It is an excellent portrayal of Big Oil/Big Business working with the government and destroying the people and environment.
At the end of the movie, "Forest", (Steven Segal) gives a speach against Big Oil/Big Business and the harmful effects it has made on our lands and people. He suggests ways to overcome our dependance on oil.
What did you think of this movie and its message?
Did it open your eyes to what is really happening?
Saturday, I was cleaning the store and I found a fortune on the floor, which someone had lost. I picked it up and kept it... I believe it was for me...
It says...
"There is prospect of a thrilling time ahead for you".
I am not saying that people with wealth are bad!!!!! Not at all!!!!
My next door neighbor is a multi-millionaire and he is a Wonderful person!!! But he has a great heart to go with it!!
I am simply responding to ooby's thread. As if our net-worth makes us who we are, tells us how valuable we are. It is not so!
I have been rich and I have been poor. I find my value, not in my riches, but in the quality of the LOVE I give to others. This is my plumbline, of how I determine the value of others.
To me, ALL are valuable, even the lowest of the lowly.
For what is a man's worth if his heart is evil????
That's what I am thinking too! If he's the kind of guy I think he is, it really doesn't matter.
Just having a relationship at my age with an awesome looking dude who would take interest in me, should be enough.
I am very open-minded and mature in my thinking. I think I will ride with this one.
It seems he has been keeping up with me for some time now. He watched me while I was doing the remodeling. He seems to know all about me! I've been stalked!!!
Aparantly, he has been giving me much thought before making his move!
A man's worth is far greater than silver, gold, stocks or bonds. A man's heart makes him rich. His goodness is far greater than all the world has to offer. If he is full of LOVE, he is more valuable than rubies or the finest treasure!!!
Sorry ooby, your valued plumbline is of no value here.
Actually, the Mexicans won the battle of the Alamo, under the leadership of Santa Anna. It was afterwards that Sam Houston defeated him and the Mexican army in the battle of San Jacinto. Santa Anna was captured and forced to order his troops out of Texas, ending Mexican control of the area, which subsequently became the Republic of Texas.
Well actually, they were here first, (the mexicans). Davy Crocket and the battle of the Alamo, sent them to Mexico. Maybe they just want to return to their homeland?????
Have you ever been to Salinas, Ca.? Or Chula Vista? Or any of the other produce producing towns in Ca. or Arizona, Nogales? The mexican migrant workers who work the fields would never be replaced by white Americans!
RE: Today's thought..............
It's like taking a daily detox tea...Sweet and cleansing to the soul!!!
Love you Pat!!!!!!
