Rich and poor....I've been both. Rich is better. ------Yes, we're all out here on CS. I've seen both sides as well, and wouldn't trade the working class early years for anything. But there really do seem to be personal characteristics that go with socioeconomic rank, and it seems some even evolve. Some are more striking than others. For me, it's how in general, poorer folks tend to be more giving. I've notice this world wide. Where, for example, are people less well off than on Hispaniola, both sides, although Haiti is more challenged in almost all ways, esp after quakes and interference from the shameless money grubbing "progressive" Clinton Foundation. But the indiginous folks our teams worked with gave us going away parties ("San Cochos") that were memorable, and quite costly for them. Same in Appalacia here, on first peoples' reservations, and in parts of the Dark Continent and Central America. Has this been others' experience? And perhaps not so oddly, at least here in the USA, surveys/tax data show that those politically on the right donate and volunteer much more than the liberals. The latter, however do indeed like to give away OP's' money. Aa. .
I've heard that venues exist for females, but it would seem that most are not daily, and are usually dearly commercial. Hairdressers, Tupperware parties, Mary K shows, etc. Perhaps some volunteer and Church affairs. But why so many daily gatherings for males, In nearly every culture. Cafecito Cubano and dominoes on the Caribbean island slave paradise, and elsewhere. Turk Kafe in Istanbul, and as in other lands of the religion of piece, water pipes with share tube mouth pieces. But I recall my younger days, when it was street corner gangs. Dreaam was to be allowed to hang out with the " 8th Streeet" punk toughs, or Flint section crowd. Watch pufter Leonard Bernstein's musical. I recall the adolescent drive to just somehow belong. the braggadocio, always pierced with vulgar tales of s*xual exploits, rarely true, but one never knows. We never came to blows, as we feared the coppers, unlike today, where the flat feet shoes are often on other feet. Somehow the Church and Synagogue were tangentially a part of it all. But folks, one still sees it. Sitting here in McD's saving on wifi, cheap piker as I am, and there are fully several such groups ranging in age from late 50's to what must ne nonogenarians. Mo wifeys in tow. Discussion ranges widely, but retains a few familiar central themes. What is it about us fellers. Is it now hard wired in the genome as from caveman days selection. Can there be similar groups for borh genders? For several genders? Have the corner non violent groups evolved into the likess of MS 13 als cogeners? I miss those days. Don't miss most Priests, Rabbies and Cantors, not to mention boy scout leaders and some ministers..Aa.
Hard to improve on much, even for a highly skilled and intelligent researcher, as I might just be. But, folks, it would be nice for them to present the results of a little research of their own. The data should exist to do so, or would be a cinch to generate, and even easier to work with. Using, for example, self reports of success and failures in the CS search for love, they might be able to present various strategies for outcomes here, based on choice of search approach used, with probabilities for success or failure, along with any reasons given for the results, real or imagined. For example, should one resrtict searches to locals only, or look around the world? Best to spend a little time each day with only newest victims, or those on line? Best type of pics? And so on. A bit of this assistence exists, as in tips on profile composition, and how to avoid scams. Some sites do make a lame approach to my suggestion, but it's done so poorly, it wouldn't make it as a project in even an undergraduate marketing statistics course. Much less real academic pursuits. Could be presented statistically--- by age, race and sex. (Which incidentally qualifies someone as an epidemiologist, if a they might be doc broken down but these three variables.) Could even be a marketing tool for the fat cats at CS, helping them to be first to VALIDLY present probabilities of success by approaches to searching. They could hire me to do so, but if they have to ask my hourly rate, they can't afford my services. As in pricing yachts .Aa.
since the 90's, in my limited but shocked experience, it must be good to invest in companies selling razors. I bet it's a generational thing. Certainly, not one of hygiene. Many of us are quick to anger at the behaviors of others. Think about the many irritating examples. The driving of others. Friends' forgetfulness. The adage---"one always hurts the one one loves". Most interactions with teenage miscreants. My own blogs. People who don't use full sentences. And so on. Wish I had learned the following solid truth decades ago. If I really think about it honestly, almost every annoyng behavior I experience with other humans is something I've myself done to others----often more than once. OK. So grateful that a certain Scandinavian country is allowing little ol' me to volunteer there. Plan to spend the summer, while my kids practice living on their own without dear Murmar (she's just next door) in my awesome dig, taking care of my veggie garden, other "plants', tarantulas, pit vipers, Tasmanian devils, one toed sloth, Australian funnels, German Shepard," Mr. Bravo", and full complement transgender haram. But it often helps, if we really are honesst with ourselves, too do a thorough and selfless honest moral inventory search of our MOTIVES in all we do, especially when we find ourselves in that goody two shoes----holier than thou, state of mind. Bougt a house, and wondered why so many "workers" were somehow in the pipeline, taking cuts from YOUR dough? Not just estate agents and bank. inspectors, but mortgage insurance, lawyers, assistants, surveyors, etc. Watch a film, and see how many film houses get listed several times while you just want the movie to begin. Looked at a hospital bill, and wondered why that aspirin cost so much, and how many folks were involved getting it into your mouth? Make a musical recording, and see all the parasitees involved. Lots of other examples of people earning off your dime, and only realy slowing things down needlesssly. Aa.
Everyone has an explanation as to why so called radicalized Muselmen have a penchant toward facistic behaviors, once they take over an area, as so often seen. In the distant past, their leaders were kind to those they conquered, even allowing religious freedoms. Now, at first the (typically illiterate) population, being Muslim themselves, and having endured the usual corrupt non government almost always not running things in these cultural and economic backwaters, seemingly are welcoming to the criminals. But soon it starts. Thought police on the prowl, checking to see if men have beards and the women are kept servile. via head to toe covering, etc. Schools don't have books that ignore the three R's in place of rank memorization of the Holy Khoran? Brothers, let's have a book barn fire. Woman wants a divorce from a real creep, or Allah forbid, smiles at a non relative male, or is out and about without the same, we burry her up to her head and begin the holy stone toss, with male relativess, usually dadio, the first to pick up the stone. Do I need to mention the almost pathological addiction to beheading? Whence this? Just read your holy Book. if you can read beyond third grade, unlike Redex. So, is it the directives in the Book to treat the infidel like slaughter beasts? Or the collective personal shame at knowing how great the Islamic world once was, and now is mostly third world (More books published in little Denmark each year)? The jaded look for scapegoats to blame, folks, no? Then there are the youthful hotheads in the West, who claim that their unemployment, racism, and other things (not of their own making) are responsible for their crappy lives, mostly all on the dime of the Western government welfare. Look closer, and it seems many such young folks went to madrassa like schools, where few learn marketable skills, like the 3 R's and science (boko Haram, no?), but they sure can recite their verses. Or is it liberal Western pols who coddle the bums and shout out Islamophobia or racism, whenever anyone tries to say truths, as some of these may be?. Finally, how about all those "peaceful Muslims", who up to now have not stood with us in the West, using their language and other vital skills, to hunt down the criminals, after we have provided them so much in terms of the good life, far away from the third world places they left to come here in the first place?.
