This morning I left my ex-girlfriend's place to play modified fast pitch softball.
I went 3 for 4 at the plate, but the team did not fare as well.
It was very hot & sunny and got hotter the more the game progressed.
After the game, I stopped by a grocery store and bought seedless grapes,
mangoes, honey BBQ sauce and a package of frozen strawberry fruit pops.
I ate 2 of the latter on the drive home and am now finishing the last one
while having a fan blow cool air on me.
All I can say, is that, it..... feels so good.

Cop Nearly Killed By Trump Mob Rips GOP For ‘Peddling Bullshit’ On U.S. Capitol Riot
D.C. Police Officer Michael Fanone says Republican riot-denial “is an assault on every officer that fought to defend the Capitol.”
By Ed Mazza
A D.C. police officer who was captured by the Jan. 6 mob at the U.S. Capitol and nearly beaten to death is calling out Republican lawmakers who are openly denying the violence that happened that day.
Officer Michael Fanone told CNN’s Don Lemon:
“I’m not interested in getting into political squabbles. I’m not a politician. I’m not an elected official. I don’t expect anybody to give two shits about my opinions. But I will say this: Those are lies. And peddling that bullshit is an assault on every officer that fought to defend the Capitol. It’s disgraceful.”

The mob, egged on by then-President Donald Trump, was attempting to stop the certification of the 2020 election and keep Trump, who lost, in power. Many Republicans have since tried to defend Trump, and they’ve canceled anyone in the party who dared to criticize him. State and local GOP bodies have censured Republicans for speaking out, and this week, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) was purged from party leadership in the House for blaming Trump for the insurrection and calling out his lies about the election.
Since the attack, several GOP lawmakers have gone into full denial mode, with Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) claiming “there was no insurrection” and insisting the footage from that day looked like “a normal tourist visit.”
Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), who was blamed by his own family for helping to incite the riot, called the insurrectionists “peaceful patriots” who were “harassed.”
Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.) even claimed that the real victims were Trump supporters.
And Trump has said the rioters were “hugging and kissing” the police.
Video from Fanone’s bodycam broadcast on CNN footage he watched with Lemon showed otherwise. He was assaulted by the mob, beaten with a flagpole and zapped with a stun gun:
Andy, quick as a bunny to hop on the news of the convening of the grand jury regarding crimes in the Trump businesses and a not too farfetched defense by the 'stable genius'.

As Grand Jury Convenes, Trump Changes Name of His Company to Eric Trump Organization
By Andy Borowitz
May 26, 2021
NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—After news broke that the Manhattan District Attorney was convening a grand jury, Donald J. Trump changed the name of his company to the Eric Trump Organization.
The former President made the announcement in a press conference at his signature Manhattan building, the newly renamed Eric Trump Tower.
“Changing the name of the company is no big deal,” he said. “It’s going to be the same company that it’s always been—with Eric Trump running the show and me just following his orders.”
“It’s only fitting to call this company the Eric Trump Organization, because Eric is responsible for everything it has ever done,” he added. “This is long overdue.”
Asked about the grand jury, Trump said, “From what I’ve heard, they’re going to be looking into Eric’s businesses quite strongly. I hope he hasn’t gotten himself into a big mess. He’s been a great boss to work for all these years, and I wish him well.”

Body of missing man found inside dinosaur statue

The body of a missing man was found inside a papier-mâché dinosaur statue in a suburb of Barcelona, Spanish police reported, according to BBC News.
Police said a father and son noticed a smell coming from the Stegosaurus figure on display in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, and called police after the father saw the body through a crack in the dinosaur's hollow leg.
They called the authorities, who have identified the corpse as a 39-year-old man who was reported missing by is family.
Firefighters responded to the scene to cut open the dinosaur leg and remove the body.
While police have not confirmed how he got inside, local media reports that the man dropped his phone inside the statue and was trying to retrieve it, BBC News reports. He fell inside, hanging upside down, and was able to call for help. However, police have not confirmed how the man got inside the dinosaur.
Police are awaiting the results of the autopsy to find out the cause of death.
The Stegosaurus statue, which advertised an old cinema, has been removed, BBC News reports.
At this point, I suppose we can not totally rule out, an act of god, that the dinosaur briefly came alive and was hungry, or that Hillary Clinton was involved.

What is a woman's role according to the Bible?
Women did tasks as important as those of men, managed their households, and were equals in daily life, but all public decisions were made by men. Men had specific obligations they were required to perform for their wives including the provision of clothing, food, and s*xual relations.
Thou hath to shut thy proverbial mouth in public.
In response to: KJV: "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."
RSV: "I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent."
GNB: "I do not allow them to teach or to have authority over men; they must keep quiet."
This is "the word of god".
Now, that's a living wage. Good for TJMAX.
Hey, wait a minute. Perhaps the money TJMAX is SUPPOSED to be getting, is getting taken by someone else.

A former local official in Florida indicted in the Justice Department investigation that is also focused on Representative Matt Gaetz has been providing investigators with information since last year about an array of topics, including Mr. Gaetz’s activities, according to two people briefed on the matter.
Joel Greenberg, a onetime county tax collector, disclosed to investigators that he and Mr. Gaetz had encounters with women who were given cash or gifts in exchange for sex, the people said. The Justice Department is investigating the involvement of the men with multiple women who were recruited online for sex and received cash payments and whether the men had sex with a 17-year-old in violation of sex trafficking statutes, people familiar with the inquiry have said.
Mr. Greenberg, who is said to have met the women through websites that connect people who go on dates in exchange for gifts, fine dining, travel and allowances and introduced them to Mr. Gaetz, could provide investigators with firsthand accounts of their activities.
Mr. Greenberg began speaking with investigators once he realized that the government had overwhelming evidence against him and that his only path to leniency lay in cooperation, the people said. He has met several times with investigators to try to establish his trustworthiness, though the range of criminal charges against him — including fraud — could undermine his credibility as a witness.
Mr. Greenberg faces dozens of other counts including sex trafficking of a minor, stalking a political rival and corruption. He was first indicted in June. The Justice Department inquiry drew national attention in recent weeks when investigators’ focus on Mr. Gaetz, a high-profile supporter of President Donald J. Trump who knew Mr. Greenberg through Republican political circles in Florida, came to light.
Speculation about Mr. Greenberg’s cooperation began mounting last week, after his lawyer and a federal prosecutor both said in court that he was likely to plead guilty in the coming weeks. “I’m sure Matt Gaetz is not feeling very comfortable today,” Fritz Scheller, Mr. Greenberg’s lawyer, told reporters afterward.
The United States attorney’s office for the Middle District of Florida is leading the investigation, which is examining not only whether Mr. Greenberg, Mr. Gaetz and others broke sex trafficking laws but also whether Mr. Gaetz paid for women over the age of 18 to travel with him to places like the Bahamas.
A Justice Department spokesman and a lawyer for Mr. Greenberg declined to comment.
A spokesman for Mr. Gaetz said he had done nothing wrong. “Congressman Gaetz has never paid for sex,” said the spokesman, Harlan Hill, who suggested that Mr. Greenberg was “trying to ensnare innocent people in his troubles.”
Prosecutors often seek out cooperators in complex investigations where an insider’s account can help make their cases.
