It just seemed that you were a bit angry and aggressive for a taoist. hmmm Maybe they'll teach about wu wei next week?

RE: War In Middle East 2012..? what do you predict?

Ran across this the other day... humanitarians a measly 15% in general everywhere including Israel.

No wonder we never get anywhere, some aren't happy unless they seek a pound of someone elses flesh. sigh

RE: Unexplained sounds heard worldwide ???

Well lets hope for the best V... it's not like we're having a shortage of monumental man made disasters at the moment. roll eyes

RE: Unexplained sounds heard worldwide ???

rolling on the floor laughing Well there we go.... looks like the sun's gonna still rise in the east for a bit longer.

RE: Unexplained sounds heard worldwide ???

Wow Stringman.... both of those videos were extremely interesting for differing reasons. But opting for the electro magnate reason for these sounds and doing a little jumping around... I came across this video of sounds coming from Venus:

These sounds seem very similar don't they?

As for the HAARP issue... I really don't even want to think why we want to play god there. doh

RE: Ask yourself this question. Who benefitted most from 9/11?

They're all war mongers around here honey. cool

RE: Ask yourself this question. Who benefitted most from 9/11?

RE: Rand Paul Detained By TSA

Oops that was Ron not Rand

RE: Rand Paul Detained By TSA

Well HL... I'm still free minded myself, for quite awhile and against quite a few odds, but I still have reservations about Rand Paul (not that we have much choice there)... at least he's the only one who stays true to his ideals, whether I agree with all of them or not. I DO NOT think aborting certain services are a boon to an equatable government, like; social security, medicare, the EPA or childrens health or everyones for that matter.

But he sees the rest pretty clearly, and calls it out loud.. and YES government should go back to basics and be properly handled, regulated and husbanded. But do we really need to throw the baby out with the bath water? Fix it, we can if all of us choose that as the course to take.

I think a lot of the contention that arises here on this forum is out of semantics.. people use different words for what are actually the same directions. People put names on us as if any individual can be categorized.. left/right, communist/fascist, as if we aren't all citizens who love our country or in my case used to... because I sure don't like what we've become.

I think all of us would like to see what is fair and equitable for most... not in a Pollyanna-ish way... but like grownups who are trying to raise civil children fit for adulthood. It's hard work and requires sacrifice, sensitivity and judgement plus working together as a parental unit, NOT screaming and yelling, blind commandments, beating them into submission or lies. We need to model the behavior the we want our offspring to embody, YOU SIMPLY CANNOT SAY "DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO". Temper tantrums and selfishness are not acceptable behaviors... let alone children who have been so spoiled that they think they are superior to others because they have more toys and goodies.

We need to all stop being hypocrites and start acting like responsible adults. This country is in trouble and needs work, a lot of work or we're going to screw ourselves by letting the few spoiled brats run the show.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with making and knowing how to make money, but there is also nothing wrong with someone who is content with a salary that just covers taking care of his family happily or giving a hand up to someone who needs one to get an education. Do we really want a class war as well as these invented international ones built on false fears and manipulations?

What IS wrong is people with large amounts of money gained by manipulating and paying people in government service enough to change laws in their favor to the detriment of everyone else
and whose greed, dirty dealings and lack of gratefulness to the country who gave them the opportunity to gain that wealth, choose to bail to foreign shores with their factories and jobs and then not pay their fair share. They have gone beyond what used to be the law of the land that still rules the rest of us.

This is also unacceptable behavior and we all need to stand up and say that we don't want to take it anymore... but to do that we have to be very clear about what is right or wrong and take it to the bank or burn it down if need be.

RE: Is our world turning demonic more and more each day ?

Stupid quote button, won't!

RE: Is our world turning demonic more and more each day ?

You can say that from New Zealand, where there are still a marble or 2 left that haven't gone off the deep end. hmmm

"What is real said the rabbit........?"

RE: Is our world turning demonic more and more each day ?

Yeah actually I have.... looking for answers in all the wrong places or... when there is no hope at all for rational solutions why not try mumbo jumbo.... or maybe they're just trying to make us dumber than we already are?

And quite violent they are too.... are they preparing us for things to come, so we'll think it's 'normal'?

crazy

RE: Rand Paul Detained By TSA

No, another government program bought and paid for by your friendly 1%. It's not the government who's at fault, but the oligarch bast***s you all keep defending, instead of a decent government with good sense, checks and balances and respect for all it's citizens.

