He in from work, sits down,
she pass's him by, a frown,
she's on her way out, it's her mate,
she's called, needs to see her,
can't wait,

He opens the fridge, finds a meal,
purchased last week, special deal,
Chicken Tandoori with rice, cooks
in the microwave, cheap price,

Eats it alone in his room,
he's tired, go to bed real soon,
2am, she's in, he wonders
where had she been,
footsteps outside on the floor,
tiptoe away from his door,

It's morning, wake up
and go down, she's there
eating breakfast, a
frown, no talk, nothing
to say, the start of a
normal day, it wasan't
always this way,

The kids are in college
till spring, fees are due
in, the bank ring, pay
all the bills by due date,
another night working late,

He's in from work, sits down,
she's reading the paper,
a frown, no words, nothing
said, teas made,

It's morning, wake up and go
down, he's there on the
chair, a frown, start of a
normal day, how long will
it go on this way,

Together because of finance,
creates this ritual dance,
now counting the cost, of
love long since lost.

I'll put a 50 on Gazebo to win,
She's a sure bet, its not a sin,
At 100 to 1 I know where
she's been,
I really can't lose, gimme the
phone till I book a world cruise,
I'll sit over there, smoke my cigar,
call me to collect, I wont be far,
ok honey is the race run?, what?
its over, no one won?, jeez,, that
was no fun,
so no money?, lost it? honey?
so I can forget the yankee?,,,
look,, just give me a hanky, and
I'll be on my way,
oh and cancel the cruise,


I cant fu###ng pay!

Bloody hell, its raining again, I'm swimming
in liquid H20,,,,,,dont you know,

If I pray dear Lord, will you take it away
just give me a minute, while I think
what to say,

Dear Lord, I know your short staffed,
and I have a daughter, she'll join
the nuns if you alleviate this water,

I'll even go further, without connations,
I'll canvess me family, and sign
up me relations,

I'll donate my last penny to any charity
you choose, I'd be happy with nought,
if you just send me a drought,
Lord, my faith in you it will restore
now, about this downpour,

I know its life giving, I won't argue
that fact, but wading through floods
of it, is leaving me jacked,

Its times like this Lord, I get under
the weather, if I saw sun,
you'd knock me down with
a feather,

Look Lord, there's deserts out there
need it more than I do, cant you
just spread it around, and I'll steer
clear of you know who,

Lord, I'm sorry I said hell, honest
I am,, but there must be somebody
somwhere building a damm dam,
Can you drop it to them, with
my regards, and if you over supply,
well,, I'll send sympathy cards,

Now, if you can't do it, or grant my
request, can you listen to plan b
its probably the best,

Lord, I can't swim, Lord, I can't
even float, will you appear to me
with the plans for a boat?

Mrs Simpson the other day,

Would the lady like a hairy chest,
or one thats bare, does she really care?
Words of wisdom are oft times rare,
she penned it well, true words to share,
and whats the harm, my lady fair,
undo a button,, here or there,

A stroke, a touch, another day,
designed in us,,, I like,,, my way,
at 22, .........the new day dawned,
I saw, I learned, there's nothing
new in me or you,
the end is nigh, and here I lie,

Casualties of Love

Who was that girl with her head held low, or the one
crying out on the radio, who was she that averted
my gaze as she wandered alone in her dreamy haze,
Who was that man who always stayed last, drinking
alone and reliving his past, there's pain in their eyes,
stifling silent cries, wounded and lame wondering
who's to blame, hearts that are scarred and wounds
that won't heal, trust that is shattered, afraid
to feel, where can they go to get some respite, lost
and alone, their cries in the night, no building or
doctor, no state instutition, can offer them help
or any solution, we've all got a tale, a story to tell,
a scar to show how hard we fell, there's only one
way to continue in life, to regain what we lost
and battle the strife, we don't need a doctor, advice
or a nurse, we gather our strength and get back
on the horse, lets do it with courage, believe and
conviction, accept the past and accept no
restriction, we know what we are, we know
from above, we know we're the continuing
Casualties of LOVE.

I've been reviewing the situtation,
contemplating my mental state,
It's been a long time coming,
and I hope, not too late.

The one thing that seems strange,
and causes me some pain,
That creates a strange illusion,
Shorting signals to my brain.

It's a compelling contradiction,
between the vision and the thought,
It keeps on reoccurring,
despite past battles fought.

Accepting the final outcome,
it's all that I can do,
But I STILL ask the question,
Am I 49 or 22..

I was very clever when I was younger,
about 21, the world was my oyster,
now those years are gone,

I knew everything there was to know,
I knew all about the world and people
Yes, I did, that was so,

Something happened between then
and now, I lost my knowledge,
I dont know where, when or how,

Somewhere along the line, somewhere
in space and time, without asking
my permission, without hope of
remission, all knowledge deserted
me, for no apparant reason
well, that I could see.

I'm no lamb, but, here I am
accepting the fact, in the final act,
I'm not soo smart, life played its part,
and made me see, there's more to life
than there appears to be.

I take a journey every now and then, a voyage
of discovery not known to many men, its a place
of tranquility where one can reflect, you can come
with me, you can take my hand, if you so elect,
I'll show you sights of beauty in peaceful contemplation,
the beginning of the world and the wonder of creation,
we'll trace a path across heavenly skies.. and see a new
world emerge as an old one dies,.... we'll watch comets
stream acrosse a black velvet night sky,
and watch shooting stars on their way to die,
So reside beside me if you can, you'll see another way,
you'll see another plan,..... I'll show you new perspective
and I'll show you new design,..... I'll share with you my
secret, we can change our paradigm,...... we'll create a new
beginning and dissolve whats past, a vision for the future
thats strong and made to last,... though nothing ever stays the
same, ...............yes change is constant, ......
................there's no one to blame,
events will happen in your life that forumlate the way
you think,..... stop and contemplate,...... for life is over
in a blink, its you that brings your world alive,
you have control........ to thrive........or strive.
nothing can effect you, there's nothing you can't do,
life cant hold you back,,unless you allow it to,
So come with me and take control, let this knowledge
be your guide, create your world, disown the past,
and take this heavenly ride, we'll find our way, through
the darkest day, and discover that new light, by
holding strong, and holding on, to what we know is right.
So don't let yesterday dictate to tommorrow, don't make
the past something to follow, now you take the reins,
you suffered the pains, believe in yourself, move from
the bad and move from the sad,,,you make it so,
you have control,, now you decide where you go.

I know I'm strong willed, of that there's no doubt,
I don't give up easy, I don't mess about,
And not to continue, well, its not part of my plan,
I won't quit, it's not in my remit, you do if you can,

Now, thats the end of this ryhme, and I think its
about time, I opened a pack, not turning back,
the urge, its too strong, it may be totally wrong,
and you can comment, you can take a poke,

Dear Lord I need help, I cant write anymore, I need a plan,
show me some talented poets to inspire me if you can,
I'll include them in my writings, pay them verbal commission,
Can we start real soon Dear Lord,,thats with your permission,

I'll write a "NeverEndingStory" and dedicate it to you, I
know you'd be a "goodguytohave", I know this is true,
I'll never drink alchol again, I'll stick with coffee maybe,
or I may consider quaility like "earlgreytea"
And Lord I'll help that lady next door, she's moving away
today, she's leaving right off the cuff, I'll do a good deed
help this lady in need, I'll help move "heidstuff",
And I'll compliment Heidi on her way, in that pink
flowing dress, and how she speaks so elequently
just like a "Pinkpoetress",

So Lord, just send me a sign, of when I should start,
And I'll pray ,,every day,,,,straight from my heart,
