Words Of Love Act:2

He said, "Emptiness is cold!"
She said, "Welcome to my world of love, for cold it is not!"
He said, "But it is so hard to get there, and I've tried everything I have! From the task I have won nothing but my growing age of old."
She said, "You only jest? You are a remaining image of the past!"
He said, (slowly, quietly, sighing) "Yesterday's life is all I've got."
She said, "You're kidding?"

Spirits Beckon

Spirits beckon one more time,
Be merry and bless my - bourbon wine,
I can bleed though you can't see.
One more drink - that's all I need,-

Spirits beckon like shooting stars,
They were wondering where you are?,
You look weary - my dreary friend,
One more line - you will live again,-

Spirits beckon with reason and rhyme,
Is this a game played in your mind?,
Broken, cast outs - they are your friends,
And they are here to greet you,
At the end.-

Spirits beckon me one more time....

About this poem:
I wrote this 6-1-1998. A slow "dead" drumbeat with bass and easy guitar sound playing, except the solo part(s) I added to this song. But, no matter how good it may sound, you can always change it! lol

Words Of Love Act: 1

She said, "I love you!"
He said, " My love for you is true, but my race is going extinct!"
She said, "All my love my heart can give is all I have, and all my heart I can only give to you,"
He said, "Could the love in my heart be enough?"
She replied, "I don't know?"

Letting Love Lead

Now, the time is come for me to carry on,
What was right then - time to pay the Piper,
Still, I wasn't wrong,
So quickly went that life on a perfectly jagged road--,
Letting love lead the way-,
Just to feel something where there was nothing at all,
Years to build - watching in moments to fall,
Once again, alone,
But still standing tall--,
Letting love lead you betrayed-,

Letting love lead you,
Then love no longer needs you,
What else can you do?
Just follow the sound?-,

So many paths you could have chose,
You chose love and what did you know?
A winner only to lose?,
Or the path you go?--,
Letting love lead astray-,
Now since time - it has come to change,
Without many words here left to say,
But there is you,
And you are still the same--,
Letting love lead-,

Letting love lead me,
Blindly knowing love can deceive me,
What else could it be?
I'll just follow that sound!----

About this poem:
I wrote this 6-20-2022. This is a sad, sentimental song that we've all had a taste of, or perhaps still has a taste in our mouth from yesterday's life. When I wrote this, I wrote it here before placing on paper/ music sheets. So, this is an original first draft without music or rewriting, adding more or subtracting less. Until then...

No Place Like Space

Spaceman,
Laser guns,
Killing off races,
Having fun,-
The Ape-man,
Well, he claimed my cave,
He ate my food,
Then he ate my slaves,-

There's no place,-

Gypsyman,
Told us why?,
And how to live forever,
And touch the sky?,
The Doobieman,
Ha, you all remember him!,
Well, he sells only the best!,
No seeds and stems,-

There's no place,
Like--
There's no - no - no place like space!-

Psychicman,
And the future he saw,
The Planet of the Apes!,
He's seen to far!,
The Musicman,
Tuning his tunes,
Thrash Heavy Metal!,
Changed into blues,-

There is no!
There's no - no - no place like space,
There is no!
No place like space!-

About this poem:
This one I wrote 5-11-1998. Strange how I sort of predicted the future off this. Next to "Neighbors part 1", this is one I may try out on stage coming up soon at a nightclub or a biker rally! Or just sell it to the highest bidder?! lol

Suicidal Games

One day I grew up,
By my let downs and pain,
How I made it this far?,
I really can't say,-
Married with children,
But, still so alone,
Giving them a place to live,
I'm so far from my home,-

Are there people like me?
Life's not the same,
Daydreaming of a possible past,
Suicidal games,-

Prisoner of thoughts,
Everyone is gone,
Places to go to,
A life of their own,-
Talking to yourself,
This time something answers you back!,
And this time you know,
You've gone off the tracks!,

Are there people like me?,
And what do they play?,
Pour souls like them,
Standing in the rain,-

Suicidal games,----

About this poem:
I wrote this 4-20-2011. This was written within the same time frame of when I wrote What I've Done and Rock n Roll Star, within hours I mean. This is one I played around with "shock rock" but it seemed more laid back and mellow; for it sounded better!

The Rain

Where there's yesterday - today's tomorrow
Where there is love. yes love
There's a bittersweet sorrow
And you
You're not exactly alone,-

A smooth snowy drift
In the quiet air
The Snowman cometh
Just to stand and stare-
And he's thinking of you
What else can he do?-

The rain picked the right time
And fell from the sky
The soft snow turned to deadly ice
The Snowman froze with no place to hide-
No one loved him
No one cares
Has the sun started to melt away his frozen tears-
And you
You're not exactly alone,-

Surprised to see it's summertime
The birds they sing
The flowers bloom
The leaves turn green-
And there is love, yes love
Bittersweet love-
Stepping outside while the weather's fair
Baby butterflies dancing around your hair-
Feeling free - Swirl with the breeze,-

The rain picked the right time
And fell from the sky
Warm summer days
Returned to cold winter nights-
No one loved her
No one cares
All alone, cold, teary, and scared-
And you
You're not exactly alone,---

I wrote this 11-10-1997. This song is about the change of seasons. The Rain tells a small example of a story of it, I suppose in a psychedelic sense!

