U.S. kills Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri in drone strike

The United States killed Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri in a drone strike over the weekend, two people briefed on the operation told POLITICO.

In a statement to reporters, a senior administration official said “over the weekend, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against a significant Al Qaeda target in Afghanistan. The operation was successful and there were no civilian casualties.”

One of the people briefed on the operation said the strike in Kabul was led by the CIA.

10 Great Ways To Reverse The Recession

Here are some great ways reverse the recession immediately:

1. Turn the GDP chart upside down: Wow, that was easy!
2. Change what the word "recession" means: Why yes, the economy is experiencing good vibes. Thank you for asking, Mr. Doocy.
3. Play the reverse card from your UNO hand that you've been holding onto: Oh no! The economy played its own reverse card!
4. Think long and hard, 'What would AOC do?': Probably something really brilliant and progressive!
5. Form a Congressional committee to research how to get out of recessions so they can publish their findings in 3 years: The buck stops eventually!
6. Invade Canada and take all their GDP for ourselves: They don't have any guns to defend themselves.
7. Ask Ukraine for our $80 billion back: They probably haven't spent it yet.
8. Order a second season of Jan 6 hearings: That'll distract everyone from their financial pains.
9. Ask Joey, a fifth grader: He'll know what to do!
10. Replace the entire government with Ron Paul: We can only dream.

This should reverse the recession in a jiffy! But if that doesn't work we can always try redefining "reverse."

The New York Post, Wall Street Journal Get Trump Wrong - Jan. 6 editorials from the Post and WSJ.

he headline on a recent, amazingly wrong New York Post editorial was this:

Trump’s silence on Jan. 6 is damning

Over there at the Post’s sister publication, our friends at the Wall Street Journal, was a similar headline:

The President Who Stood Still on Jan. 6

Even as the riot raged at the Capitol, Trump wouldn’t tell his supporters to stop.

Hello? Say what? Where to begin with a factual correction for both the Post and WSJ? Both of them are personal favorites of mine and daily must-reads.

Let’s start with the White House rally on January 6 which preceded the events at the Capitol. As I have mentioned before, I had a literal front row seat at that rally. I quite distinctly heard President Donald Trump, standing mere yards from me, tell his supporters to march “peacefully and patriotically” to the Capitol.

When the rally was over, I went not to the Capitol but to my Marriott hotel room to fulfill my television commitments for the rest of the afternoon. The president, obviously against his will, was returned to the White House.

That’s where the WSJ amazingly if unconsciously notes: “At about 1:30 p.m. he went to the dining room…”

The WSJ then notes that the Capitol was breached at “2:13 p.m.” and that:

At 2:38 Mr. Trump tweeted: “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!”

Which is to say a mere 25 minutes after the Capitol was breached — not 187 minutes, as the January 6 Committee lies — Trump asked his supporters to “stay peaceful” — for the second time — and added a request to:

Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country.

Particularly startling is the WSJ saying Trump sat watching the chaos and was “refusing to send help.” It also says:

Mr. Trump took an oath to defend the Constitution, and he had a duty as Commander in Chief to protect the Capitol from a mob attacking it in his name. He refused. He didn’t call the military to send help.

What?????

Amazingly not noted in either piece is what Trump did in the run-up to January 6, specifically to protect the Capitol and the crowd of protestors.

Here is the headline from ace investigative reporter John Solomon’s Just the News:

Trump Pentagon first offered National Guard to Capitol four days before Jan. 6 riots, memo shows

Official Capitol Police timeline validates Trump administration’s account, shows Democrats’ fateful rejections of offers. “Seems absolutely illogical,” one official wrote about security posture hours before riot began.

Solomon reports this:

The Pentagon first raised the possibility of sending National Guard troops to the U.S. Capitol four days before the Jan. 6 riots, setting in motion a series of rejections by Capitol Police and Democrats that left Congress vulnerable as threats of violence were rising, according to government memos that validate Trump administration officials’ long-held claims.

