Your comment does deserve a reply Rusty and should not go unnoticed. I read it last night and I love it! It touched my heart as only a real man could have come up with that non-religious observation... and real men love Jesus!
1Jn 1:1 The Word of life existed from the beginning. We have heard it. We have seen it. We observed and touched it. 1Jn 1:2 This life was revealed to us. We have seen it, and we testify about it. We are reporting to you about this eternal life that was in the presence of the Father and was revealed to us. 1Jn 1:3 This is the life we have seen and heard. We are reporting about it to you also so that you, too, can have a relationship with us. Our relationship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 1Jn 1:4 We are writing this so that we can be completely filled with joy. 1Jn 1:5 This is the message we heard from Christ and are reporting to you: God is light, and there isn't any darkness in him. 1Jn 1:6 If we say, "We have a relationship with God" and yet live in the dark, we're lying. We aren't being truthful. 1Jn 1:7 But if we live in the light in the same way that God is in the light, we have a relationship with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from every sin. 1Jn 1:8 If we say, "We aren't sinful" we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1Jn 1:9 God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we've done wrong. 1Jn 1:10 If we say, "We have never sinned," we turn God into a liar and his Word is not in us.
Jesus only gave us 2 commands. The first one you have stated above. The other is found in John 15:17 "My commandment is this, Love One Another".
He had just finished telling us in chapter 14 that He and the Father are ONE and that they would come and live INSIDE of everyone who would obey His commandment, the Holy Spirit would live inside each believer and teach us.
What an Awesome plan! Jesus living inside of each believer, same unconditional love, same power to heal, deliver and save. All that love living inside of human beings!!! Hey, that gets me excited!!! Love is not love until you Give It Away! The ultimate love relationship between man and woman is one where God is the base, foundation, of both of them, where the two will become ONE and also be ONE IN CHRIST! True, each separately already have the "one love" Jesus, yet together, they are still the "one love" Jesus. Example: Put a drop of water on a plate. Add another drop of water to it. Do you still have a drop of water on a plate? Yes! But it's two drops, you say. I see one drop. Thus, the two have become one. Still, their makeup is the same, H2O, able to do everything a drop of water can do. The same love is a living organism within them, making them One.
Be careful crot, you are setting yourself up for the plan of the elite. They will set up a god who does many miracles, fooling even the elite. He is a false god!
It must be heart felt, a change taking place INSIDE you, or it is not the real thing.
I did pray yesterday that you would have a Damascus road experience, as Saul did and that God would draw you unto himself.
I asked you to address these aspects here, on this thread. You gave vague answers stating you already have. You do not address them and that is exactly where your answer lies. Truth will be found if you search for it where I told you. You omit the very place where the treasure is hidden, WITHIN. You do not really want to know.
I have already offered to you not only what I believe, but what I know to be true. You have refused to examine it by your own experience. Your heart is hard and you think with your mind, not your heart. I have nothing more to say to you on this. My answer is on the previous pages of your thread. You are wasting my time. Though having ears, you do not hear.
She is an M.D. and I am sure she has had a large case-study. Yes, learning how to vent and finding what works for you, by application is a major step in obtaining self-control. It takes self-control and much work to gain maturity.
By the concept of the dog chasing the mailman, you must mean the repetitive behavior which occurs without even stopping to think or take control... thus, you just do it out of uncontrolled habit. It just doesn't get you anywhere, does it... may even get you run over... not a good thing!
Change takes self-discipline and self-control and change can be GOOD!!!!
Anger, an intense sense of displeasure and antagonism, comes from the Latin angere, "to strangle." We get angry at those who've harmed us, aggravated us, or let us down. We get angry at ourselves. At God. Growing up, I was angry about being stuck on Earth; I felt like an alien, just longed to go "home." Sometimes anger becomes a mask for fear or hurt; it also leads to resentments, which I'll discuss later. Anger is human, we all have it. In this program you'll learn to identify it and healthily release it, then keep moving on. Anger is a toxic subtle energy. Seething in your system, it can eat you alive, or else dangerously erupt. Keep in mind: Those painfully polite churchgoing housewives turned ax murderers snapped from repressing anger, not from consciously expressing it. Make changes now to disfuse anger that throws you off by following the 48-hour rule. 1. Quickly identify your source of anger. Impulsive, unconscious anger is the dangerous kind-it can hurt us, others, even break windows. To avoid unhappy repercussions, when anger hits, slow down your reaction. Immediately identify the cause, but don't go on the attack.
