We have reached the winter solstice. All is quiet and at peace. Time to reflect. Time to plan for the future. Soon, the sun will again bring forth new life to mother earth...a new beginning.
Stop looking for love and show it. There are many wonderful and beautiful things in this world that are reaching out to us and we tend to ignore it. You don't need to search for love it will come to you if you're happy with yourself.
Never listen to such nonsense. You don't need to live up to other people's expectations. Here is something that might be considered useful;
I have only one expectation, and that is I will try to be open and honest and true to myself. It dosen't matter if I fail or succeed, but that I keep on trying.
There are NEVER too many women until I find one who has the same interests and emotional strength as me ...and even more...wait a minute... many are on CS.
When I look at the number of women I met and thought they were not a good match, I question if my expectations were too high. Likewise, myself selected as not a good match by others. Are our fantasies taking the place of reality?
Will be alone this Christmas, last Christmas and Christmas before that ha,ha. I enjoy the peace and quiet. I went scuba diving last night, will probably go Christmas day and bring some food and gifts to the fish.
I think the best looking women in the world is in Vancouver,British Columbia. They are from all parts of the world with beautiful complextions and I love sitting next to them on my way to work.
I always smile and look at women. They usually smile back and some will give a quick provocative look with their eyes. I don't see it as flirting but just a friendly acknowledgement. What do you think?
I think true love can been seen in many everyday people. A friend is married to a lady who is paralized from the neck down. He looks after her every need. Been married for 20 years and still act like teenagers. True love is not in words but in feelings and actions.
Great experience on this site, meet a lot of interesting people from many countries. I even got some emails from a few locals, went for coffee too. The good thing about online dating is that you can block any troublesome person and still have fun with others.
I've worked with people from various cultures who experienced similar things. Most people experienced the death of a loved one or famous people. Even children see the mystery of death. As for myself, I've brushed shoulders with death a few times. I also grew up in a Christian home and a minister in my family. That being said, I find the ancient philosophers like Aristotle, Anaxagoras,et al., long before the introduction of Christianity, mentioned "to embrace religion is to prepare for death." I think there's a lot of wisdom in those words.
I've loved and lost many times. I think it's a part of life...well...maybe not, it's a question of finding the right person with mutual feelings...so far it's been one-sided.
That's interesting. The ancients prayed to Isis the same way one prays to the Virgin Mary. I read some prayers to Isis from an ancient book I discovered and it was more beautiful than modern religious prayers. It reflects the hardships, fears and hopes the people had at that time in history. Just like religion is to the people of today.
The truth is being honest with yourself and believe in what you consider to be right. The truth depends on your country and culture. The words may be different because we all have a different language,symbols and culture, but the word "God" has many names (Allah, Jesus, Krishna, Budda, Jehovah, etc.); the symbol and meaning is basicly the same.
Religion is not responsible for conflicts. People with malice in their hearts are the cause. Religion is often used by these people as a mask to hide their true intentions.
It's easy to profile any minority. Everyone stands out in a crowd depending on where they live. i.e. being a person of color living in a white community or a white person living in a community of Indians. The problem is, no one is interested in learning about the person as a unique individual. It's easier to sterotype a stranger and say they're all the same.
Humanistic winter
