I think we should make a difference between refugee and immigrant... Refugees have no choice and immigrants make a choice for a better life... And probably most of us are coming from families of immigrants... It isn't anything new... But displacing people isn't always the best solution for them... War refugees should stay as close as possible to their country and have the chance to rebuild it afterwards... It might not seem fair to some but it is the right thing to do... This is what our grandparents did...
I don't think we should compare Eastern and Western and Southern or Northern women... We all have some unique sides and this is what makes the world so colourful and rich... To each their own...
I absolutely agree with you! This should be the first and most important job for any government... But nowadays it has been labeled as nationalism... dictatorship or whatever other BS one can come up with... I blame the globalisation ...it made us realise how important is to keep your core as strong as possible... As nobody will care for you as much as your own people...
I am looking at this case as a former investigative TV journalist and someone who has been to Iran and worked in the Middle East for long enough, Tiger... She is Iranian and this is the BIG difference here...
I won't be surprised if some remain here for longer if not forever... They will have a ready made community and possibilities for jobs... And to be honest much better option than illegal immigrants... Ukrainians won't have much problems with language barrier...and I am sure they will feel more or less like at home...
And one more thing... If there was no prove of her guild, why UK did pay the millions? In exchange of what? Innocent people fight their innocence in court...international court in her case... Is she going to do that?
I already mention her work with BBC and Reuters, Tiger...in the beginning of this thread... Teaching working journalists journalism through Western "charity"... Only she knows what she did or didn't... But nobody will be arrested out of nowhere just because... Iranian prison is Iran, whichever way you want to look at it... Why would she demand UK to free her and not Iran? Journalism and charities from powerful, financially wealthy and politically involved corporations don't go well together, not in The Middle East... She should have known that better...
I am, Fantaziya, 20 Euros per day, every day, for a month is 600 Euros... It may not be much for some but the minimum salary here is about 350 Euros...

But using her British citizenship to "enlighten" Iranian journalist and bloggers... Her arrogance towards the British government is disturbing...demanding being freed from her own country while there as an Iranian citizen... Do you understand me now?
You know Pete, my mother's pension is 150 Euros a month for 40 years of working and paying taxes... If she was to live alone she'd be dead in few months, especially if she didn't have own property... Gypsies are paid enormous amount of money for being Gypsies... Disabilities, illnesses, ten kids, social blah, blah... And now our government is giving every Ukrainian 600 Euro a month cash...plus accommodation, health care, schooling... I don't mind that at all but think of your own people first...

I know some Western women who are amazing on any level... When it comes to what you put into a relationship nationality doesn't really matter indeed... But what I mean was having similarities as being a bit more emotional, passionate or more cold and calculative... You know, South and North ...one is naturally warm , the other one needs few drinks to loosen up a bit...to say the least... Same with West and East, far East and so on...
There was a guy who used to mail me on here years ago, every time he would send a joke too... I was literally terrified that someone who is intelligent would find these "jokes" funny at all... There were dead kittens and kids in one of them and the rest didn't "disappoint" as well...
I believe that people should have common characteristics to start with... Being a good person with a sense of humour may mean a totally different thing where you come from... One of your kind is always the better option as you will always feel a bit off with the other even if it's down only to food and humour preferences... We can not speak in general after dating a couple of people of a certain nation but we well know that hot and cold will clash sooner than not at all... One can have as many demands as they wish but the truth comes put when you have to show what you have to offer in return... Not everyone who demands intelligence is intelligent and that applies to many other demands too...
Former foreign secretary...not a present one... He didn't do anything for her, why is he talking on the behalf of those who did... And Zaghari should have showed more gratitude , after all she was imprisoned in her own country... Britain owes her nothing... The consequences of her own actions are her own consequences... Aren't they?
And if we are to continue this rubbish game... I'm sure Mercedes can track down every verbal vomit she has thrown at me and others and absolutely unprovoked too. She has chased away from the site some of her best online pals too... And if she felt offended by my post it's none of my business. I'm not here to like or dislike... She can be whoever she wants to be if that's what she's here for. But there's something called manners, intelligence and positive attitude, and I'm quite certain she doesn't posses any of those...
Oh, come on, John... Enough with the good old days... As a matter of fact, the really good, old days was over ten years ago... There are plenty of threads where you don't need much brain to take part in... Politics are part of everyone's life, we do share experience and different points of view on or offline...
