Oh I hope you had a glass and swirled it around in front of her and took a sip slowly and said 'Mmmmmm....this is just lovely'.... or did you abstain from it in solidarity with the rolling stone?
Sure the poor guy would have stood a better chance if he had just been himself, what made him think he had more of a chance pretending to be a lesbian?
I don't think it'll be too late if you don't have any by the time you're 40. The reason you and your dad were so different was maybe because he was raised in a different culture from you, a different Ireland. My dad was 40 when I was born and was very different from me, not because of the age gap itself but because he was raised in a different type of society. That wouldn't happen so much any more as Ireland has changed for everyone.
At 17 or 18 they are young adults and in school by choice, I'd agree with that but from 12 to 16 they are just kids and need strong discipline. Corporal punishment should never have been totally got rid of, it should be kept for serious cases, JMO.
In theory yeah, but just thinking back to my own school days I don't think a bit of fear did me any harm, but then too much fear can stop you learning and you certainly don't want that.
Some kids are just bad kids though (not your son) and will do bad things unless they are afraid of punishment.JMO
