RE: The lack of mature adults, both male and female as opposed to being adult in western society & why.

Women are less affected thanks to motherhood and their nature of safe averageness. Their stronger relation with children prevents their complete severance from reality but the same cannot be said for some of the older men who more often find themselves at both extremes - all work and no play and all play and no work. Women, by comparison, are moderate and mature. Their personal world insulates them from the habits of economic society, but when the external world goes mad men go right after it.

RE: The lack of mature adults, both male and female as opposed to being adult in western society & why.

We should all sympathise with Brexit and Trump. Who can deny the appeal of a less complicated, engineered and sophisticated society? A society where the amateur gets the chance and success isn't a product of concentration, passing exams or behaving in a professional manner but of pig-headed determination in face of the facts.

RE: The lack of mature adults, both male and female as opposed to being adult in western society & why.

There's the active and stressed half of society developed from today's complexity, and then there's a frolicing and shameless side developed from the spurious surplus. These people who seem to have no place in the modern world and yet the modern world can produce more than enough to keep them.

RE: The lack of mature adults, both male and female as opposed to being adult in western society & why.

Staying alive requires more intelligence, skill and ability to live with stress than ever before. People were rounded adults before they were specialised and placed into compartments to optimise capitalist efficiency. A frenzied and highly-educated people without patience or depth in character. And then there's the left behinds and dropouts, oh so many dropouts.

RE: Does the conscious mind live on after death?

We don't know. What interests me are the religious and the difference between believers. Where some are humbled before the lord god-fearing the other believers are modern and self-promoting, religion in the latter case being simply a way of telling your ego it's more significant than it is to then justify doing whatever you want(even if that means doing nothing with your life).

RE: Education

And beauty is good for teamwork you flatter people with your presence. Good looking is the one thing which can ingratiate you with almost anybody at all, if you're immune to its charms then appreciate it's role as an all-purpose social lubricant. Don't envy it and try to censor it from existence; beauty is in the eye of beholder will only lead to a clannish and self-destructive life.

RE: Education

I wonder if in the same way American civil war was the necessary ingredient for the American progressive era. The teamwork that comes from having to fight for your own survival in war is the conservative ingredient which belies all social progress. We the people develops out of those who die as cattle, and it dies amongst snowflakes.

RE: Education

National service, too. I do believe the liberal "egalitarians" threw away the necessary conservative ingredients for an egalitarian society. Tearing down the church and national service isolated people and made them less equal and communal. All this talk of diversity today is sheer nonsense, the most diverse generation in western history were the ones who fought the world wars.

RE: Education

My theory is mass conscription gives everyone the common touch and that's why politics worked up until the 1970s and then began to fail as generations which did not mingle outside of their own social class came into power.

RE: Education

High school and two apprenticeships.

If I'd gone to university this would have been to do history and politics which, unlike engineering or medicine, is very capably self-taught. It's more like social science, if you can "get" people then you can "get" politics(if you're interested in politics)and the greatest social science, politics and eocnomics lesson is a cross-class childhood mingling with people from all walks of life.

RE: Which country produces the best tv programmes?

Japan has a wonderful imagination, I don't know how they come up with those cartoons from the influence of drugs. They're like the 1960s without the squalor.

RE: Which country produces the best tv programmes?

Passionate and casually violent romance? South America.

RE: Which country produces the best tv programmes?

It depends what you're after. The best of the British is quirky and comical, Europe has sophistication and America is the blitz on the senses.

RE: Does your pasion dictate that you must be right or can you agree to disagree?

I'm objectively correct in all things so much so that I've decided to call my lifeview objectivism. That's how severe my aspergers is, a syndrome amplified online where you don't even need to look anybody in the eye.

But to be more honest I am aware that what I say doesn't always mesh with everything else I say. Not worrying what other people think is not necessarily the same thing as lacking self-awareness. Brainstorming is my concept online.

RE: Did your ex ever start arguments for no apparent reason?

In the beforetimes there was no other way of expressing yourself without art and invention and I often wonder if subtlety and reading between the lines are expiring because there's no(immediate)punishment for not using them. Under liberalism nobody turns up dead due to a lack of being streetwise or poetically gifted. I have a theory that boorish conservative oaths proliferate under wet-liberalism where sophistication, nuance and wit develop in a stiflingly repressive society.
