RE: Wonthaggi Home to Billy and Normal again again

My chick flick ended, bloody good film, highly recommended.
That silly pirate spoof film with Johnny Depp is on the box. I hate spoof films with a pashion.

It is funny how a small UK town with a population of onle 60 can have so many murders. The town should be a ghost town now 20 times over.

There's only so many times you can watch them, I get bored watching the same flicks more than once in 3 years.

RE: More tough love budget measures revealed

You get them anywhere you can. You have google and a head, use them.

RE: More tough love budget measures revealed

The top ten best selling items change online constantly, keeping up with them and buying them when you have the opportunity right under your nostrils is the name of the game.

RE: More tough love budget measures revealed

I would have set up a cosher deal with all of the local general stores/milkbars to leave a few buckets of flowers on valentines day in their stores.

Other than Australia it is the Scandinavian countries that were the least affected by the CFG. The reason is simply that they have very high tax and strong welfare system. This means much smaller wealth disparity, which in turn means people have money to buy goods and services. Seems they were better off like Australia was because they had some money in the bank like the co-alition had brovided Rudd with.
If we hadn't had the billions there to spend, we may very well have seen a huge buble bursting around Aus. as middle income earners went into bankrupcy over crippling mortgage and credit card debts.

You don't just have to sell on ebay, there's quicksales and your own website too. I was pulling in $500 week in sales of secondhand stuff so don't think you're throwing it all away by lowering yourself to that sort of level. Considering I did my ebay sales after work, putting a full time effort in could bring a lot more $$ in than what I quoted, but 2nd hand stuff isn't the only stuff that sells online these days.

RE: The cure

I thought the glass bottles was "Close To Me", not "Love Cats"?

It beats twiddling your thumbs beating yourself up. Social things like volunteering can also widen your opportunities to meet people who have owned businesses and passed them onto their kids, these people could recomend you to their kids for when a position comes up. A lot of Lions and Rotary members are ex business owners, some curent so volunteering to help out at the sausage flip could work for someone and talking to the other volunteers might help gleam their wisdom.

RE: The cure

Does that include songs like - Love Cats, Inbetween Days & Boys Don't Cry?

RE: More tough love budget measures revealed

sounds like he's the last person you'd want to employ

RE: Hi everyone, and a question.

someone who gets over lifes downs and hiccups without the highly strung nervous energy atatched to these traumas. A down to earth person can live with these events calmly and handle them in a way that allows others around them to feel relaxed and secure knowing that it isn't the end of the world if you don't get your Mon. morn pedicure

I know in my own area, people wanting to start a small business would be well advised to try out house cleaning for the elderly as Baby boomers have the finances, own their own home and will pay people to clean for them, mow their lawns and whatever else they don't really like to do anymore.
Buy yourself a small $12,000 Getz and clean up with the $5,000 deduction, stop whingeing about people who have got out and done it, try doing it yourself.

mmmmmmmmmmmm, they have IT degrees and they're too slack to set up their own websites to sell online?
Anyone can trade on auction sites and websites, they've just got to have the umph to get off their backsides and do something about it. I started years ago just doing garage sales and market stalls, it means getting up early though and people on the dole don't like the early hours too much.