You Fool No One

I went for a ride,
I was probably high,
And I found myself here,-
I hear the sound of the band,
with a dollar in hand,
They gave me free beer,-

The barkeep said, "I like your song,"
"But in-between the lines you fool no one!"-
"But it has to be cool!",
"Playing it like old school!"-

The day became dim,
But then again,
How could I tell?-
I stepped into a room,
People mellowed in groove,
And I remembered that smell,-

The deadhead said has he passed his bong,
"In-between the lines you fool no one!"-
"But it has to be hip!"
"Striking that deep shit!"-

I walked back out on the floor,
What could be more?
She walked right in,-
Dressed in leather and lace,
That sweet smile on her face,
High-heeled sugar and sin,-

In the back- the band began to play a hit song,
"In-between the lines you fool no one!"-
The crowd went wild,
Jamming to acid rock style,-

She approached me,
Strutting her scene,
All the boys went crazy!-
Both our eyes met,
Take what you get,
Everything became hazy,-

And everyone sitting at the bar said,
"In-between the lines you fool no one!"-
And the sound- it changed,-
It sounded heavy!-

We talked until one,
Laughter and fun,
I felt we had something.-
We talked about plans,
How she needed a man,
Then I heard her phone ring,-

I heard someone say on her phone,
"In-between the lines you fool no one!"-
Before the band put up I did a solo,
The blues stopped by to say hello,---

Kill

I remember the easy life,
Pushing rocks uphill,
And how I made it this far?
Living in Hell,-
"Those are the streets where you cannot go"
Mommy told you to stand still,
"That man coming this way and pay heed to what I say"
Kill or be killed--

Into some of the darkest places,
Through cities corrupted by sins,
And why I was made this way?
Built to win,-
"When it's all over and all seems lost"
Mommy said to you wearing a grin,
"That man standing alone out there"
Kill and kill again--

I remember the harder life,
All at free will,
And what made me travel this way?
ha, Just for the thrill,-
"Such destruction he left in his wake"
Mommy pointed out with so much feel,
"His way of bringing peace and love"
Smile when you kill--

Rejected By Girls And Boys

The Devil's in disguise,
That angel by your side,
The sky is turning grey,
Just another day.-
You feel you've lost your way,
On the jagged edge you play,
Soiled and broken toys,
Rejected by girls and boys,-

Now all the world's a fair,
Tangled in your hair,
Only you see the light,
Just another night,-
Voodoo and the Evil Eye,
Hand and hand they ride,
In love with so much joy,
Rejected by girls and boys,-

Then left was you and me,
The day of night set us free,
Getting higher and higher,
Closer to the fire,-
Pray upon your prey,
In all different ways,
Between silence and the noise,
Rejected by girls and boys,---

WTF (Just Because)

I - am - getting stoned,
Walking down a worn out,
New paved road,-
I saw a ripple in the street,
WTF - is - in - this weed?-

Yeah, going to fast,
What a blast!-
You made it this far,
Just because,-

I - am - getting high,
Roll another that's what it said,
Has the bird passed me by,-
I remembered something I forgot,
WTF - is - in - this pot?-

Yeah, going at medium pace,
With style and grace!-
You made it this far,
Just because,-

I - am - getting lit,
In through the outer realm,
There I went,-
I found a smile in the flow,
WTF - is - in - this smoke?-

Yeah, grooving slowly as you please,
With everything along that you need!-
You made it this far,
Just because,--

A Word To The Wise

She talked of him filled with love,
But never could remember what his name was,-
And how love - how it filled the air,
When no one was there,
In such despair,
No one here cares,-

He disappeared into that night,
Caught the last ride out of town and took the first flight,-
For a ride from then onto now,
Where no one is allowed,
Oh, so better than thou,
No one here cares how,--

Her angel cried,
His demon smiled,
Together such beautiful music,
A word to the wise,--

She lost love and gained love to hate,
But never knew how to lose her faith,-
And how life - how it gained wear and tear,
Beyond disrepair,
Nothing is fair,
And no one here cares,-

He came back one sunny summer day,
He saw her alone and merrily went on his way,-
For the ride that made a star in the sky,
Where no one else dared to try,
Some star's never die,
And no one cares why,--

Her angels wept,
His demons ran wild,
Together such intoxicating music,
A word to the wise--

About this poem:
I wrote this 3-7-2022. A Word To The Wise is the title I've been working on for over a month or so by different forms of writing it. The song is about a girl I once dated back in school and on Easter week vacation I vanished into the night and completed my grade without anyone knowing of my intentions on leaving. Over the years she found faith in God and I just do Rock-n-Roll/ Heavy Metal.
