Fair enough, you're not anti-British, I accept that
To be democratic a party has to be committed to the democratic process. SF aren't, they tried violence to get what they wanted for a long time and only stopped when they saw a better way.
They don't really accept that the Dail is the legitimate parliament in Ireland, the only legitimate parliament in their eyes would be a 32 county one. They feel entitled to do anything necessary to bring that about.
Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember when they were killing people left, right and center, something that I'm sure they forgot to mention in the SF office.
Sorry if I'm mistaken but I thought that you had mentioned what the Brits did to us before? If I've got that wrong I apologise. As for not being democratic, if you think they are then nothing I say would change your mind.
So I'm the bigot? Pearse Doherty takes his orders from the army council of the IRA, he and his friends don't even regard the Dail as legitimate, they are there as a tactic only. These are dangerous people, we should be very wary of them.
The Sindo is a great paper, it has some of the best journalists in the country writing for it, it also has some tabloid stuff as well, it has something for everyone!
Not sure it's not often laid at the door of government! plenty of people agree with you and they are fair points alright but there's a huge difference between these things and actually shooting or bombing someone.
Ancient history? more like recent history I think as they are still finding bodies of people they killed. Reformed? I guess so, but they should be ashamed of themselves for the things they did.
Beverly calls it a day
I wish! you know what the really sad thing is? She'd probably still have got elected!
