Does using Gmail as ID(for a big company) make a difference?
I have had several requests from unknown individual persons with yahoo email addresses requesting me to contact them at those addresses. Of course, I just delete those messages immediately.
I wonder the same thing myself.

Awhile back, I got a new computer, and got a new email, which I don't give out much, a lot of the nonsense has stopped.
Oh yes afew companies in Canada have gotten into trouble selling personal info to companies selling stuff. You heard the old saying , no news is good news. I feel sorry for our elderly who have to put up with this.

Ed mentioned that he also "won millions" but I do not think it was based on a notification in his CS mailbox like mine was. This is the first time I received such a notice in my CS mailbox.
Some previous CS emails requested me to send money instead.
I wonder if there are any others CS folks who have received such a notice, informing them that they won millions, in their CS mailboxes.
I am happy to know that some companies in Canada have gotten into trouble for selling personal information about their customers/clients to other companies.
Personally, I think this situation may be very widespread.
