this is easy.
The USA is shipping so many dollars to China and china doesn't value the dollar. So they buy other stuff with in dumb countries who then posses dollars.

Europe did great things in Africa. But Europe has lacked in education. However we weren't so progressive yet at that time.

It's not good for business for those states to be destabilised for any reason. I'm not stupid, Maddog. I know that we're selective when and where we attempt to introduce democracy, but nonetheless wherever we've tried the belief was that it would work. That they would freely elect a government favourable to us and create a business environment we want to work with. To not have believed this defeats the point of doing it.

I understand that you're saying it was a Sociological miscalculation, to think that somehow the ballot box might work in the West's favour if and when it was brought in somewhere, anew.

MY best guess is that *some* decision makers might have though that. The rest of that more informed Guess, says that the powers that be had all the information they needed to understand exactly what would transpire at any ballot box.

I should have said western-democracy at the outset. At the end of the last century we had the collapse of the soviet union and China being brought into the fold(of sorts)and the momentum at the time made western people and politics feel that the world was for the taking.

Who knew what and when can be scrutinised and the conclusions they made debated. I'm generally inclined to view the world as a greedy or arrogant ballsup rather than a council of elders with the world in its palm. However, the illusion of a council of elders may develop from the collective actions of an industry or organisation wherein nearly all of its members think alike as though they were a hive. But here I am again, the sociologist.

Why do the so-called experts refuse to see clearly that China was forced to sign unfair treaties and ceded much territories to many western powers? At the time, China was very weak with little or no power to resist any invading forces. With changes to the world situation, Chinese leaders know that the only way to make sure that it will never face the same situations of the past is to arm itself. What is wrong with the desire to defend oneself, especially when the US is creating problems around the world?

so America wins ( impossible ) all the Christians will be slaughtered or driven out in another huge refugee mass exodus,
