RE: Sense of humors or looks?

I'll be totally honest; he has to find ME funny grin nothing gets me going as being understood as a witty person. However... though the looks are secondary to that I would lose my zeal if he looked like a donkey uh oh

RE: an sos to the world ..

moping really??? seriously??? Guess I'm not eligable for the game then... no game for the hunter... doh any suggestions of help...? I know you guys don't look at wimmin's photos here but I'm wearing a skirt.... albeit no high heels for me blues Now you got me confused as to my identity as a wannabe feminist.

RE: Age Range for dating?

In my case, the age range is getting narrower and narrower... I'd say 6 years plus and 3 minus starts to stretch my limits... Now I look to astrology for help as my discernment is not acute enough for reasons of overwhelming input; apparently 3 years my senior would be ideal grin Sounds fair enough!

RE: Honestly???

laugh Life is a stage and all the men and women merely players as Shakespear put it, lol we're all acting... what a dummy!

RE: Honestly???

It's called projection when you look for qualities in the other that you don't possess yourself... I've met men who wanted to be honest but ended up screwing it all up in one way or another... dunno

RE: INTERNET DATING IS IT A GAME?

Actually a form of "game" is also the scenario where either the man or the woman simply don't put much effort into the contact. I usually drop people who aren't enthusiastic. They probably won't be in real life either. You do have to have some sort of gutfeeling about your online date but a dash of realism as well.wine

RE: INTERNET DATING IS IT A GAME?

For some it is, they don't take love that seriously nor respect other people's feelings. It's also an overwhelming task... requires a lot of thought and discernment. If you do start to talk a lot yes you CAN have certain feelings but I do NOT believe it when someone tells me they love me at first "sight". Usually they disappear or turn out to be really nasty figures. So sure you can speak about feelings but don't expect them to be returned until you've met and made sure you really do match. cheers

RE: ARE MEN DIFFERENT?

laugh oh dear here we go, the unfathomable maze of the female mind... grin Ok what I REALLY mean is that when there's enough information I am able to read inbetween the lines... otherwise it's well nigh impossible I'm afraid! beer

RE: an sos to the world ..

Nice question thumbs up

RE: an sos to the world ..

Look inside for answers, not outside cheers

RE: ARE MEN DIFFERENT?

Ah ok, male shorthand again grin

RE: I NEED HELP ASAP

Haha, quite funny - I can see myself being in that situation after my death. Since artists usually get recognized and idolized once they are out of sigth grin

RE: a genie

Actually something I was just thinking about because a guy I've talked to said why spend your whole life wondering and worrying about the purpose of your life when you can just live and enjoy it... I was a bit taken aback since pondering in a spiritual sense is part of my existance in a very deep way. I think that the difference is that I don't sit around "wondering", I'm actually serious about attaining certan spiritual "goals" (this is very simplistically explained as I don't want to make it into an essay). So I think that for me it would be deep contentment that has something very spiritual to it; a sense of my existance as being deeply meaningful, inner peace, sincere altruism and awareness of the unity of all that exists. It goes without saying that happiness and joy and maybe even a soulmate would follow upon such a sense of flow in life. joy

RE: ARE MEN DIFFERENT?

???? sorry don't get your comment confused

RE: ARE MEN DIFFERENT?

Now come now Lago don't get too excited... but... I wonder how come they let her into Sweden in the first place? Don't they do a check up on moral values first to see if you will integrate into a society based on equality? If not, I think it would be a good idea. Maybe she is illegal? roll eyes

RE: ARE MEN DIFFERENT?

I invite you to come and check it out though. Only experience can answer the question "ARE THEY DIFFERENT" OR "ARE THEY FROM MARS"... I think you need some non-catholics to compare with cheers

RE: ARE MEN DIFFERENT?

