Loving a Woman

To love a woman is to feel their need,
to always cherish their heart and soul,
like an intravenous drip your are their feed,
for when she is loved and wanted then she is whole,

Simple gestures and tender touch,
reaching out and holding to let her know,
always let her know your feelings as such,
allow your emotions and tell her you love her so,

When out together you hold her hand,
lock your eyes upon hers,
whilst walking along lifes sand,
each glance and look shows how much you care,

Life has its ups and downs,
so work hard at it to keep her happy,
even though weary try not to carry a frown,
try never to raise your voice or be snappy,

Sharing a love can be a great test,
always be patient and understanding, also be at ease,
let her know when she looks her best,
say the truth and never tease,

For once you have this love and trust,
you then have a feeling to belong,
being together always will be a must,
and you will have found true loves bond.

About this poem:
How we should really feel about the woman we fall in love with.
When problems arise always best to sit down and talk them through
without anger or pain, doing things together will help both to gain.

Love and life

From that tiny seed we all grow,
to become who we are meant to be,
some of us to always remain in the hedgerow,
while others stand out like a tree,

whilst young in bloom we look to shine,
growing fruits to beckon the new,
bringing pestilence from time to time,
but roots within make us strong, to give us lifes view,

Within your sap you grow to your tune,
looking for that love to entwine,
even though your thoughts look to the stars and the moon,
snap, goes another branch as the water turns to brine,

You replenish your strength and grow some more,
for across the meadow is the one who may be,
your roots and feelings stretch to adore,
someone else has cut the path, making it difficult to see,

For another seed has become a tree,
standing in front and blocking your view,
all proud and resplendent they may be,
but lowly as you may think you are, your roots are very true,

The tree all proud and glowing,
your own leaves are glistening with growth anew,
and now the harsh winds are snowing,
you dig deep to keep your heart in view,

Lightening strikes and thunder rolls,
your hedgerow cushioned by the family of you,
bitter frost and howling winds take its toll,
and sadly that big grown tree is no longer in view,

Crushed and broken for its own need to shine and glow,
quietly your flower blooms and stretches for someone new,
for roots and depth is what we need, never to be shallow,
for you know your sap and roots will always be true.

Despair

Life is nothing but a dreamers paradise,
we all strive to obtain an existence in parity,
too much poverty, too much avarice,
our minds full of fears, hard to get clarity,

We plan our future with some sort of aim,
sometimes things go the right way,
other days we get little gain,
and if your lucky, you even get to have a say,

You feel that your years are planned,
then you get those things called knock backs,
and no matter what you do, all gets out of hand,
advice from the so called clever ones, the wisecracks,

Sometimes your so far down lifes totem pole,
your heart is heavy and your mind clouded,
you even consider digging your own hole,
every part of your life looks shrouded,

The years go by and you look to the past,
then you consider the ones that are dear,
you look at the good times then wonder why they never last,
because of their love and fear, this is what keeps your here.

Prizefight

Lost love is like a prize fight,
you counter the blows, ducked and dived,
you give it all you got and use your might,
between the rounds someone has lied,

You know this bout is your last chance,
dancing around the ring trying to find the opening,
your heart beats fast trying to re-kindle the romance,
breathing heavy and your mind hoping,

On the ropes dodging glancing blows,
whispered words shouted in your ears,
they have declared that your a loser, everyone knows,
hit below the belt and crazy with tears,

The final bell and your last shout,
you try to hold on clinching your ex-lover,
seconds tick down and on points you lose the bout,
your eyes are swelled, your body broke and finally know its all over,

You sit in your corner legs bent,
you gave it all, you gave your best,
no more love, even when marriage was given consent,
time to draw breath, you have no more fight, withdraw from all, give it a rest.

Xmas Love

Xmas is near and the festive season soon to start,
for some the revelry has already begun,
so many with partners and love in their hearts,
whilst others have relationships that have come undone,

No matter what happens or even the fears,
you look in your diary and see the empty pages,
this is the season of goodwill, forget the tears,
go out there and shine on so many other stages,

Soon the New Year will raise its head,
another turn of age in line,
your heart may have been broken, but your not dead,
so kick off those shoes and have a hellva time,

Somewhere across that room or dance floor, eyes will meet,
do not consider the moment as second best,
your heart might flutter along with the musics beat,
give it your all, for this one may be better than all the rest,

For those already in love may your season be blessed,
for those who have been the ones crying,
and that the love of xmas is smoothly caressed,
hearts may ache but never ever stop trying.