2. Give yourself permission to rant for 48 hours max. The worst thing you can do is squash anger: trying to contain this energy bomb will only explode your insides or cause you to passive-aggressively act it out. But now is not the time to confront the offender. For 48 hours, let lose and rail about the object of your anger by yourself, or with a therapist or friend. Doing so begins your healing by diffusing negative energy.
3. After 48 hours, start letting anger go. This means getting out of your ego (even if you're "right") and into self-preservation. Releasing anger is a process, but you can start now. I recommend writing in your journal to vent all the venom. Or keep praying to have it removed. Breather your anger out of the emotional energy center in the solar plexus; make sure it doesn't congeal. Take a few moments periodically to breathe calm in, and expel the toxicity of anger.
4. Express your anger to the offender. First, take a measure of the situation. If the person is nonreceptive, vindictive, or there's no positive gain (say with a tyrant boss), it may not be appropriate to express your anger directly. Instead use the above steps or minimize contact. If you think the person may be receptive, remember the goal is not to eviscerate him or her, but to get your point across and be heard...The offender may want to resolve differences or apologize. If not, don't fuel antagonism or engage in a power struggle. Stay firm and centered in the knowledge that you've expressed your truth. You might say, "I respect your feelings, but we have to agree to disagree. I'm sorry we can't resolve this right now."
From Wiki... Peer review (also known as refereeing) is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (and often narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform impartial review. Impartial review, especially of work in less narrowly defined or inter-disciplinary fields, may be difficult to accomplish; and the significance (good or bad) of an idea may never be widely appreciated among its contemporaries. Although generally considered essential to academic quality, peer review has been criticized as ineffective, slow, and misunderstood.
The compilation of the Bible was subject to peer review. I have read on it and many translations include a preface telling of the process. You leave out the most important expert envolved in this process who was among these peers, the Holy Spirit, who inspired these men to compile the book, gave instruction as to which writings to include. Just because you don't believe in Him, does not make the process inconclusive. They are the experts in this field, not the scientists. Knowing God and His ways, is NOT Logical. It can not be formulated as such.
You are continually basing your argument on the reality of there being a God, upon this book. Forget about the book crotalus. Enter into the invisible realm where the answers of the heart are responded to. A few here have shared this fact, that the reality of God is something that takes place inwardly. You have not addressed your concept on this. You keep returning to argue the book. God is NOT a book!! He is a Spiritual being. You have not addressed the concept of a Spiritual Being in a Spiritual Realm. I would like your opinion on this if you can fathom it.
I am good, as long as I can share uplifting and encouragement in the threads, then my purpose is being fulfilled. I live for it. Thanks for the opportunity sister!
I understand what you are pointing out here Robbie. I commend you and everyone who chooses not to belittle others because of their faith. This shows maturity and a balanced, objective personality. Sometimes we just need to hold our tongue, bow out gracefully and hope that others will gain understanding of this also. I do not believe in participating in religious debate. Religious beliefs are individually perceived. Many who choose to debate it are those who lack understanding. If they understood, they would not debate it.
I agree with you, it is very unattractive. Hey, it allows us to see who we DON'T want to hook up with!
It's okay Robbie Maybe things will calm down. I just want to be able to have the Freedom to encourage and help others without people coming to the thread to inflict more hurt and disrupt my intentions to help those who want to receive it.
You are such a beautiful person and I am glad you are receiving your healing and hope for a bright future!!! I know your words will help many others who are hurting, to gain relief and hope.
Thanks for your encouragement through your experience shared!!!
That is a very good perception Ship. I agree with you. You know something, many people, especially in the U.S. will state that they are a Christian. I grew up believing everyone in the U.S. was a Christian or a Jew. I never knew any unbelievers. I was not even a believer, but I thought I was a Christian, cos that's just the way it was.
There is a difference however, in being a true Christian... We Follow His Lead!!!!! You hit the nail on the head babe!
I admire Jesus giving me the opportunity to Follow His Lead!
RE: Signs and Wonders in the Heavens?
