Hm ok, it did seem that you had your mind set about me. Unfortunately I have no idea what ribbings are but I seem to get the drift... yes you certainly are right about people who don't fit the mould, thank you for standing up for a good cause!
I appreciate your concern, that's more than you get from a lot of people! I'm not sure people got what I was trying to say but I wasn't exactly upset, however I did get irritated that someone just put me on list but then didn't care to see if anyone was asking for correction, which was after all promised. And at second thought... some fun things just get a bit too personal, intrusive or silly. Turns out Gilly has had a reason to stay out of the forums so it's ok... I mostly wanted to make a point... some well meaning issues can wreck or disrupt other people's lives. All I'm saying is that whoever starts something should take responsibility for it too.
Good poll, wish more people would join. When I was studying these subjects (the world religions) I read that 25% of all the people in the Western world believe in reincarnation. Even that is a good score. I can't think how one could NOT believe in it, LOL. It's so logical!
Hm I suppose this is a compliment, whatever I do I do with passion but passion as we know usually doesn't last... hm I think I just figured something out about myself.
Thanks. Well don't take it so personally and certainly not read into words too much... would be my advice since I tend to do that and I always end up like this:
It was just a joke. Though in all honesty some people talk in a way that I can't understand at all and it leaves me:
So while some people find my lengthy posts tedious I find their short references to things unkown to me tedious too... Guess we're even.
Cool! They always say, look to improve yourself and your close environment, that way you can help improve the world. So should we start here at CS then?
Why thanks!! That was very nice to hear! You do wonder sometimes how you come across on these forums so feedback is certainly welcome. You made my day!
I'm totally with Jlleb (sorry can't remember your name) that lists that include vs exclude people are rude. I sometimes venture to Twitter but started to get REALLY annoyed with the mentality of hoarding followers and having a #followfriday where you suggest cool people to follow. I was never mentioned... finally I barked loud and clear and deleted anyone who was doing this. Funny thing, one lady who was supposedly spiritual said she did it OUT OF LOVE! For Christ's sake... I'm sorry but what is the world coming to? I've been around Americans a lot and everything has to be so uppety, loveydovey and sugarcoated all the time, so maybe what some people are feeling is simply what the Americans perceive as European negativity while in actual fact a lot of it is irony. I'm not making this up; I think there's a real problem there. We really seem to have a very different way of communicating and socializing, so when Americans and Europeans are put in the same pot... well in my experience the outcome is not always so peaceful. Not saying there isn't real negativity on forums as well and I certainly had my fair share of bashing when I came, still it's also a question of respecting other people and not bringing them down by playing games that are maybe better suited to high schools (if even there - luckily none of that in mine). So sure I was a bit flattered at first to be ON A LIST FOR ONCE and tried to take it as a fun thing but on second thought I didn't think it was fair and it can actually do serious damage.
Seems we have two options here; either we're talking collective needs as in cosmic events and stuff (AGAIN! yeah yeah yeah) or we're talking stuff that liakos here was actually bored with i.e. "dating and talking" adding of course potential actions that can ensue from the first of these options...
Or it could be that this needs some clarification?
And it's true that I didn't perceive it exactly as criticism of the way things are however it's also true that each and everyone has in their power if not to speed things up then at least add some "hot topics" or whatever the word was that was being used...
Of course, Linux was excellent since it was invented by a Finn. But got corrupt like everything else in this world. I'm waiting for Skype to go corrupt too. I don't know about MSN and Yahoo because MSN live messenger was super cumbersome and disturbing, don't know if that has changed any but am not willing to try. Yahoo IM is easy to use but I didn't even know you could talk using it. To me Skype is a well designed program and I'm happy with it - of course less trouble with the quality of the calls would be desired but seems they are trying hard to make it more userfriendly. Just hope it won't go corrupt and start costing money.
I honestly don't know how to take this. Artists and writers more often than not get their inspiration from real life. I do anyway. Why else would I want to get away from this kind of meaningless life style?
Ok please ditch any prejudices... all my boyfriends held my hand even as we were middle aged. It's a bonding gesture, wonderful. Here's a moral story (well maybe not moral but anyway...): A lady asks her husband since 30 years why he never tells her she loves her. He says, "what, I told you I love you when I married you! And I can assure you that if that ever changes you'll be the first to know!"
Right... I think it's hard for most to conceive but when you're a minority of a minority in a country that's a minority... well on and on it goes. We are five million and only 4 % speak my mother tongue! And I'm not willing to date in the language the rest of the 96% speak... and yes it's a BIG country with thousands of lakes and miles upon miles of firtrees... I take my cats when I go out for walks, they always know the way home
"Excpect" is actually a dirty word, didn't you know that? I was just cruising around trying to find some good dating sites, might as well add another as I already had a few. Sure there is always hope, especially for me who rarely gets to meet people IRL. Being stuck here in the vast and dark Finnish forest... just a few ape-like creatures around... And some retired folks 20 years my senior. The only appealing male I've seen is my shrink (don't worry it's just 1-2 times a month because of the forest and the long winter and ok well some recovering also from rejections and stuff) but he's married, hahahahhahahahha.
So I'm not sure where I'd be without the internet to be quite frank. It's kept me alive for four years, and in fact some virtual friends have been made along the way and it doesn't feel totally fake at all. Nah, sometimes you just "know".
I came here and was blown away by all the traffic and activity. So it's been quite the social experiment for me. Trying to figure out how to navigate among such a variety of people and how to deal with all those cute guys who come and say nice things about me (gee I guess it pays off to have become middle aged!). When at times I've come across threads where people have really shared deeper experiences it has certainly felt worthwhile. And when the jokes are good and inspiring that's very stimulating as well.
Hehe, I suppose you read what the dinosaur meant... In Iceland I started photographing in earnest after a long break, they are analogue. Hope to go there again and have more time as I was dependent on a driver who was willing to pull off for the shots. Great basis for arguments when we broke off. Yes those blasted dots sometimes appear too soon though I try to avoid it. Thanks for correcting and thanks for enjoying the collages! Since that's what I do mostly that's what matters to me the most.
Argh, well it's your life... What can I say? If we were all steered by what we "can" do in life I think we'd have worse chaos than we already do! On the other hand "can" can be turned around to become positive change... oh well.
Yes well Italy would certainly be interesting to know better, do you like it there? I also think why not experience the diversity this world offers, have to admit that as I'm getting older I'm getting more comfortable just like everyone else... However after a really tedious winter I feel change in the air... I don't know if you can post pix here but you can go to this site (and note that there are a lot more sets than what you see on the first page), I published this earlier somewhere else but here we go:
Yes well I honestly think that in time mankind will get it right and start co-operating for real and not along the old ways that obviously don't work anymore... I see this as a very confusing time of transition but order always comes out of chaos in the end! Right?
You have doubts about my intentions??? And you're an Englishman who is supposed to understand irony! LOL of course I was only kidding, maybe my intense energy gets a hold of me at times and I get carried away... Naaah, I'm not a feminist by any standards actually!!! Sure we all complain about gender but it makes for good jokes it seems... Well I think so anyway!
RE: Why...
Thanks...
