I agree that a lot of the same actors seem to show up regularly. But I've also noticed a few duds at the box office lately, so some of the actors may be losing their lackluster. I have a tendency to like the original actors in a movie, and don't like replacements who later appear in sequels. For example, so-and-so gets too old to be in a movie, so they bring in a replacement that was the age the movie called for. A case in point would be the original James Bond. Now they have a much younger guy, but he doesn't fit my image of the original suave, virile man.
Once in a while, an epic movie comes along, like "Dances With Wolves", which someone on here thought was a dud for some reason. But it seems like the really good movies come along only once in a great while. Sometimes I see a movie and I think to myself, "This actor will probably never have another chance at an epic like this one." How often does a "Silkwood" or a "Green Mile" movie come along? Also, a lot of actors very carefully pick and choose which movies they will play in, so the scripts don't come along that often. Some movies are even written specifically for a particular actor.
Methinks there must be more to it than just a car. People my age that get a sports car are accused of going for our second childhood, having a mid-life crisis, or whatever way you want to put it. I don't think that just getting a sports car is automatically going to "get the girls", so to speak.
Oops. I accidently voted for Papa John's by mistake. Isn't that the one that makes pizzas that customers have to take home and cook themselves? My ex doesn't like this one, I don't think. But Papa Murphy's in Kent, Washington makes the best pizza. Yep, we still take it home and cook it, but it's so yummy for the tummy!
No offense, but ewwwww! None of the above sounds appealing to me. My brother ordered frog legs at a restaurant once. He said it tastes like chicken, and so do rattlesnakes (so I'm told.)
Totally eliminate the U.S. Electoral College thing, and let the people vote directly for who they wanted, instead of having poor choices foisted on us. Limit each of the two conventions to one day, including media analysis. Make it easier for Independents to be on the ballot, instead of having a two-party system of same-o, same-o.
Since I don't live in Canada, I don't really have an opinion. However, since they've been trying for yearsto seceed from Canada, it makes me wonder how bad it is up there.
I find it ironic that some people with severe mental handicaps can write great music, do awesome art, or be very loving, compared to the rest of the population.
I figure if I eat slop one day and eat right the next day, then I have balanced diet! 2 pounds of garbage = 5 pounds of good food, so it balances out (I hope.) Or I eat one candy bar and a nice, healthy diet otherwise. Aren't I good in math?
Okay, let me ask you this. Why would it appear that something extra was being offered if a woman asked a man out, yet when a man asks a woman out, nothing extra is implied? Sounds like a major double standard to me. If a woman asked me out (yeah, like that's going to happen!) I would never expect anything but a normal date.
RE: If you were getting to know someone and they had most of the qualities you were looking for in a mat
I would say no to most of these, just due to preferences. But extremely devout would be major plus.
