Albino man o' war...

Maybe it's albino man o' war or maybe mini pod people from Invasion of the body snatchers. Someone should be able to recognize this phenomena.

cognitive test...

Again I'm entertained to ignore a news story and jump down to the comments.
Regarding Trump having aced a recent cognitive test, one guy stated his wife is a doctor and said 'the fact that Trump's doctor felt compelled to give him this test signaled that the doctor was concerned about cognitive decline in the president.'

Interesting thought as he had the 'unscheduled checkup' at Walter Reed hospital last November.
Possible stroke?
A minor stroke can result in impaired thought processing and diminished use of an extremity, requiring rehabilitation. We have all noticed Trump's right arm failing to lift a water glass and needing assistance by his other hand.
He made a point of it at a rally, in proof he could single-handedly wield a glass of water!
Non-issue to anyone else but Important to him.

The best comment was:
Cognitive test for voters. Trump or Biden .......Vote for reality in 2020.

Trump vs. Fauci...

On a news story this morning... another Trump versus Fauci article. I've read a few and doubt another would change my view. That said, I went right to the comments as that's the BEST form of entertainment.

Even on Gilligan's Island they listened to the Professor not the millionaire

Trump makes most high school kids look like Rhode scholars
I believe that's Rhodes

Trump is slated to host a new reality show when he loses in November.....it will be called “A million and One Dumas things I did as President”.

Fauci: Do not fall into the trap. Just do your job. Stay focused. Do not go back and forth with the child. Children win at children games.

Who would you believe a reality show host or a expert in his field?

Say what you will, But I think buying stock in refrigerator trucks is a good investment as long a Trump in in office! 140,000 and counting!

Mango Season 2030...

On average, it takes about 10 years for a young mango tree to bear fruit.
We took some mangoes from my last visit before my house sold.
Some of the best mangoes in South Florida came from that tree.
A seed was planted and now a tree is born!
Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to plant fruit trees where I currently live.
Hopefully, I'll find a house and sell my condo before this new tree gets too high for my screened patio.

I suppose I could learn the art of Bonsai Mango!

Palace in ruin...

A woman came to the showroom this week asking if we could provide replacement cabinets for her house that was damaged by a water leak. My answer was yes and scheduled an appointment to measure to see what is needed.
She's an older woman with a very outgoing personality. Her taste is contemporary and she selected our display with gloss white cabinets... because everything in her house is white. Retired years ago, she told me she was in the design business and hand-crafted floral arrangements that included faux palm trees.

I made it to my appointment today and found a disaster in the making. All the furniture was gone, most of the walls were cut from 3 feet and below the drywall was stripped off the studs. Anything that was exposed to mold/mildew had been painted with a white sealer, probably something with the ability to stop the growth of mold.

The place appeared to have been decorated like the lobby of a casino. Mirrored walls, sculptured glass ornaments, artsy-fartsy murals, drapes and huge vases of palm trees. Forced to live in an extended-stay hotel, no one was allowed to be living at the house.
The drying fans had been removed and she was waiting for the drywall crew to return to close the walls so they can continue the restoration process. I measured what was in my scope. Looking around I see her house is on a lake and the back yard was complete with statues and artwork. Probably a place for parties, the barbecue had a canopy and the covered bar area had lounge chairs and outdoor furniture. Certainly a palace for this woman... complete with a hand-painted ceiling of blue sky and clouds!

It appeared the water seeped under some floor tiles and that would be a huge issue to re-tile the entire floor. She's in the stage of negotiating with the insurance company and working with a public adjuster. Something like that could hold up the project for weeks. Hopefully her insurance coverage is sufficient to get her back into her home. From experience, unless she wants to pull from her pocket, many of the custom design pieces will only be a memory.

Her once upon a time palace is in ruin...

Kim Kardashian with her Pomeranians Sushi and Saké...

Yesterday, a new member joined ConnectingSingles with the cutest (stolen) photo of Kim Kardashian posing with her Pomeranians Sushi and Saké. I often question the intelligence of someone posting a photo of a public figure on their profile. If you get the chance, stop by and say hello to YanaKey as I predict that profile won't be around very long!

Piece of cake...

I was doing some random surfing and hit a page with a link to a page that had a link to another page with a video of someone cutting 'things' and what was being cut wasn't exactly what they appeared to be.

See for yourself... It's a piece of cake!

Census 2020...

I received census questionnaires in 2 locations. The house I sold earlier this year. It had been vacant for many months while under renovation and the new place I'm currently living in now.
Let the new owner deal with the property I sold. Complying with the request, I mailed the form many weeks ago for new location. Maybe they didn't get my mailed response and a second request was received that included a unique census ID requesting I complete the form online and use the code in the letter.

I like the part where it states if I fail to respond, they will send a Census Bureau interviewer to my home to collect my answers in person.

Complied by mail-in form. Thanks... have a nice day!

The numbers...

Reports are new cases of COVID-19 are on the rise. I used to take a snapshot of the daily totals and the median age group 2 months ago was 55-64 where it's now shifted to younger people in the range of 25-34.

I'm seeing older people are adhering to wearing masks and the younger group aren't. You can draw your own conclusions...

If you've ever Googled yourself...

I'm not interested in social media and do my best to avoid Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc. but, it's impossible to be under the radar of Google search engines.

If you own property, they have you. Own a cellphone... you're on their list. Do anything of public record and it's a given, you're somewhere within the reach of Google.

Tonight, I did some research and found lots of things about me and family, most of it's inaccurate. Although they moved on years ago, my ex wife, niece, nephew are associated with my old address. Names are mixed up on some and my nephew's cellphone is attached to my name. That explains why I'm harassed by people looking for him whenever he's late on a car payment.

Mail goes to my house for my sister-in-law but she died a few years ago. I moved and the post office is forwarding mail to my condo. I'm delighted my stimulus check was a direct deposit and not mailed to... my old address. I believe if something important that cannot be forwarded gets mailed to my old address accidentally, the new owner will contact me to pick it up.

One of my nephews is a realtor and his name pops up on listings corporate ventures and all sorts of events he attended. Things like that are important to him.

Sometimes, I hear an advertisement on the radio about a company that specializes in eradicating details found on search engines. An alcoholic friend who died many years ago is still listed on an arrest for drunk driving! He didn't care about it when he was alive, it will probably remain on the police blotter forever...

He lived in a trailer for 20 years on an acre of land in North Carolina and the landlord said if he moved or died the old trailer would disappear. I checked Google maps, it's there and probably being rented out to someone with a hermit status. He's been purged (deceased) from voter records. So some progress has been made.