Merry Xmas to All

A Womans Love

My first love was the woman who held me close to her breast,
through my early days she always made sure I was near,
then as I grew, I am sure to her I did dearly test,
in my youth I was that unholy cross to bear,

Then as my maturity grew and lifes experiences took its toll,
more siblings along the way to make the family,
my nature was always that of a wandering soul,
3 brothers and 2 sisters, so much rivalry,

Off I went to find my own destiny in this world,
no matter where I went or how I fared this woman always cared,
some places have memories which I never want to have unfurled,
after a score of years I returned, she held me close as if I have
always been there,

The years have quickly moved along and age shows its face,
this other man, this woman loved , I was never jealous,
for she loved this man so humbly and full of grace,
she built a life and filled the home full of love like a trellis,

It was 17th September 2010 a day never to forget,
this man was ill and so near to death, but he waited,
this woman rushed to his side and listened carefully to his last
breath,
with a smile she kissed his cheek, tears streaming unabated,

We all knew that he held on because of his catholic breviary,
This woman said in a quiet tone full of passion he waited for me,
For today was to be our 63rd Anniversary,
and one day again together we will be,

And now this woman still so proud and strong,
at 82 and beginning to become slightly frail,
and my love for her will always belong,
for is she is my mother and her love for me will never fail.

A Scousers Xmas Tale

Xmas aint` much fun being on the dole,
9 kids and some old trollop that makes me cry,
she shouts "Oy you" get your butt outside and rob us some coal,
why I married a catholic, I will never never know, I say with a sigh!,

So off I trot up the East Lancs,
looking for this and that,
bound to be able to steal something off the mancs,
Oh look there is a dead cat!,

Put it in me swag bag it will come in handy,
wandering up the road on the look out for some loot,
pass a farmhouse backdoor open, wow that looks dandy,
creeping quietly just to have a quick toot,

I spy a table full of food and wares,
snatching all and placing in me bag,
oh I love xmas when it is time of shares,
running home quickly after all am just an old lag,

I tell her indoors get the pot on we have grub,
the snarl alone was enough to freeze your soul,
look here is some food for the kids I said with a shrug,
how the hell am I supposed to cook, we have no ruddy coal,

Jeezes there is just no pleasing you,
sneaked back out into the cold,
3 doors down I know that old codger will have what is due,
4 big shovels this lot will do, feeling bold,

Right you old bag you get the veggies done,
I will sort out the chicken and the meat,
looking over at her I wonder when I had such fun,
Oh boy by the time am finished the kids will have a treat,

Sitting down for Xmas dinner, gloomy faces all around,
young jimmy sitting there tears dripping without a sound,
I said whats wrong with you? He cried why has this chicken got 6 legs he let out with a wail!,
What you worried about I got a bloody tail.

renowned for being scallywags' or thieving gits, so to keep in tune with trend of self humour I penned this to make someone grin or even dare say smile, if it does then its been worthwhile.

Christmas is For All

Trees bare from the depths of autumn,
winter stealthily creeps upon us,
leaves are missing for the lack of the sun,
but soon the christmas cheer will make such a fuss,

Our children and grandchildren will be full of highs,
wondering what gifts Dear Santa will bring,
on christmas day we will see the delight in their eyes,
all the joys of love will make our hearts sing,

This is the time of year when some of us are alone,
but with friendship that abounds within this site,
with loved ones dearly missed, and hearts like stone,
read the blogs and threads and smile with delight,

So instead of cussing and hurting those near,
think of all those who have no one to share,
try and think of those, just say a little prayer,
and show that in this world, some of us do care,

My Heart is a Rose

My heart is like a rose,
underneath the frosty ground,
from a small seed it grows,
it smoulders within its own heat, struggling against others around,

