RE: What do you want for christmas ..... REALLY ????

Friendship is a vital part of a good relationship but we become friends with people whose judgment we trust and whose views we agree with. I do agree that time is important too as we get to know people better with time. handshake

RE: What do you want for christmas ..... REALLY ????

I have to agree. An intelligent, interesting man can hold me in thrall for hours as well smitten

RE: What do you want for christmas ..... REALLY ????

There are a lot of different types of intelligence and being a rocket scientist is only one of them. I have met a few from here both with doctorates and without any academic accomplishments at all who were equally able to hold their own in a conversation with anyone, while remaining witty, kind and fun. I would prefer a man who is more intelligent than me but who isn't snobbish about it. The final test is always the chemistry though, intelligent or not.

RE: Whats on your mind part 16 or whatever it is now....Ive given up counting.

I think you need to be living in a haunted house for it to work, WS. Or maybe you need to be dead....I'm not sure dunno

RE: What do you want for christmas ..... REALLY ????

I agree, Tiny. I've made a number of very intelligent male friends on CS. I'm just waiting to meet the right one for me kiss

RE: Abandoned Girlfriends

A chacun son gout dunno

RE: How to solve a dilemma

I can't tell you what to do with the animals you find it hard to cope with but I can tell you that the ones that you could cope with will suffer if your health breaks. As someone who has lived with almost constant pain for the last few years, I know that you have to take care of yourself first before you can take care of anyone else and that is not being selfish. hug

RE: What do you want for christmas ..... REALLY ????

My Christmas letter to Santa would ask for:

1. Good health
2. A permanent job with nice people in an attractive location
3. A lovely, intelligent man.

And some nice surprises in 2014

RE: Abandoned Girlfriends

Their Tempranillo goes down very well and is highly regarded by those who don't judge their wine by the price tag snooty

RE: Abandoned Boyfriends

comfort There, there comfort

RE: Abandoned Boyfriends

Well, you made the abandoned boyfriends seem just like little puppies moping

RE: Abandoned Boyfriends

Are you trying to say that a boyfriend is for life and not just for Christmas?? uh oh

RE: Rise of the ( FREEMALE )

There seems to be twice as many men as women on internet dating sites. Well, at least on this one anyway dunno so the men do seem to be looking for something to do with women but, if those statistics are correct, some single women at least aren't that bothered.

RE: Are musscally men overrated?

Totally overrated, with me anyway. I'm not attracted to pretty boys or even buff men. However, just like men, women have all got different tastes. Some are going to like gym warriors and some aren't.hug

RE: Why can't a woman be a priest?

"I have always relied upon the kindness of strangers" flirty

RE: tinyfangs cs author or hollywood star ?

Although I have noted a distinct lowering of empathy in people on the internet, I have been lucky enough to be increasingly meeting more and more wonderfully empathic and sympathetic people in my personal life. I feel very blessed in that.

RE: Why can't a woman be a priest?

uh oh You're so doooooooomed now. doh You're not even allowed to whisper such things.

My own opinion is that there are some women well capable of doing any man's job but we are all different, both male and female. I know a fair few men who wouldn't dream of tackling hard graft work and a fair few women who would. Personally, I love the idea of being a bin woman and not the driver either. I would definitely consider applying if I knew a position was available.

RE: tinyfangs cs author or hollywood star ?

On the Channel 4 website you can do a quiz that tests your Psychopathic tendencies and gives you a percentage of how psychopathic you are. I think I will have every guy I meet from now on do it and stay away from the ones who score high uh oh

RE: Why can't a woman be a priest?

Maybe a woman could be Pope...again laugh

RE: Interesting Books

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series by Stieg Larsson

RE: The pursuit of happiness.

I don't think you can quantify happiness. It means something different to most people. However, the pursuit of happiness seems to be a natural, inbuilt trait in human beings. We can't help but try to become happy. I believe everyone is doing the best that they can. The books, cds, etc. can only give us suggestions on how to become happy, the rest is up to us. There does seem to be a sense of entitlement to happiness around these days but I don't think there are any guarantees.

RE: Dress/skirt or pants?

Varied, to be honest. My time in the States were rather fraught but I made some nice friends.

RE: Dress/skirt or pants?

I had to wear a brown and cream version of that as a uniform when I waitressed in the States. Just brought back all kinds of memories daydream

RE: go to sleep

It's a different world on here, V. Not like the old days. I'm off to bed myself now. Have an early start in the morning yawn

RE: Reality...

Since there is no way anyone can say conclusively what reality is, does reality actually matter? Who is to say if we took the red pill, the reality we wake up to would even be real? Therefore, if we choose to take the blue pill, would it make any difference in the long run as long as the life we lived gave us satisfaction and some happiness?

RE: WISHS

Sauron is the main bad guy, represented in the films as a single flaming eye. The white wizard you're thinking of was Saruman (played by Christopher Lee)

RE: WISHS

I wasn't sure if he was who Tiny meant until she mentioned his tower falling and his one flaming eye. This could mean that either she has a very forgiving nature or is more likely to side with the villain as long as he is a powerful figure confused I never got the impression Sauron was good looking or even vaguely sympathetic

RE: WISHS

I'm more worried about you spending quality time with Sauron, the Dark Lord of Mordor. uh oh

RE: Is there life after death?

I'm curious why you would stay away from meditation. It's a very natural and innocuous pass time that is very helpful in relieving stress and dealing with life's issues dunno
