If it's not possible for someone to have a healthy relationships with family and/or friends, I'd say it's not easy to build up a healthy relationship with a partner.
Good people are good people and not having people in my life to turn to would take a huge positive part of life away for me.
I agree. As long as it is a choice. For a lot of people it's not a choice.
It's easier to be happy and single if life is good - people that are unhappy on their own tend to look for someone to make their life "better". Time to run.
My preferences on a relationship have changed getting older but not my appreciation for a great guy.
