There are still tons of CB folks still operating out there. Most truckers have at least one CB radio in their truck, for example. I've even talked to truckers on the truckers' channels 17 and 19.
I watched Funniest Home Videos once, and one of the features was a totally blind cat who sensed a burglar in the house. The cat bravely took a giant leap to land right on the burglar's face. The burglar departed very quickly, with awful injuries! Serves him right. Karma sucks!
For a few days before Mt. St. Helens blew her stack, the horses were going nuts, stamping the ground, running around like maniacs, etc. Animals can sense when disaster is about to happen.
If only I had avoided going to that Solo Center meeting in White Center the night I met my first wife...but, then, I might not have met my second wife. Ah, the scales of justice...they are a very strange thing, indeed.
Be careful, though. You will find that you will be busier as a retired person than you were when you were working. Most retired folks say the same thing.
There are no gaurentees in life, and no one promised us a rose garden. If it didn't work out, it's time to move on. As Monte said, there are many more baskets of goodies waiting for you out there in dating land. For whatever reason, he chose not to leave his country. That says it all right there.
Au contraire, my friend. Reverse that thought, and you would then be right.
Charlie and Venus - "if i was a believer i would say his perfect plan was for man and woman to mate. marriage is a human made thing."
Wrong again. Charlie is right in the first part, in that it was God's perfect plan for a man and a woman to marry. But Charlie and Venus err on the latter part, because marriage was instituted by God, and God alone, when Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden. That's why they were allowed to be together. God considered them to be married. It was a perfect world then, until Adam did his thing with the fruit.
What is this date you speak of? Where is the doggone dictionary when I need one? People use these hifalutin' complicated words, and I wind up having to look them up!
