Well certainly no-one on here that's for sure. So far all I have seen is a bunch of backstabbers. Whatever happened to the ability to converse without insult.
As for trust ,I usually rely on my instincts. If anyone within my circle reneges on me then they will be isolated.
If you have no trust ,you have no relationship with said person .j.m.o.
The act of being charitable is humanness and being of a generous spirit and kind towards others. and as I said it isn't all about money. We can all be "charitable" with small acts of kindness.
Many in the UK are of the same opinion as you Happy, our own people should come first and never more so than at this precise moment in time.
Diamonds are made from the very stuff of Life itself and represent the most stable form of Carbon known.
Traditionally, Diamond Crystals have been associated with courage, honour, and purity, and in ancient times they were used to counteract poison. Despite being the colour of ice and therefore associated with Winter, Diamonds are often called the Crystals of Light. They enhance our inner vision, stimulating our creative energies, imagination, and ingenuity, opening our minds to new things that may even seem impossible. Diamond Crystals also enhance our psychic abilities and are commonly used for remote viewing, telepathy, and clairvoyance.
Also called the Stone of Invincibility, Diamond is known for its ability to bring victory, strength, courage, and fortitude to its bearer.
Call it what you will, this is my approach to whatever life throws at me .I didn't ask to be in lockdown but I have to deal with it . I probably might have to live through a war ,who knows.
It's not what live throws at you it's how you personally deal with it. My life,my rules.
I'm beginning to think people are right about your "given age" and your actual age. I seem to recall in one post you stated you were having a Covid jab in January. How come when it's over 80's down and my friend's Mum in Devon has only just had hers in Paignton and she's 88.
1.When does older age begin? In the UK, 65 years of age has traditionally been taken as the marker for the start of older age, most likely because it was the official retirement age for men and the age at which they could draw their State Pension.
In terms of working patterns, age 65 years as the start of older age is out of date. There is no longer an official retirement age, State Pension age is rising, and increasing numbers of people work past the age of 65 years.
People are also living longer, healthier lives. In 2018, a man aged 65 could expect to live for another 18.6 years, while a woman could expect to live for 21 more years. So, on average, at age 65 years, women still have a quarter of their lives left to live and men just over one fifth.
An important further consideration is that age 65 years is not directly comparable over time; someone aged 65 years today has different characteristics, particularly in terms of their health and life expectancy, than someone the same age a century ago.
In a number of respects, it could be argued that the start of older age has shifted, but how might this be determined? Should we just move the threshold on a few years – is age 70 really the new age 65? Or, might there be a better way of determining the start of older age?
I was in an Italian restaurant some years ago with my then partner and his children. I ordered a lasagne and on eating it found particles of plastic in the meal. I reported it [in a quiet manner ] the meal was replaced and the whole meal for all of us was cost free compliments of the management.
My one complaint about restaurant food on occasions is that it's not hot enough, and I loathe buffet restaurants a real pet hate with me.
Some pronunciations have nothing to do with the language and more to do with which part of the country you are from. As an English person I have difficulty in understanding how some people from the North talk. It's called dialect.
English is a West Germanic language that originated from Anglo-Frisian dialects brought to Britain in the mid 5th to 7th centuries AD by Anglo-Saxon migrants from what is now northwest Germany, southern Denmark and the Netherlands. The Anglo-Saxons settled in the British Isles from the mid-5th century and came to dominate the bulk of southern Great Britain.
I am always just thinking about someone { not always the same person } and the phone rings and it's them. I had a dream the other night about winning some money on a scratch card so I thought why not tempt fate and I buy one ,and wow I actually did win Not enough to retire on but a good shot in the arm that's for sure.
