I dated a guy 14 years younger, but can't imagine doing it again.
Yes I know what you mean, it plays havoc with my hot flushes, so I have loved this summer with so much rain, where everyone else says it was bad, my garden looks lovely.
No idea what most think of me, varied views no doubt.
The fact that I have a bee in my bonnet about plagiarism grates with many, but I don't know why people think it's ok to steal others words instead of saying where they are from or who wrote them. It isn't just poetry it's reams that are copied and pasted from other sites and settled into a thread as if they were their own.
Could do with a bee in bonnet emotion, I may well wear it out.....