Over at Townhall, columnist Deroy Murdock asks this:

Likewise, if Donald J. Trump (DJT) wanted his supporters to storm Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, and disrupt that day’s congressional certification of Electoral College votes, would he — two days earlier (sic) — have approved 10,000 to 20,000 Washington, D.C. National Guard (DCNG) soldiers to stymie his own seditious plans?

Biden Regime Plans to Give ID Cards to the Millions of Illegals Who Invaded the US Under Their Watch

Embedded image from another site

The lawless Biden regime is planning to hand out ID cards to illegal aliens who invaded the country so that it is easier for them to to access housing, healthcare, transportation and other benefits.

The cards will essentially make illegal immigration legal in America. It would allow the illegal aliens to show police that they are already in the system.

This would assure their permanent stay in the country.

And since most migrants toss their IDs in a ditch before they cross into the US, US authorities would have to trust the illegals to provide the details on their identity. What could go wrong?

This is the latest plan by Joe Biden and his handlers to destroy the country and encourage millions of aliens to continue to invade the US.

January 6th Hearings Have Backfired On Joe Biden And The Democrats

Democrats bet big on the January 6th hearings and things aren’t working out as planned.

The ratings for the hearings are terrible even though they’re airing them at prime time, and most Americans seem to have just moved on.

Trump Allies Plan To Go Nuclear On The Swamp If He’s Re-elected

Former President Donald Trump and his allies are planning a second attempt to “drain the swamp,” should he run and win in 2024, according to a new report.

Conservative allies plan to staff his administration with young professionals who agree with the former president’s agenda by reimplementing Schedule F, a Trump-era executive order, Axios reported Friday.

Trump created Schedule F in 2020. The executive order formed a category of federal employees who are in, “Positions of a confidential, policy-determining, policy-making, or policy-advocating character.” Under the executive order, the employees who fill these positions are subject to change during a presidential transition.

“The Federal Government benefits from career professionals in positions that are not normally subject to change as a result of a Presidential transition,” the executive order read.

The Schedule F category could apply to as many as 50,000 federal employees, allowing Trump to fire thousands of federal workers effective immediately. The tactic could extend to employees at the FBI, the State Department, and the Pentagon, Axios reported.

Trump’s staffers were hardly all in on the president’s goals during his administration. Trump’s famously strained relationship with former National Security Adviser John Bolton culminated in Trump firing him. Trump later told the Daily Caller that Bolton was a “dumb maniac who wants to go to war with any anybody that can breathe.” In 2019, Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci called Trump an “orange cancer.”

As Trump continues to drop hints about a potential run for president, Conservatives are creating a “new inner circle,” in an effort to avoid the staff revolts of the Trump administration. Schedule F may provide them with the necessary space to fill with ideologically aligned staffers.

“We are consciously bringing on the toughest and most courageous fighters with the know-how and credibility to crush the deep state,” Russ Vought, President of the Center for Renewing America (CRA), told Axios. CRA’s mission is to, “renew a consensus of America as a nation under God with unique interests worthy of defending.”

Former Trump senior advisor Stephen Miller started America First Legal in 2021, an organization that legally challenges many of President Biden’s policies. Now, the organization is also assembling a group of lawyers who could fill general counsel jobs in a potential future Trump White House.

American Moment, an organization dedicated to recruiting and training potential staffers in all levels of government, reports 700 “fully vetted” young people to do just that.

“Everyone in the federal government wants to act like they’re working in policy,” Saurabh Sharma, president of American Moment, told the Daily Caller, “But if you’re doing policy you’re immediately hirable and fireable at will.”

“It’s going to take principled and effective leadership at the top of the presidential personnel office to import Schedule F and make sure that the next conservative President can fill the administration with people they need,” Sharma said.

Sources tell Axios that a future Trump administration may need as many as 10,000 vetted personnel to fill jobs in the administration.

HOV Lanes in the USA

Here in America on our Interstate highways wh have HOV lanes which allow vehicles with 2 or more passengers only. I noticed this story today.