Everyday more of our rights are being stolen by your money in action.

The FED, IMF, CFR, TSA, Patriot Act, Wall St. bailouts, the manipulated press, privatized prisons, the military industrial complex, pharma.... these have all been amassed for a purpose, we have all been positioned for a very long time at their weekly corporate strategy meetings, preparing us to be good fearful gullible sheep so that any discontent will be stifled with extreme prejudice... most won't know what's hit them, because they thought they were on the 'winning' team.

You think you're free and won't be touched? I wouldn't count on it.

RE: Ask yourself this question. Who benefitted most from 9/11?

Pretty much everybody who has bought the US government over the last 30 years... with GWBush giving them not only entre' but carte blanche... it was a feeding frenzy and still is... and the corporate media aided and a bedded in all of it... ask Rupert.

RE: Ask yourself this question. Who benefitted most from 9/11?

Yep thats the Company line alright.

She was a CIA intelligence asset as a go between the middle east and the US for 9 years, I don't think they hire dummies..... and suddenly she became 'crazy' and got incarcerated when she got inconvenient about the truth and telling it. dunno

There is no honor in Washington and from what I can tell, that's the way you like it.

RE: Ask yourself this question. Who benefitted most from 9/11?

cool Yes indeed...... stuck The plots thicken.

RE: Ask yourself this question. Who benefitted most from 9/11?

!

RE: A couple of questons on Paul

What we have right now is a free market economy, the government has been their tool for quite awhile. Those mega corporations pay the lobbyists to buy the politicians... so what's to complain about? Seems everything is going quite according to plan. confused

The problems begin when one persons greed has more value than a million regular Joes who can't seem to find work or are forced to be tools to invade other countries for power and control of the so called free markets.

The Libertarian premise is that the wealthy will be conscientious towards the less wealthy (or stupid, isn't that what they presume?) and some of the gravy will trickle down out of the generosity of their hearts to those less fortunate? Seen much of that going on as they've been bailing out on western jobs to cheap, unprotected labor countries? I certainly don't see where that follows... because if the present day scenario in the USA is any indication, that's one big fat fallacy. Little has trickled down.

So if someone is against taxation, financial regulation, Social Security, a national health, the EPA, affordable schooling etc, you remember, a functioning government that actually protects most of their citizens rights, safety and welfare, without prejudice. Greed rains unchecked and will use any means they can to acquire what they please, anywhere they please... and with the US Military nominated as the police force for the free market folks using OUR tax dollars to fund the invasions... with zero respect for other countries boundaries.

When there are no more tax dollars to be had.. are they prepared to foot the bill for their own weapons and cannon fodder on the way to world domination for power and profit? And when 2/3 of the planets population has been starved to death.. you know after there is no one left to buy anything, and you've started wars between yourselves for what's left. Kings of the world? dunno

!

RE: Is the US government, in its current form, outdated?

Yeah well, it wasn't broke but they've been fixin' alright. So now what?

RE: Is the US government, in its current form, outdated?

The stupid quote button isn't working this morning. mumbling

RE: Is the US government, in its current form, outdated?

Addressed to this comment by John. roll eyes

RE: Is the US government, in its current form, outdated?

That is the most naive blather I have heard in years! Not broke, are you kidding???? All the sides have joined together against you the citizen.... and you haven't noticed yet? doh

RE: Is the US government, in its current form, outdated?

Or there are some with plugged ears... rational logic never penetrates.

The Constitution and the Bill of Rights have been systematically altered to benefit the wealthy for decades. You have no rights, your government is no longer YOUR government, you sold it to the highest bidders and loudest mouths. So if you are in favor of that... then I guess you're happy.

RE: Is the US government, in its current form, outdated?

Actually in this form.... about 30. roll eyes

RE: Is the US Government, in its current form, outdated? Discuss.

Actually only one of the above WAS American.

People criticize todays America.. and rightly so, because what happens there affects the world... in fact they have brought not only their own, but the entire global economy to it's knees.

To pretend that isn't the case at this point is ridiculous... we have become an oligarchy, government bought by a few very deep pockets who are manipulating and changing our democratic laws for their own ends.... to the complete and total disregard of it's citizens. We should not only be ashamed... but outraged.

If these aren't signs of something deathly wrong with what used to be one the freest and most democratic countries in the world... here's a glass of cool aid to nirvana.

doh
