Heart`s Thief

Within the dull and darkened gloom,
I lay their cocooned and slightly awake,
felt your presence as you crept into the room,
fully sated after our love making we partake,

Feeling your softness next to my skin,
kissing me gently upon my brow,
stirring feelings from deep within,
everything felt so right somehow,

I have not known such heavenly peace,
resting your head upon my chest,
smiling gently as our flesh began to crease,
in my mind I knew you were the best,

As I lay there slightly paralysed,
fate and time made sure we`d meet,
as I gazed upon your face I then realised,
my love was taken and you became my heart`s thief.

About this poem:
Dreams sometimes inspire the words and feelings, I dreamt this poem and managed to remember some of the lines. Maybe this is my subconscious telling me that I can love again and find the right one.

Expectations

I kept asking you what is wrong,
but you always kept it all in,
then all of a sudden you burst into song,
telling me that am as useful as a bin,

Insinuated that I was only just trash,
saying my legs are thin and weedy,
I never made you enough cash,
that my thoughts were often seedy,

That I am not the man you fell for,
why dont you be more of a man,
wishing that I would go out that door,
do not be an if or a what but a can,

You leave your clothes all over the floor,
make comments on my homemade cooking,
nodding my head I do that for sure,
your eyes are everywhere always looking,

Soon the words of your song tired,
I said you have had your say now its my go,
stop drinking the vino it makes you wired,
put on some clothes and stop putting it all on show,

Take an interest in our life,
become the woman you once were,
the one that made me take you as my wife,
and close your eyes that is one scary stare,

Taking you in my hairy arms,
I held you close with your eyes all moist,
I whispered sweet nothings and used my charms,
you answered back you were always my choice.

Matchmaking CS Style

Timing in life is required for success,
I am moving on but time is standing still,
so many wannabes and make-believers all with no zest,
where is that woman who will make my heartbeat thrill,

The one with eyes bright and smile to match,
a little curvy, maybe heavy or even slender,
am not seeking one who will be the ultimate catch,
just someone whose words are meant and tender,

I have set my goals to the lowest standard,
one who can smile and occasionally talk,
I am a realist after all I have been branded,
I can and will laugh if you have a dodgy walk,

My face is worn and lined, it is called age,
and yes even in the right sunlight I go brown,
am not rich or even well blessed not even the wisest sage,
but as my princess you will always wear loves crown,

I have enjoyed my time on this site,
met some really good friends for a chat,
but sometimes one needs to hold another in the night,
but my inbox is full of scammers, I cannot stand that,

So from now on, I will pop in from time to time,
hide my profile from all to see,
write a few words of idiocy, you can read each line,
After all I can be no-one else but ME.

About this poem:
Just a little fun from myself at the likelihood of ever finding the right one, I have set the standards so low that even I have failed to maintain them..if I do not laugh at myself and the way things are then my life will become so boringly lonely, glad the summer is moving in now is the time for drives and walks breathe in the fresh air...and funny enough you will never meet a Scammer there.

My Saviour

Rhoda a name depicting a rose,
could they be the solace for me,
from small seeds a flower grows,
whispering words of what might be,

Sometimes fate plays its hand,
troublesome mind that needs a rest,
and from the ashes a man might stand,
could this be another test,

She said my words had depth and feeling,
my heart still scarred from the pain,
she read them and held the meaning,
mind in motion like wheels on a train,

Look to the future, and try to address,
so much heartache, lots of strain,
my heart is free, am not here to impress,
push back the hurt and look to the gain,

Music she says can help your goal,
beating heart, striving in my chest,
it will help unravel your soul,
a symphony explodes and comes to rest,

I cry out, "who are you",
just a shoulder, for you to rely on,
feeling the lightness, rising in my heart too,
you have a right to grow, just as my son,

More words to temper my soul,
be still she said, and let your heart rest,
could this be the one to make me whole,
once you are settled you will feel your best,

She offered to befriend me in the book,
My mind haltered, am I on the rebound,
I viewed her profile and glad of the look,
we now share views and all is sound,

This friend of mine is now so dear,
we take each day as it comes, she said,
words of comfort and all is clear,
so now we talk and carefully tread,

Could this my saviour be,
She smiles and chat,
let us hope that it is, we will wait and see,
For now we will leave it at that.

About this poem:
I wrote this poem for someone special in my life at the time I was at my lowest ebb they befriended me and made me realise that life has more to it than just a lost love. They are no longer on CS and our friendship has been lost for I became to embroiled in my own world and lost contact, I was never going to publish it without their permission because in my mind it belonged to them and still does but she gave me so much hope that I feel all should now see.

Lifes Door

Another day, another door,
decisions to make or squander,
wondering what life is really for,
do I stagnate or wander,

Love and friendship roll into one,
time stands still whilst we grow old,
the calamities caused and done,
when young ever so bold,

The next door another chapter,
will it be full of sadness and pain,
praying this one will be full of laughter,
broken love another hearts stain,

Would it be nice to be lifes locksmith,
opening and closing magical doors,
to have those keys would be just the trick,
walking along those red carpeted floors,

But eventually that door we all fear,
the one that shows us the grim reaper,
as we get older it becomes so near,
to rest as another long term sleeper.

