Meeting nice people and having fun might be a pretty good step toward meeting Ms/Mr. Right, I'm thinking. You can learn a lot about people by watching and talking to them on the forums.
Speaking as someone who came here gloomily determined to find his soulmate asap....
Thanks for ratifying my sisterhood, Blue Eyed. But we need to retain our lady-like manners here. First Euphoria peed on a cop in another thread, and now you're letting loose because of my hair.
That guy with pirate hat created some monsters here, didn't he?
I'm partial to cow patty facials myself. It's all the rage out here.
Perfume? I must admit I'm kinda picky about my scent, especially during hunting season. I like a dash of Buck in Rut (available at Jim-Bob's Outdoor Emporium in downtown Badger), mixed with a light sprinkling of Odeur de Roadkill.
Okay, I admit these perfumes are expensive, but I'm worth it. Right?
I think fairy tales probably don't work terribly well in real life, if they're taken literally. But I believe they contain a large grain of truth about how romance works. I'm not sure I want to attempt to define that "grain" at the moment.
The main challenge, I think, is to separate the fairy tale elements that aren't realistically achievable (for example, the person who perfectly fits you in all ways or has ever conceivable desirable characteristic) from those that are (someone who has many good qualities and is fairly compatible).
There is also the question, which in my observation is relevant for many here, about whether what we're looking for is a romantic relationship, as opposed to pretending that's what we want; that is, making the quest -- the fantasy odyssey -- for such a relationship, and not the relationship itself, our main goal.
I don't know, Arabella, but I have this sudden hankering to take up tupperware collecting or something...
Seriously, music -- specifically, writing songs -- is probably my number one hobby (hence the organ prominently featured in many of my profile photos).
I'm trying to write a song as we speak combining chickens and Tupperware, but that could take awhile, Arabella. I'll be sure to send you the CD when I finish!
Well, I would, Mindful, but the problem is I haven't been around long enough to know the history of some people. Has your mystery person been active in the last month or so?
I'm with Blue Eyed...though in an analogous way, of course. You and Eupho have already inspired me enough with the hats, so... First order: full head of beautiful blone hair; Second order: Big, blue, glaring eyes (instead of my small squinty ones); Third, shave a few pounds of my face?
Beautifully guessed, H & K! I wasn't sure anyone would get my hints about spring "chicken," but she is pretty unusual, which makes her easier to describe.
