Thanks CC, Debs, 2incups for your advice and all the other contributors to the thread.
It seems it may have been a wee storm in a teacup I created and I apologise if I alarmed people....
Yes, it is a public domain, although it has made me aware of my taking more precautions with my own internet security and possibly upgrading my anti-virus software just to be certain I do not have a virus on my laptop.
I don't have a problem with my pic being on the internet and certainly not the other related images I saw on my old webpage as I did visit those picture threads and click on them in the forums. I think, though, we should have some control over what sits up next to our pics and are able to delete any offensive material that should happen to "land" there, particularly when we have never visited the site in question.
I have basic computer literacy, and, yet don't have a full understanding of the internet and how it operates, as a whole. I agree, if we put pics, videos up on this site then we enter into unchartered water and immediately become public property.
I am still going to get an IT geek(geeks can be cute lol) to have a look at it for me and advise. Knowledge is power!
I've never encountered this issue on other online dating sites. Perhaps because they have tighter security measures of their own?
Am certainly going to educate myself a bit more on internet security.
Obviously, people trying to wind me up...but, what gets me....is, why?
For the sport of it? For retaliation purposes for something that was either said by myself to that person? or perhaps I had blocked their country? or rejected their advances?
RE: What is attractive? Do you have a checklist that must be met?
Are you doing some part-time work there Pete?
