I don't get it mate, none of my business I suppose, but I believe you said earlier you were alone the last 5 Christmasses. Was that of choice or were you miserable and lonely? If the latter, you must be doing something wrong. CEO. great income, reasonable looking, I would have thought, no prob. Are you incredibly picky perhaps. Or so unbearable the ladies take a hike when they meet you, or what? I was alone this Xmas but was invited to visit friends but didn't want to pass the police checkpoint late at night after having had a few drinks, so I stayed home. Wasn't the least bit lonesome or miserable. Another thing, I'm not a woman, or gay, but I think you could work on your profile and pics!!!!
Yeah my little income is even littler this month. Shame on those fat cats and all those credit card debt idiots, banks, politicians, and the gullible public who were told they could flash the plastic almost indefinitely cos the equity in their property just growd and growd...... until the day of reckoning came, and we are all paying the price, even yours truly who exhibits those admirable precepts like prudence and conservatism in spending. Wait a minute didn't Gordon Brown that "son of the manse" use to preach those very virtues? What went wrong Gordon? Fortunately for yrs truly I don't have a mortgage and my house is paid for and so's my car so I'm not affected too much!
And yes the sun's shining, the snow's melting and it's a cold bright day!!!
I agree with sommer that that's a hard question to answer. Nowadays most people are hustling to make a living and can be short-tempered. It also depends on who you are and who they perceive you to be. People in the big cities especially the ones with a lot of crime are naturally more suspicious by nature than your country folks.
Maybe you were lucky mate, those cliffs can be treacherous. Many a stork has crash-landed and its precious cargo ditched into the sea or the rocks just along from the customs area!!!!
Well it is sad to see an institution go, but retailing is a tough business and there's no raison d'etre for businesses that become boring. M&S is another example.
Sorrrreeee gangel, I should have said, here in the area of BG where I live... I've been told this is the most backward region in the country, and was so even under the Communists.
I'm on my own unless I get in the car and visit some friends about an hour's drive away, and I haven't decided yet. I had no internet the past couple of days but now it's working again, so have been reading lots of mail. To all the nice people who sent me good wishes, I want to say thanks. I really appreciate your good wishes and wish everyone a
Hi, here in BG, power and water outages are very frequent. You quickly get used to them. For instance I have about 6 bottles of drinking water which I always keep handy for those occasions. A diesel generator is on my list too as well as a lamp that runs off LPG. What I'm saying is, it's a shock the first time but then it becomes routine.
Hardware failures are really rare. Possibly the most common, along with ventilation fans and the power supply unit that steps the voltage down to the low voltages your PC uses, is the hard drive itself, but then your entire operating system would be gone. So I'm guessing they maybe added more memory and there are sometimes compatibility issues with different brands/types being used together and this would certainly cause symptoms such as you describe. So you could take Gussi's advice and get them to take another look at it.
is also good if you don't have any anti-virus software installed. It's free but if you have a slow internet connection or your PC is infested with viruses and/or spyware/malware, it can take hours to complete. You can leave it running all night though.
you have some virus(es) or malware on your computer.
Do you have anti-virus software protecting your PC? Is your OS Windows? You could try googling for Hijack This, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, and running them on your computer. This is time-consuming and you have to follow the instructions on the different websites exactly. If you have no antivirus software running, you should rectify this asap and make sure you have the Windows updates installed. You can also google for trendmicro housecall, which will scan your computer from the internet (can take hours).
RE: who is likely to spend Xmas on his/her own ? (politically incorrect, sorry)