Pregnant mother in Texas sparks legal debate in claiming unborn child should allow HOV travel in post-Roe era

Brandy Bottone was 34 weeks pregnant at the time she was pulled over on June 29.
A pregnant mother from Plano, Texas is looking to contest a traffic citation she received for driving in a high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane, as she claims her unborn child should count as a second passenger.

On June 29, officers pulled over Brandy Bottone, who was 34 weeks pregnant at the time, as they suspected her of being the only person in the vehicle that was driving in the HOV lane, FOX 4 of Dallas reported.

She claimed, however, that her unborn child is a legal person, following a majority of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning of Roe v. Wade.

"He starts peeking around. He's like, 'Is it just you?' And I said, 'No there's two of us?'" Bottone told the Dallas Morning News.

"My baby girl is right here. She is a person," she told the officer, pointing to her stomach. Bottone was initially in the HOV lane as she was hurrying to pick up her 1-year-old son.

Bottone also cited the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization and claimed her unborn child was a separate, unique individual in the car, FOX 4 reported.

"And then I said, 'Well (I'm) not trying to throw a political mix here, but with everything going on (with Roe v. Wade), this counts as a baby,’" Bottone said, per the Dallas Morning News.

Worms vs Whiskey

If you put a worm in a glass of water it will swim around. If you put that same worm in a glass of whiskey it will die. Moral of the story, if you drink whiskey, you won't have worms.

More than a dozen Democratic members of Congress were among those arrested by Capitol Police on Tuesday afternoon as part of an abortion rights protest in front of the Supreme Court.

Wearing specially-made green bandanas with "Won't Back Down," they marched from the Capitol to the Court, which has been fenced off for weeks, since shortly after the leak of the draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
Within two minutes of their arriving, police began ordering them to "cease and desist." Instead, they sat on the street, and were one by one led off by officers as they chanted, "The people, united, will never be divided."
The US Capitol Police tweeted: "Demonstrators are starting to block First Street, NE. It is against the law to block traffic, so officers are going to give our standard three warnings before they start making arrests."

Leftists can't deal with the fact that guns save lives

Anti-liberty leftists are missing the point entirely when complaining that the Greenwood good Samaritan violated their nonsensical gun free massacre zone rules.

Does anyone want to guess why the mass-murdering miscreant chose that place to make a name for himself? Could it be that like many other murderers, it chose a massacre zone, a place that deprives the innocent of their God-given right of self-defense?

For some strange reason, anti-liberty leftists think that silly little signs and codes of conduct that say "no weapons" are going to work, even though they've never worked before.

The latest revelation is that the good Samaritan "violated" the sacred massacre zone rules of the mall, entirely missing the point that the mass murderer also violated that rule. Given that a good guy with a gun stopped this crime in progress, does anyone want to guess how long this story is going to stick around? You can almost track the coverage in real time on sites like Memeorandum, "an auto-generated summary of the stories that US political commentators are discussing online right now." Had this been the proper kind of crisis, the coverage would be expanding to no end.

As it is, the system picked up the article on this story, posted here, along with a few others.

The nation's socialist media precisely calculate their coverage based on how much they can get political gain out of someone else's pain. You can bet they were thrilled that this occurred — especially with the sudden appearance of a new generic ban on weapons:

Across the Capitol: We broke the news on Friday that the House Judiciary Committee will be voting this week on Rep. David Cicilline's (D-R.I.) assault weapons ban. It's the first time the panel has taken up such a ban in decades. The bill is expected to pass in the committee and then move to the House floor before members leave for the August recess.

We're certainly not going to imply anything, but the liberty-grabber lobby sure lucked out on the timing on all this, what with everyone talking about the absolute failure of the government to protect everyone. We sure can see them making a case for turning in our guns so the government can protect us, right? When seconds count, 400 law enforcement officers are only 77 minutes away.

Alas, the same piece took great pains to knock down any assertions that the anti-liberty left's gun confiscation agenda would result in guns being taken away:

Also, before the rhetoric really starts to crank up — and it will — here's the Cicilline legislation. The bill does not take guns away from anyone.
