Ian, you look like a propper little imp. Your Mam looks so beautiful, and the dog is adorable. Looks like the 70s the way you were dressed. Were you on a caravan hoilday? No one will ever take away the memories you have of your dear Mother. sad flower angel

For two years I kept mums ashes, as my bothers could not decide what to do with them...i was very depressed in 2012. split from my GF, lost my business,...was in a hell of a mess..and having mums ashes around was horrible..

I woke up one morning and drove to my nans grave, my mums mum..she was lovely to... i emptied the urn on my nans graves...i feel to my knees and sobbed for what seemed like all morning.

My brothers weren't to happy but I did what i felt was right. A week later I flew to Bahrain to see my brother.and never left...been here ever since.
One helluva loss then, seeing as you fellas got the best mum. rose
You did the right thing Ian, I told my 2 daughters to scatter my ashes on their dads grave.
My sympathies Ian. sad flower Looks like you had a great mum.
Hi Ian sad flower
What do you miss the most about your mom (if you don't mind me asking)?
Hello Ian, handshake , My thoughts are with you Ian. I lost my Mom , 2 yrs ago to cancer, it seems like yesterday. Memories of Moms last year with cancer, haunt me to this day, but I keep reminding myself of Moms better days.
Remember , when someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.
You take care Ianhandshake

Sorry for your loss...but you have good memories of her and that can't be taken away...

I have to agree your mom looks like Marilyn...bouquet
@kal

Everything, being older and much more experirnced in life, would always ask her advice.. But she was so so funny to..would make us all laugh. She just enjoyed all of her family around her, her sisters and brothers all lived in the same town..all very close knit.
Ian.. You are nice person and jovial. Here (even only virtual) but you have many wise friends which you can ask for an advise or only just sharing. I know the feel will not be the same, at least we just like family here..
To be honest Ian, i'v being anxiously waiting for your reply, just to see would you mention what i myself have being feeling since my mums death 5mths ago.. but you haven't but it doesn't matter.

Your mum sounds wonderful
and in spite of the tears in loosing her

I'm sure losing a loved one is very hard in griefing. As I grief for my husband and daughter that passed. All of us has lost someone who was important in our lives that brings to happy memories that are left behind to store those in our hearts.wine
Sorry itchy..I wasn't aware of that ..blues ...how was your relationship with your mum..and how are you coping ..5 months is not long so you must be still grieving
Cap...hubby and daughter...can't begin to imagine the trauma that has caused. Emotional pain is by far the worse pain I've felt loosing mum. To lose my son before me would simply tip me over the edge.
I lost mine 8 years ago, ...I know the feeling... stay strong!!
Liked yours Ian, i lost mine to cancer too.. she passed on christmas eve just gone, and yes we were close and given she had lived minutes down the road from me, i saw her quiet often and spent much time with her too.

What bothers me most at the moment is not feeling mums love and care being there anymore.. its a new feeling and i can't wait for it to pass because its the loneliest feeling in the world..but as you have mentioned grieving, i'm hoping its all part of that, its a selfish feeling but i can't help how i feel.

Tho its sad, its a nice blog all the same....
its good to give into our sadness and share if we can..hopefully your feeling all the better today after doing so and are finding it easier to smile through your tears sad flower teddybear

Chin up mate, live for her wine
