If you voted for Romney, what were your considerations

Romney got only 3,000,000 fewer popular votes than the opponent (not counting Florida), so the votes weren't that far apart. What were the main reasons you voted for Romney? Mine were:

1) Smaller government
2) Potential for a more conservative Supreme Court.
3) Better environment for business, especially small business.
4) Strong defense and military.
5) Potential for immigration reform.
6) Elimination of Obamacare.
7) Exploration of alternative energy source.
8) Less dependence on foreign oil.
9) Less regulation.

RE: Should he still be expected to pay rent.

My mother and I took care of dad before he went, and then I took care of mom for three years before we went. Now I'm a caregiver to someone else 24/7. Some of us are just put on this earth to be caregivers. I think it's commmendable that this gentleman is taking care of his mother in that way.

RE: For how long have you been single parents ?

I thought Jac might be short for Jackie or Jaqueline.

RE: For how long have you been single parents ?

Frankly, my dear...I couldn't afford to raise somebody else's kid. I have my own kid to raise.

RE: What Are You Like First Thing In The Morning?

Sleepy.

RE: Do you ever suffer from back pain

I've had back pain since I was a kid. Excruciating at times.

RE: Why do you keep coming back to this website?

CS is totally addicting. So many features to keep us occupied. Puzzles, games, forums, blogs, profiles, emails (for the lucky ones), and so much more. Great interaction with others. And since this is an International site, we get viewpoints from so many other members from other countries. Where else on the Internet can you get so much from a dating site at no cost? As if this were not enough, we have the totally awesome CS women on here that are so beyond amazing! How could anybody NOT be addicted to this site?

RE: pogs with babies

I think this IS the dyslexic version! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: are people the same in each country?

People are basically the same, but the cultures are vastly different for each country.

RE: "Obamacare"

One reason we're opposed is because of the mandatory provision. Everyone has to opt in to the government plan or be fined (the Supreme Court idiotically called it a tax, when it's a penalty.) We are a freedom-loving bunch down here, and the idea of being forced to do something we don't want to do irritates the daylights out of us. We love choices, and with this plan, there really isn't a choice. Also, employers and employees will be soaked to the max in fees. It will cost us a lot more now for healthcare than it would if this stupid plan hadn't come along. Finally, no one understands this plan, not even the ones who voted it into law.

RE: Did You Hug Someone today?

How do you think I became the man I am? rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Have u meet someone on dating site and fell in love with that person?

No, never met anyone from here in real life. The vast majority of CS women are too far away, and the local women in my area don't post in the forums and blogs. So it's hard to get to know the CS women. sigh

RE: What are the best first date proposals

Or an ice cream parlor. You can find out how compatible you are with your date by seeing what flavor they pick compared to you, especially if you both explain your choice of flavors.

RE: 35 days to Gods birthday Christmas

The birth of Christ was in May. Even today, nobody brings sheep down from the mountains in the middle of winter, so December could not be right for His birth. Remember the three shepherds? They would not be traveling in winter.

RE: Obama Won..HOOOO Haaaa

OBAMA JOKES

Congratulations to President Obama on being reelected president of the United States. Turns out it is not all bad news for the Republicans. It seems that depression is covered by Obamacare." –Jay Leno (Share this joke on Facebook)

"Exit polls show that President Obama did well with women, beating Romney by 11 binders." –Jay Leno

"Some more good news – the president announced today he is not going to raise taxes on the entire 1 percent, just Donald Trump." –Jay Leno

"Trump is not giving up. When it was announced that President Obama easily won the Electoral College, Trump demanded to see Obama's Electoral College records." –Jay Leno

"Donald Trump is starting to lose it. At one point last night on Twitter, he called for revolution since Obama won. The man's a billionaire who owns golf courses, okay. You don't call for revolution. Billionaires are the first ones beheaded during a revolution." –Jay Leno

RE: Ladies, most say "personality" is #1 on the first date. On the first date you do not know a persona

Well, if I were on a first date with Venus, I would already be fascinated with her before the date ever came along. On the flipside, I have no clue.

RE: Ladies, most say "personality" is #1 on the first date. On the first date you do not know a persona

I'm here, and people have told me that I'm intelligent. My confidence rises when I'm with a confident person, which Jono is totally full of. thumbs up

"Duh, ah think ah'll have da catfish." vs. "The bouillabaisse looks like quite an interesting dish with a variety of flavors. I would like to try that."

RE: i love ireland

I would love to visit Ireland for a couple weeks. They have great tours over there. Of course, if I met a sweet Irish lovey while there, I might decide to stay. I have a friend who has made several two-week trips there, and she loves the place.

RE: Ebay

Good. I can save tons of money by not knowing how to order stuff through PayPal. Any day now, I should be rich. Yeah, right.

RE: I am in love with ...

Horizontal is my favorite position, but not for the reason you might think. I get tired, so I take naps.

RE: HOW BLIND IS YOUR LOVE

I tend to be a klutz.

In the automotive shop, I fell on the floor 47 times in ten years and another 47 times I caught myself halfway down. Outside of work...well, let's just say it would be better if I stayed far away from china shops (bull in a china shop kind of thing, you know.)

RE: Ebay

My ex buys stuff on the Internet and on Ebay all the time. I also supposedly have a PayPal account, but don't remember any login information, which kind of renders the account moot. In which case, I wonder how merchants even get paid if I ordered stuff, since I have no clue how to get to my PayPal account.

RE: I am in love with ...

I don't know, but I've got a juicer in my room that is brand new and it's never been used. It was expensive, too. Go figure. My mother used to have a chopper very similar to yours. Haven't seen it in a long time.

Drinking and Driving

Drinking and Driving:

I would like to share an experience with you about drinking and driving. As you well know, we have been extremely lucky not to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from our various weekend outings over the years.

A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and then topped it off with an Irish coffee.

Not a good idea. Knowing full well that I was slightly over the limit, I did something that I've never done before: I took a taxi home.

Sure enough, I passed a police road block but because it was a taxi, they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise.

I have never driven a taxi before and I’m not sure where I got it.

RE: I am in love with ...

Anyone would want to move to wherever Freesparrow was!

RE: I am in love with ...

I looked it up. It looks like a pretty cool tool. No wonder you look so healthy, after chopping so many veggies!
thumbs up

RE: Best substitute for Alcohol???

I'm 68, never been a drinker or smoker, and never used drugs. My life is going just fine, without any "alternative" substances.

RE: WHAT TO DO?

Religious folk are generally pretty serious about their religion. Therefore, it's understand why it would be incumbent upon them to pick someone of their own religion. To do otherwise makes a relationship which will surely fail at some point. For example, can you picture a Muslim and a Christian together as a couple? Those religions are just too different to be compatible.

RE: Healthy Jealousy

I'm not sure that "healthy" and "jealousy" go in the same sentence. On the one hand, if your spouse doesn't care what you do in the marriage, no matter what you do, that says one thing. But jealousy can be dangerous. The main reason I don't mess with married women is because of moral considerations (it's totally wrong to do that), but another reason is that I don't want a jealous husband on my doorstep with a shotgun in his hand. "Healthy jealousy?" I don't think so.
