RE: Americans are viewed around the world as

Hmmmmm, and that is supposed to comfort the ones here whom were told that they had to train their replacements, both here in USA and GO to your Country to finish taining their replacements OR they would not recieve their Severance package from the Company?

Outsourcing, was and is a good idea ON PAPER it needs much refinement though, to work in distributing the work aound. It did not distribute the work around it took it from one place in the world and moved almost all of it to another part of the world.

THAT is NOT what we were told would happen when The GOV't passed NAFT. But it is the biggest thing that HURT us over here b/c the world was not ready for it.

NO WAY did outsourcing help us.

And There are many of us with very DEEP values, Thank-you very much! Shame on you for making a lump judgement.

RE: Americans are viewed around the world as

True, You are Correct, Jesse.

However, we'd better find some leaders that ARE, (Middle Earth like minded) or we could, quite possibly, find ourselves being the next "Hiroshima" only much, much, Much worse worse.

And I do believe, if we ever get another "Dubbya", being the recipient of a, (or several), Nuclear Warhead(s) IS a very real possibility.

How much worse? Possibly, as that Site, in the Indus Valley is.

The threats we face are no joke. That being said, we do need to be working harder at making friends and keeping our enemies close esp in communication and understanding as well as Tolerance, WE HAVE to face that as a Nation, we HAVE been too self-centered in dealing with the rest of the world. We also need to lose the paranoia.

I think part of this is to, with respect, begin backing out of giving help and begin reccommending other countries, that may be much more suited, to giving the help we are not any longer able to give.

We desperately need to take care of our own people, here, or we will become a 3rd world country in a very few decades or with in the next Century, at the very least.

We need to start requiring our own citizens to learn more languages starting in preschools; Have respect and sensitivity for other Peoples and Cultures; Make our Education System, once again, be the Best the world has to offer.

And so much more. . . Too much that could be mentioned here . . .

JMHO

RE: is there a bigger liar on American tv

Erm, with all due respect, Um, many of your posts have come across to me as, um, USA Bashing and, therefore, in the manner, in which you do so, I have felt as though you have called ME, personally names just by reading how you word things.

I'm sorry, Ukraine Gary but I do have to agree with Petal, here. Maybe you don't realize you are calling us and others names but you are.

RE: Why dont americans travel as much?

All This is True.

It can seem like the USA is not just a Country but a Continent,(and it is), and each State with their own Laws, except Federal ones, can seem like individual Countries.

There is much to see here and many of us never ge the chance to travel too far out of our own back yards let alone the world.

Another barrier in place, now, for many in USA, is that ALL USA Citizens now must have a Passport to return to USA, even from Canada.

I believe this was passed in August.

Well the cost of a Passport is $90.00 and up which makes it a luxury for many of us and not high on the list of priorities.

RE: What would be the maximum acceptable age gap (younger or older) for you?

My Parents were 18.5 yrs apart, (Father Elder). My Best Friend's Parents were 22.5 yrs apart, (Mother Elder). Both had the Strongest Marriages I ever saw.

I also generally prefer Guys younger than myself, as I have alwys gotten along better with and had much more in common with Younger guys.

The few Guys, I knew older than me, we had nothing but conflicting views on everything.

Therefore, my Preference is a rather unbalanced Range to the Younger Guys vs Older Guys.

I would not have a problem with 22.5 yrs difference, (younger). I absolutly will NOT go more than 2-5 yrs older than myself, IF, at all.

Sorry Guys, just the way it is. My few experiences have taught me this. That is why I have the prefferences I do.

It would be a very rare, Older Guy, that would be able to change my mind on this. He would have to be like I am, and not have found much in commmon with people His age or older.

RE: Sick puppy..... literally

I agree with all you have said except the H2O. H2O will not help with the Dehydration and electrolyte balenace in the Body lost due to fever. My Vet told me use Unflavored Pedialyte, (Found in Grocery Store in the Infant Aisle.

I have just saved a tiny cat starved and on the verge of Death this last month.

She is now a very healthy playful Kitten in full recovery.

When she was placed in my arms she had no muscles and looked like a Possum, due to being only skin and bones. It took a Month, to turn her around.

But the Vet said If I had not pushed the Pedialyte, she would have died. We di not think she would survive the night and has just now made a Month as of the 4th.

I had a Dog tossed out before, which had no ability to hold anything down, and the Vet did not have a good prognosis for her.

I put her on Pedialyte in place of water and for every two to three hours, by itself and mixed in food.

She recovered and lived to be almost 21 yurs old.

RE: Americans are viewed around the world as

Agreed with you on this Taino, But right now, we do not have the resources we had in the past. So now others that do, need to step up to the plate and take their turn helping and endure the flack for doing so.

As for the last sentence, You are 100% correct. I believe the majority of my fellow Americans do this. I know I do. How wever, We seem to have the unfortunate ability to pick leaders that do not share this view.

RE: Sick puppy..... literally

Your Vet will and should be the one you are talking to. S/He will know the treatment necessary. Not us.

However, in the case of advice, since electrolytes are effected, I would give pedialyte in place of water. My Vet told me to always have some on hand for dehydration due to vomiting or Diarrhea. It HAS saved livers of some animals I know.

The rest, get BACK with your Vet.
