RE: The London riots and the attack on Prince Charles

Regarding the use of live ammunition... Read the law. frustrated
Regarding "throwing stones" both protestors and guard also threw stones there then but neither hit the other because of the distances between them.
The guard was not stationary. See if you can follow this chronology on the illegal mass murder of innocents:
While on the practice field, several members of Troop G, which would within minutes fire the fatal volley, knelt and aimed their weapons at the students in the parking lot. Gen. Canterbury concluded that the crowd had been dispersed and ordered the Guard to march back to the commons area. Some members of Troop G then huddled briefly. After reassembling on the field, the Guardsmen seemed to begin to retreat as they marched back up the hill, retracing their previous steps.
Members of Troop G, while advancing up the hill, continued to glance back to the parking lot, where the most militant and vocal students were located. The students assumed the confrontation was over. Many students began to walk to their next classes.
As the guard reached the crest of the Blanket Hill, near the Pagoda of Taylor Hall, about a dozen members of Troop G simultaneously turned around 180 degrees, aimed and fired their weapons into the crowd in the Prentice Hall parking lot. The 1975 civil trials proved that there was a verbal command to fire.

A total of 67 shots were fired in 13 seconds. Four students: Allison Krause, Jeffrey Miller, Sandra Scheuer and William Schroeder were killed. Nine students were wounded: Joseph Lewis, John Cleary, Thomas Grace, Robbie Stamps, Donald Scott MacKenzie, Alan Canfora, Douglas Wrentmore, James Russell and Dean Kahler. One was permanently paralyzed, and several were seriously maimed. All were full time students.

That was a horrible event and the guard had no right to murder and harm those students!

RE: The London riots and the attack on Prince Charles

It is true that there were war protestors present then on Kent State's campus. OK? There were other people also present such as "Students" who had a right to be there to attend classes or whatever. These students were the "spectators" murdered or injured that day. btw, the guard should have had no legal right to carry armed weapons with live ammunition there in public unless martial law was evoked. frustrated wave

RE: The London riots and the attack on Prince Charles

Sir ..... You obviously don't know law in this country and fail to realize that the spectators and people harmed there then weren't throwing rocks! They were spectators......... Geeesh doh frustrated

RE: Are men 55-70 non-existent on this site?

Have you tried looking around the 11000 number block on (West) Silver Lake Road? I know there's a number of healthy good old boys (won't mention names) over there around Byron MI. laugh

RE: The London riots and the attack on Prince Charles

Thanks but not name calling... maybe an innocent tag... . Just evoking the "pin-head vs patriot" feature used on the "no spin zone" journalist Bill Orielly show. Besides he's a big boy that doesn't understand the chronology of that tragic event at Kent State or the fact that the majority of students harmed then were simply spectators!
There was no marshall law evoked until May 5 (the day after the massacre) so the guard had no right to disperse any assembly (let alone be present there!) professor wave

RE: Is USA still a model country in the world?

Huh? The State of California is around $72 billion in debt and asking the Federal Government (49 other states) to bail them out. So, as mentioned previously, if the private sector in California is so wealthy why doesn't the private sector in California bail out the public sector (california government the government retirement systems there) instead of asking the rest of us to bail California out for their mistakes. wow mumbling

RE: Is USA still a model country in the world?

If California's private sector is so wealthy, why do Californians want the other 49 states to bail them out of their public fiscal woes? confused dunno rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Is the Holy Land ,..Holy?

I just returned from spending a couple of weeks in Israel. The Holy Land is a hot arid desert south of Galilee except where they are pumping the Sea of Galilee dry to irrigate and grow bananas and oranges.
I didn't see anything promising about that country but interesting enough I found that most Palestinians were the friendliest people I met there. If it wasn't for all the money and other aid which other countries are dumping into Israel it would be a wasteland. Guess I don't think it's a holy place.sleep laugh
