RE: gaddafi

Look I'm not looking to write a manifesto... unbridled capitalism has proven where it can lead. I just think we need controls and responsibility and the elimination of ENORMOUS multinational corporations that end up controlling governments... doesn't seem all that unrealistic to me... does it to you?

Just talking about a more equitable spread of the pie, which would happen naturally if.... there were rules and they were obeyed.

RE: gaddafi

I hope you're not deluding yourself into thinking it STARTED with Obama are you? popcorn

RE: gaddafi

It's sure worked up to now hasn't it? roll eyes

Oh yeah lets keep that government regulation as far away as possible from the doors of the Fed and the US Mint.. that makes sense. Now we know what unbridled capitalism can do for a planet.... topple the world.

Good job America, bastion of democracy and land of free enterprise.

You can't deny that this is definitely a wave of change and that the majority of the people are fed up with oppression, where it will end up is anybodies guess... and yet I feel hopeful. yay

Still in:

RE: Libya: 200 dead as Gaddafi's forces fire on protest

wave Hi John...

I was thinking this morning... even if most of these countries don't make a major change right now.. it has to be an eye opener for the hardliners doesn't it?

Like maybe we've gone a bit overboard here, time to maybe give them just a few little concessions? A lot of a people are getting REALLY fed up, but it's not just ME but a lot of our young people in our Muslim societies are not happy with the status quo.

With 60% of most of the Middle East under the age of 30... maybe all we have to do is wait out the old farts? daydream... I believe no matter what, within the next 10-30 years there will be MAJOR changes across the board in the middle east.

So I think the US should just holster those guns and wait it out. Frankly we can't afford to do otherwise anyway.

Just my 2 bits.
