I was talking to a couple people online and have found that many people especially women would not date a laid back person who is comfortable with life and has no desire for bars, clubs or liquor at all.A lot of men are past that stage of partying and enjoy Coffee shops and flea markets as opposed to the high maintenance environment of social gatherings where loud music and drinking are involved..Ie, they prefer movies at home on wide screen tv and music at home on the surround sound system and inside grilling and BBQ-ing and more home oriented than doing the social scene.family oreiented but without kids and desire women of the same ilk.
Would you be prepared to move those boundaries just a little as a matter of compromise?
I'm pretty insular, but even I like to sit in a pub garden with a lemonade and a bag of crisps after a long, muddy walk.
I'm thinking you've got quite a lot of requirements which narrow your chances of finding a partner. The spending time with family, but 'no kids' is especially confusing.
Maybe it's a matter of finding a different way of expressing your needs?

Welcome to the forums, btw.
Love the sound of youre muddy walk followed by lemonade and crisps in the pub garden Jac.. Have been there before i think..
In response to the thread.. I would have no problem at all dating a "homebody".. Though compromise and an open mind to change are important also.. Possibly.

No, I don't think this is a problem. I have male friends who don't drink and are not into the club scene either.
How old are the women you're approaching? If they don't have kids and are a good bit younger, they might simply still be in their "clubbing years". You have an age range between 18-45, it could keep women around your own age from getting in contact if you would consider someone your daughters age.
Just look for someone compatible, some profiles give a good idea what someone is into.

Sure I would. I don't drink and don't hang out at clubs. I would like some social interaction though, neighbours and friends coming over occasionally. I wouldn't want to be a total recluse.
I think most people are home bodies now anyway. I know for me there is no comparison, I love my nights in, iv done all the pubs clubs and out stuff. I think it runs its course. I only do one night out occasionally now and quite happy with that.
No, I wouldn't like to stay at home watching movies, I barely watch television and listening to music is much better in a concert hall... I am a social person and enjoy meeting people, long conversations over diner in a small cosy restaurant... I hate browsing supermarkets, I get what I need and out... Same applies for other shops, but I like bookstores... But that's just me, we are all different after all
I think there is nothing wrong with not wanting to be in nightclubs all the time and wanting to live a quite life but get a woman that wants the same . Its just a matter of finding a woman that wants the same lifestyle I like meals and having a few drinks but would not be into clubs every weekend so it would turn me of meeting a man that wanted to be clubbing every weekend its all about what you want and finding a partner that wants a similar lifestyle.