All I can say is poor you! Hey, we have a female president and the husband is actually being the "second lady" rolling on the floor laughing that's the kind of man I think I'll be needing one day! grin though at second thought, with a lil more zeal than the stay-at-home husbands over here though... cool

RE: A special offer to the women

Cool, I'll just alert my neighbour there to the East of the border... he'll know what to do grin He won't resist the plea of a Scandinavian born and bred in this country. I'll do what it takes to prove that I'm on the path of the Bodhisattva (Buddha of Compassion). cheering

RE: ARE MEN DIFFERENT?

There are loads of house husbands in Scandinavia. That's one reason trying to adapt to other cultures can be even worse. Ok they don't open the doors for us women anymore... it's a shame IMO. I hope gradually there will be an equality that also allows for les petites différences, that is the things that make us unique as men and women.

RE: Younger Men...

Right... and them hormones will quickly turn into adrenaline and other strange effects when the woman says nah... maybe not? roll eyes But yes, I don't mind watching that joy from afar grin

RE: Younger Men...

There's a point, however I rather be whizzled at in the street but that never happens... so that proves a point, right? And also, if you do want attention here all you do is turn on IM and change age filter... should do the trick rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Until September

Cool! Take care then! wave stay away from the appetizing young lads ok!

RE: Sometimes I prefer the blogs

Somehow when I have a writer's block I'm able to blog. Not many read it and frankly I don't want them to either... trusting that the right people come along, those who are non-judgmental. Blogs can be exceedingly boring though. So it all depends. Finding the right ones can be a problem. But Jan, I don't think we like you only because of your pic... I don't! I mean I do but not because of your pic... errm. bouquet

RE: Cosmetic surgery

I'm sorry if you took my comment on old guy's bumbs that seriously... eek. Didn't think of you as THAT old dear grin

RE: Cosmetic surgery

Jan,
I understand the "thinking about things" part, seems to be a lot of that going on in my own head also now that I've reached a certain age. The face is a bit of a problem... true. Some people have really sagging parts above the eyes so the eyes disappear... I don't think I'd do anything if it wasn't anything really bad like that. A guy your age won't mind how you are; again with a younger one you might feel self-conscious.

The results I've seen when the wrong suregeons have butchered some beautiful women's eyes was devastating. Botox as has been pointed out will get you hooked (needs renewal at least every 6 months) plus it's a poison and expensive too. We have enough poison coming in as it its... All I'd do is fix my skin and get those annoying hairs removed by laser.

What does help is not smoking or drinking excessively. Drinking lots of water helps. Maybe more eco food (sprouts for instance are a real booster). On top of that there are some reasonably priced skin products, natural and full of antioxidants. I also try not to frown so much and it seems to be working just a teeny bit. I can really dislike myself when i'm tired but well rested - much better. Beauty truly shines from the inside. Natural is beautiful! teddybear

RE: the 'BOY WHAT A WEEK I'VE HAD ' thread ! for people that want to talk about how their weeks going !

It's true that it's bloody taboo to talk about "difficult" things that happen to US, but as a woman I see how it's about sharing not finding wound buddies. Many people have trouble with that, they obviously have some issues of their own that they project in order to feel "holier than thou". Met millions online doh
Yeah break the ice, good point! yay
So how WAS your week in the end???

RE: the 'BOY WHAT A WEEK I'VE HAD ' thread ! for people that want to talk about how their weeks going !

That's all fine and dandy but it didn't really come across in your sarcastic exposé and I am not sure what it's supposed to prove in a thread that has nothing to do with your aunt's attitude about life. If you feel like gathering a choir of preachers, why not start a group instead? thumbs up

RE: Award ceremony.

Sigh if only times were that simple... yet, there is....

hope! thumbs up

RE: Award ceremony.

However, since we're being educational here; it's kind of part of general knowledge to know about Tom of Finland grin so you can all take it as such maybe it helps if you're now throwing up in the bathroom wine

RE: Award ceremony.

Nah... just follow the link to the box that says "contest", there were some rather gross pix there but also some alluring ones grin