In the spring it sheds the soil,
coiling upwards towards the sun,
to start the journey of lifes toil,
growing tendrils, my time has begun,

Slowly creeping along the wall,
holding tight against the rail,
waiting for the one who will call,
ignoring the ones who I know will fail,

I grow along my tendrils the thorn,
not to hurt but to protect,
for so many have tried to have me shorn,
for it is true love I wish to detect,

Then I feel your soft touch along my vine,
slowly I begin to feel the love and so I bud,
strength and love begin to shine,
for my heart is ready, for as it should,

Before your eyes my petals glow,
blood red with aromas scent,
I am showing you my love for you to know,
that love between us was always meant.

Language of Love

"Ste, sa pead mind usaldama, ma armastan sind ja ma ei lähe sinust
mitte iialgi eemale ning ei jäta sind maha, palun usu ja usalda
mind, ma tõesti armastan sind, yes im okay"

"Ste, you have to trust me, I love you and I do not ever go away,
and you will not forsake you, please believe and trust me, I really
love you, yes im okay"

You look and digest the words before you,
they tell you of their love and how much they care,
after all that's happened how could they be true,
all I did was to give my heart for you to share,

You promised to me, trust and never forsake you,
You had my trust, for you had my heart and soul,
to tell me you really love me, or words to appease too,
I never questioned your past, as to me you was whole,

You broke away without a true word said,
blocked my words so I was left without a clue,
befriended my ex on the book instead,
her words would be full of venom, I told you this too,

I explained to you about a choleric personality,
now you have conversed and heard the spite,
in truth her words have no reality,
now am told how much I disgust you and of your dislike,

So I look at your words and wonder too,
was I really someone you loved and cared for,
or just a ticket for somewhere new,
except this heart and love of mine could never show you the door,

My words of love for you and the way I showed it too,
nothing is clear anymore as I have lost your love and respect,
I would have taken you to that altar and said the words "I do",
but now in your eyes am just another defect,

Well I hope you find the love of your life,
but be honest with them and not hide your own lies,
so that one might even make you his wife,
but I will always love you, for I cannot despise.

Dating Love

Love is it just a game to play,
to see what others maybe like,
to check out what they may say,
not impressed, so take a hike,

So many photos and shadows to see,
glimpsing the profiles and resumes,
blanked out faces, who could they be,
are they serious or just here to play,

You have your heart that needs to love,
beautiful women for your eyes to glimpse and see,
quietness surrounds your life, your looking for that sweet dove,
all around you get this feeling they here to say, look at me,me,

They check you out with a glance,
no message left for you to read,
why look and see, are you scared to chance,
makes you wonder if there is love indeed,

All lookers take a peek to see if your their choice,
random players and scammers are all we meet,
if your really interested, then use your voice,
their words of promise, use my email it will be a treat,

So many here been hurt and burnt,
lessons in life for all to learn,
trust is hard to come by, it has to be earnt,
to find what we seek we have to take that turn,

So if you come by to look at me,
I too will look at you,
you might not like, but who am I to disagree,
to see if your words run true,

Visual impact makes sure its point,
but inner depth has its meaning,
for facial looks will fade away no matter how much you annoint,
to share a love is all about feeling,

So back to viewing the look and see,
please dear players and wanna be`s, leave me out,
to find that one who could be dear to me,
as I await that one who might shout.

Moving On

What seemed like endless pain, now all gone,
shrugged my shoulders, now move on,
again the quest of love to be found,
across the globe and all around,

Check the profiles and read the spiel,
try to figure out whats right and real,
so many scammers and make believers,
how many are really deceivers,

We analyse this and that,
send a message, then feel a prat,
silly boy you shouldnt` have said it like that,
go stand in your corner and wear the hat,

Hard to figure out what to do,
do I sit back and wait for you,
or do I play the scene,
silently waiting for the scream,

Do you go slow to quell the fears,
or hell for leather and soz the tears,
wow her picture looks great!!,
when you look in view its now 4 years out of date,

Well that one looks nice and cute,
around my age, but heck wants younger, oh shoot,
what a mess this is going to be,
I will look later, am off for my tea.
