Yeah wilderness is a good word to describe it here! It's a bit like Spain 25 years ago but lusher vegetation so the burning sun isn't so oppressive. No cactus but jungle.

Ctrl A is shorthand for All (highlight all)
Ctrl C is shorthand for Copy
Ctrl V is shorthand for paste (next key to C, so you can do it while looking at the screen, with some practice).
Ctrl Z is shorthand for Undo (near C on a Qwerty keyboard). Also Ctrl X has a similar function to Ctrl. C and is also located in the same corner. This is all designed to make things easier for you, not more difficult. If you're using a German keyboard it will say Steuerung (Strg) on the Ctrl key.
Just click on Quote in the normal way, to reply to a posting and at the same time display the post you're quoting. Then hit Ctrl and A at the same time and this highlights the entire text. Then hit Ctrl and C at the same time and this copies all the highlighted text to the so-called clipboard. Then hit Ctrl and End at the same time to ensure the cursor is at the end of all the text. Then hit the carriage return or enter key, to take the cursor to a fresh line. Then hit Ctrl and V at the same time and this will paste the contents of the clipboard to where the cursor is, giving you the post you're quoting twice! Then cut out the part of the text you are discarding in the first version and ditto for the 2nd version. The quickest way to delete some text is to drag the cursor over the text to highlight it (blue) then hit the delete button. If you make a mistake you can hit Ctrl and Z at the same time to reverse the action you have just taken. Hope this helps.
