Sounds to me as if your "pal" has psychological issues that need addressing if it's a continued onslaught and maybe she needs some form of counselling.
No-one needs to tolerate such behaviour, especially a friend ,so be honest with her and tell her that she needs to sort her own issues out and not "transfer" them to others.
It did remind me of someone from here actually, but no he does not meet with my approval. I posted it in retaliation of your comments on women in shorts, but of course you know that already .
