So, lets have some fun. 'I'm in the mood for love.'

I originally became exposed to this song, when I was a little kid watching The Little Rascals.
There was one episode called 'Pinch Singer'. In it Alfala sang a tune (off-key).

It was 'I'm in the mood for love', (originally written by Jimmy McHugh & saxophonist James Moody).

Of course since then, I've heard a number of people sing the song,
including Sara Vaughn, Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Rod Stewart, Peaches & Herb, and many others.

It's also been used as a jazz standard to innovate with, most notably by the great alto saxophonist Charlie Parker;

and piano great Art Tatum;

But, you know the lyrics, or at least the beginning.

"I'm in the mood for love, simply because you're near me."

Wonderful. But, this is 2021 and perhaps it's time for an update more in tune (pun intended)
with the current century.

So, starting with the opening, "I'm in the mood for love, simply because"........

lets have fun adding our own suggestions to update the tune.

To get us started I'll suggest;

I'm in the mood for love simply because....... of Viagra.

or ....simply because.... quarantine ended.

or .....simply because .... of your D cups.

or.............. add your own suggestions, if you like. cheers

I wonder why no one is focused on the real important stuff these days.

You know. The life or death issues like;

How many times an obese person needs to flush a toilet if they overeat on KFC & McDonalds

or

How the new light bulbs make you look off color when you spray your face with spray-on tan products

or

How we can make the middle class and poor pay a greater share of the taxes instead of the rich

or

Which brand of beans we should buy

or

Who stole something that wasn't stolen.

I just don't know how these crucial subjects somehow just disappeared without anyone putting most of their time focused on them. dunno

I got stabbed today

I was downtown and a man, who I've never seen before stabbed me.
He got me right in the shoulder, while I wasn't looking.
Lots of police were there and everything.

I mean, it wasn't that big a deal. I just got my first dose of Moderna. That's all.
I didn't even feel it. I still don't. They must be using very thin needles.

I had to pay extra to get the Gates microchip though. laugh
I got an Intel Core i7-10700K It features 8 cores and 16 threads, with an impressive base clock speed of 3.8GHz. The unlocked CPU can be boosted up to 5.1 GHz with Turbo Boost Max 3.0.

Yeah, I'll be doing some fantastic number crunching now, and be able to run down fly balls in the outfield
like the 10 Million dollar man. super

Wait until you see the blog output in the next few months. dancing

Heard tonight on 'Comics Unleashed'

"You know you've gotten old, when your favorite candy is.....Tums." laugh

Also,

"I don't see what the problem with gays is. It makes it a lot easier for me.
It eliminates most of the pretty guys and the dyke-ish women from the dating pool." laugh

While debatable what the best methods for change are, to prevent further slaughter of innocent people, children & adults, it definitely needs change, not resistance to change.
Change is inevitable. Growth is possible. "Lead, follow, or get out of the way."

Once again, Putin attempted to influence election - spread misinformation about our US president

Today in The New York Times;

Interesting, how those who claim to "think for themselves" are actually the ones who
are most easily misled to think, as other notorious negative influencers want them to think. At some point it is crucial to actually think, whether you are making America great by your actions, or quite the opposite. It's time to think things through, rather than to be continually misled by having your emotions manipulated. It's time to face reality and change for the better. head banger

Great Blue Heron at the local winter sashimi bar

While it is chilly with blustery winds today, the ice & snow is almost completely gone now, as spring gets even nearer.
The following photos were taken by me several weeks ago, when temperatures were much more frigid albeit less windy.

The initial 5 photos below are of a Great Blue Heron standing on a mostly frozen pond to get dinner through the only unfrozen area of that pond.

The last two shots were taken while taking crunching walks into the woods to find
stream 'winter wonderland' scenarios. I hope you enjoy them. tip hat

By the way, clicking on the photo will restore it's original clarity.
This site seems to reduce that when I post them here.

Parts of Colorado & Wyoming about to get hit with up to 2 feet of snow this weekend

A big snow storm, Xylia, is brewing in the Rockies Mountain area. It may give about 2 feet of snow in some areas this weekend, which would likely result in downed trees and power outages. While the area affected will be much larger in general, if you live in, or near, the triangle formed by connecting the dots of Denver, Casper and Rapid City, it will likely be especially heavy with snow. If you live there or know someone who does, please have them prepare for the storm now.