Eyes & Smile

The eyes and smile of a female.
can do so much for ones soul,
make your head spin and turn tail,
the right one can make your life whole,

Many men look at other things,
consider outward beauty to be the norm,
but for me eyes and smile will always sing,
too many females can cause a storm,

Those with sexy bodily looks,
Can turn many a mans head,
dont have the sense to read a book,
great to look at but not many words said,

Give me a female with eyes and smile,
those shimmering eyes of truth,
lips to kiss make life worthwhile,
for her heart to love will be proof,

Whether her eyes be blue, green or other,
smiling lips, soft, gentle and sensual,
this female will love you and will not smother,
a loving wife they will be essential.

About this poem:
What do we perceive in a female how we view them intially many men always go with the attractive look of a woman being sexy in bodily form but many of us look at different aspects first, give me a woman with soft lips and eyes that will melt your heart and whose words and feelings will make you want to cherish them and love them always.

Loves Weakened Heart

How many times can ones heart give love,
when it has been broken and hurt in the past,
each moment shared with another have been placed above,
so many heartbeats until it gives out at last,

The years have flown and time is no longer a race,
it beats a slow pace no longer the desire,
age and worry now strain this old face,
wondering whether this heart could rekindle another fire,

When does one give up the lovers mad chase,
knowing that the walls of this heart so very thin,
maybe its best to go all alone and with gods grace,
does one have the strength to have a new begin,

Different dating sites to find someone new,
the first time online you found her,
yet another heartache left you so blue,
can you raise your pulse enough to care,

Now jaded and so often rejected,
why pretend to be cheerful and hopeful,
this is how life is now reflected,
time to move on and allow it to become restful.

The Prettiest Eyes

Oh she had the prettiest eyes,
they were the deepest soft green,
looking into them I could see no lies,
even to this day they were the best I have ever seen,

I remember very well that day,
sitting together in that room,
just looking at one another no words to say,
I was too young for love to bloom,

The teacher was good she put you next to me,
a normal girl with eyes so bright,
I was chuffed to bits as one could be,
those beautiful eyes held so much light,

Each little look up and glance,
sent my little heart into heaven,
I wish I was older so we could romance,
but I was after all only seven,

It now seems from that single day,
my preference was set in steel,
how a womans eyes can have so much sway,
this is what makes me tick and how I feel.

About this poem:
How impressions in childhood set about the standards as we grow older and the preferences we have. I will never forget that little girl her eyes were like green emeralds so deep in colour and bright they just swallowed me up and she had such a quirky little smile, since that day it always makes me think first eyes and smile.

Tired Heart

When a heart breaks one loses ones soul,
no longer does the joy of love in you awaken,
you no longer have that feeling of being whole,
love has been cast aside and you are forsaken,

Again one is left to look around,
feelings and emotions left you broken up,
difficult now to try and cover new ground,
will there ever be another to fill loves cup,

Your heart gave everything it had,
love enraptured within and bloomed,
now its so tired and feeling sad,
its lifeless, loveless and feeling doomed,

Friends say one has to let it all go,
their sentiments are truly sent,
but it is not their heart that is on show,
the love within is now well spent,

When ones heart was truly fired,
alive and hugely enchanted by you,
empty now and feeling so very tired,
broken and damaged right through,

So many words of love that were said,
notions and ideas filled in my head,
my heart was taken in and lapped all it was fed,
now your gone and it has been left half dead.

Time is meant to heal all,
mind is now comfortable with the loss,
but my heart is still at a stall,
it has paid dearly in cost.

About this poem:
When one has deeply loved another and felt everything right through your bones, it is hard to gain the momentum to look forward and tread new ground. These are my feelings and how I perceive this lost love, one day I will be that person who will love again it just takes time.

New Starts

Do we really look at one another and consider?
your facial features are certainly pleasing to see,
your eyes certainly have that look, come hither,
is it love your after or just to have fun with me,

Our minds wander with many a thought,
we try hard to express our feelings,
holding onto the values we have, whether learnt or self taught,
our words sent to one another with so many meanings,

We try to keep each other amused, words well spent,
we are trying to win each other over,
it is love within our hearts, everything is meant,
we are both hoping that we are each others four leaf clover,

We have sent many a message and now long to see,
so consider both of us that skyping we must,
that your looks and voice of words can really be,
that camera lense will show us a view that can be just,

Content with what we see, we look and talk,
and do our best to learn so much of one another,
after many weeks we want to be together, to have that little walk,
we have become so close, almost like sister and brother,

We meet and our hearts feel that music sounding like a bandstand,
walking together and holding hands, this we both like,
So I ask you to take my hand,
and join me on the dance floor in the ballroom of life.

Day Dreamer

One day my life will change for the better,
thinking and dreaming of times gone by,
wanting so very much to get another letter,
looking into your eyes and letting out a sigh,

As one gets older you start to reminisce,
wondering if you have fulfilled your hearts desire,
that soft tenderness of yours I do so miss,
we had for such a short time so much fire,

Spring has now broken through,
and the warmth of the sun tingles my skin,
you could have been here with me too,
love at times can be so fragile and thin,

Sun breaks through clouds like a streamer,
I hope your safe and looking well,
and I sit here still being that day dreamer,
maybe we will meet again one day, who can tell.
