That's the song I thought of when I saw this thread. Can there truly be a grittier declaration of bitterness than this? Also thought of Dido's "Don't Think of Me."
Wow. I miss on every one of those things! Seriously. Well, I probably comb my hair and shower *most* days, but I'm often unshaven, and I usually wear my clothes (at home) for a few days at a time... Am I that unusual for men? (I can see starting a thread on this subject alone!) <watching all my female prospects creep stealthily away>
Yes, Lovely Riya, that was a bit cryptic, wasn't it. I meant it quite literally. I think about whether or not I'm presenting a mask all the time, always trying to avoid that, because it's self-destructive and also doesn't match my eyes (unlike yours)
That and 10 dollars would buy you half a cup of coffee and Starbucks.
But thanks, Eupho. I realize you haven't been exactly "frantically scrambling" in my direction - mentally or otherwise - but I think I've heard a soft scrabbling coming from you...or maybe a very slow creeping...and to be honest, I find it a tad sinister..
I think you make a good point, Babsie. The distance thing is a killer here. I have strong feelings for a CS lady, but she lives in a different country. I also see other possible "mates" here -- have considerable affection for a number of women here -- but distance once again rears its hideous head.
Without that consideration, I would be highly puzzled by why decent, good-looking guys like Detente and Zel. aren't being showered with offers. And Robert could doubtless charm the snake off a female rattler and sell it back to her for twice the price -- and he's handsome, to boot -- so that is doubly puzzling.
Ah, but such mysteries make life interesting, right?
Damn, that's disappointing, Euphoria. And here I thought all the women here were frantically scrambling (if perhaps only mentally) over the lovely, sensitive bloke that is me.
I know exactly what you mean, Spicey, but still if only all women weren't so demanding, needing, controlling, and punching-baglike, life sure would be easier for us guys, don't you think?
I'm sorry, Pearl. For a moment I was being very neglectful of my paternal duties and perceptions. In that case, may I respectfully request a photo of my daughter in her birthday suit for my family album? You know, the kind of picture that's really embarrassing, but everyone gets a kick out of (in a completely familial way, of course).
I like your intellect too, Luscious. I can't help imagining, in a purely Platonic way, how you would look standing in the snow sans civilized garments. The contrast appeals to my cool Scandinavian intellect.
You're barely a baby girl, too, Blue Eyed. Sheesh, enjoy your youth while you can, girl. I assume, considering your age, that you feel really young. You certainly look it.
Now wait just a consarned minute there, Blue Eyed. I just checked out one of those gross photos, and I'm not wearing any pants at all, so how can there be a zipper problem...
